FAILED HEART

Fred and Lynn were now outside sitting on a water fountain, they were enjoying the cool of the day. "Can you come with me, I need to get something" Fred took Lynn together with him to a doll shop.

They admired the dolls around. Fred bought two similar dolls with different colors. One pink, the other green.

He gave Lynn the green one. "This is for you"

"Thanks but, Why green?"

"Green represents me and pink represents you. I will be with you, and you will be with me."

"Wow," Lynn was surprised at this level of romance. She has never felt so much love. "Thank you" she hugged the doll.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Lynnette"

The alarm bell rang, Fred has to go to school, he wanted to go to school to see Lynn, he'd never seen her at the school before, but she promised to come to the senior school building.

Fred quickly dressed up and went to school, during the break, he had forgotten about Lynn's coming. He was practicing his mathematics when he overheard the discussions outside.

"What are you doing here? get out!" one of the students yelled.

"I am here to see someone," an innocent voice said.

It caught Fred's attention, and he looked over there and saw Lynn, she was obstructed by some of his classmates.

"Who do you want to see?" One of them asked.

"Please, it's not your business who I want to see"

"Get out!" He was about to pull her when Fred interrupted.

"Stop! Don't treat a lady like that. She said she intends to see someone, why don't you let her in?" he tried to calm himself, so he wouldn't speak harshly.

They let Lynn go and immediately, she ran toward Fred and hugged him. Fred embraced her.

They caught the attention around. "He's got himself a girlfriend." One of the guys around said.

"a minor," another said,

"a weakness" another whispered.

"Find out about her" James whispered to one of them, he was never happy to see Fred happy.

"Hope you are fine?" Fred asked, looking troubled.

"No, I am not hurt," She said smiling, she was staring up at him though Fred is a tall guy, Lynn could still reach his shoulders, she was very tall and mature for her age.

"You look beautiful on the pinafore," Fred uttered.

"Thank you, very soon I'll start putting on skirts and shirts" they conversed as they walked into Fred's class.

"Yeah, I am sad I won't be able to see you then," Fred said pulling out a chair for Lynn to seat. Lynn sat and Fred sat beside her.

"Don't worry, you will. On my first day at senior school, I will visit you."

"I am eagerly awaiting that, so what did you learn today?" Fred asked.

"Civic Education, Science and we would have English after the break," she said wryly.

"So, what did you learn about science?"

"Fred, I didn't come here to discuss studies with you" She frowns cutely.

"I am afraid you did" Fred was serious.

"hmm, Skeletal system"

"So, what are the types of skeletal systems?"

"Exo, Endo, and Hydrostatic" She sang.

"Tell me one animal that has the hydrostatic skeletal"

"earthworm?"

"Great, what does it consist of?"

"I think fluids, right?"

"brilliant," he smiled, glancing at the book he was solving before she came. "are you good at solving?"

"I love easy questions"

"Okay, solve this," he wrote out a question to her.

"This is algebra, right?"

"Yeah, the quadratic equation"

"I am in Junior class three Fred, I haven't been taught this" she complained.

Fred smiled and pulled her head close to his chest.

"woooooooow" the students made a noise of excitement and surprise, they had been watching them, and this embarrassed Lynn. Fred ignored them.

"Will you be able to make it to my place on Saturday?"

They started hearing murmurs around.

They heard him talk about coming to his house and it baffled them.

"Okay," Lynn whispered.

"Wait a minute!" someone said out loud behind them. It was Freda, she walked towards them angrily, "Who is she, Fred?" She encircled her arm around Fred's neck.
