Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 130: It's you again, kid, simply terrifying!

White steam billowed, and sweat poured down like rain. Zhang Beixing stood enveloped in the mist, his face obscured. Only a vague outline of his figure could be discerned. Blood on his skin mingled with sweat, trickling down to the ground and splattering into beautiful crimson droplets. Wounds were faintly visible; though they looked ferocious, none were serious—merely superficial injuries.

He performed a closing movement, regulating his breath to recover his state.

After several deep breaths, Zhang Beixing's heart, which had been pounding intensely from the excitement of battle, finally calmed.

Realizing this, Zhang Beixing slowly exhaled a turbid breath. Instantly, the strange phenomenon manifesting on his body became even more pronounced.

Seeing this, the police officers who had rushed to the scene were utterly bewildered. They stared at the sight before them, mouths agape, faces filled with astonishment! What the hell was going on? How could this person suddenly be spewing white mist like an overloaded machine? Is this something a normal person can even do? The officers were baffled and deeply perplexed by the situation.

But this was clearly not the time for their confusion. After briefly losing their focus, these police officers, relying on their professional training, quickly recovered from the shock Zhang Beixing had given them. Facing this man who frequently exhibited strange phenomena, they dared not be careless. They immediately drew the batons from their waists and shouted at Zhang Beixing, "Person in front, listen up! You are surrounded! Stop all your actions immediately! Raise your hands! Do not offer futile resistance, or we will take necessary coercive measures against you!"

As they spoke, the police officers also quickly advanced to surround Zhang Beixing.

Hearing their words, Zhang Beixing, who was regulating his breath, was momentarily startled. Then, realizing they were police officers, he raised his hands, his expression calm. After all, he hadn't committed any crime. An innocent man has nothing to fear. Moreover, he had acted heroically for a just cause. Zhang Beixing was filled with unwavering confidence, not a trace of panic or fear on his face.

The police officers quickly closed in. Soon, after emerging from the woods and surrounding Zhang Beixing, the group of police officers breathed a sigh of relief. However, as they took in their surroundings, their hearts instantly filled with immense shock.

The area around Zhang Beixing was a scene of utter devastation! A dozen or so people lay sprawled haphazardly on the ground, their life-or-death status unknown. Apart from the newly arrived officers, Zhang Beixing was the only person still standing at the scene.

"This..." Seeing this situation, even though these police officers had handled many cases, they couldn't help but feel their hearts pound violently.

They looked at Zhang Beixing, and one of them, an older, stern-faced police officer with two pips on his shoulder, asked with uncertainty, "Did you do all this?"

"Yes." Zhang Beixing nodded, not denying it; there was no need to deny such a thing. After all, besides these arriving officers, he was the only one standing. If he hadn't done it, who could have? It wasn't as if these human traffickers had knocked themselves out, could they? Instead of that, it would be more plausible to wonder if I could build a lithography machine from scratch. For a cheater like me, who possessed the System, this actually had a certain degree of feasibility.

"Holy shit!" Although they had mentally prepared themselves, upon receiving direct confirmation from Zhang Beixing, the police officers couldn't help but let out a simple yet heartfelt exclamation.

It was no wonder they reacted this way. This incident was simply too unbelievable! Let alone how absurd it was that the man before them had single-handedly taken down a dozen or so people. Just consider what these dozen or so individuals were still clutching tightly even in their unconscious state—machetes! If struck by those, a light wound would mean losing skin; a heavy one could be fatal. And yet now, aside from his clothes being somewhat tattered and him bearing a few minor injuries, Zhang Beixing's breathing wasn't even disturbed.

"This... Awesome!" a police officer blurted out instinctively. His inner shock was indescribable; only such a crude word could vent the emotions surging within him.

Hearing this, the others nodded in agreement. Their gazes towards Zhang Beixing were filled with a mixture of fear and vigilance.

Then, cautiously, they verified Zhang Beixing's identity. Learning that he was indeed the 'concerned citizen' who had first spotted the human traffickers and, seeing injustice, had acted heroically, they were filled with respect for Zhang Beixing. They quickly backed away and apologized for shouting at him earlier.

After all, as a concerned citizen, he had good-naturedly tracked the human traffickers and even ended up fighting them. Then they had shown up and, without a second thought, ordered him to raise his hands and not move, even surrounding him. That was indeed somewhat inappropriate.

To this, Zhang Beixing magnanimously replied that it was fine and that he understood. If he were a police officer on duty and suddenly saw someone standing in the woods with white steam continuously billowing from their body, he would probably have had the same reaction. In fact, if this had happened in the freewheeling land of America, it wouldn't be surprising if an entire magazine had been emptied in that short span of time.

Once their respective identities were clear, the tense atmosphere at the scene eased considerably.

The veteran police officer with two pips on his shoulder surveyed the scene and inquired about what exactly had transpired.

Zhang Beixing gave him a brief summary.

Upon learning that all the people lying unconscious on the ground were human traffickers,
