Chapter 377: Artifact Frenzy Quest [11]
While Elera was running in the corridor in search for Lucas, Lucas himself was resting himself in 4th floor bathroom.
After Aric has gotten between himself and his fight with Evelyn and stolen his achievements Lucas decided that it would be better to just sit in one place rather than running and fighting some cadets.
Unfortunately, Elera doesn't know that as she was looking for Lucas while fighting against white team cadets.
Of course by now the number of cadets has gone down and there not many of them left.
There is still some time before the Artifact Frenzy Quest would end.

Lucas sat on the edge of a sink in the dimly lit bathroom on the fourth floor, leaning against the cool tile wall. The bathroom was deserted, save for the occasional drip of water echoing through the silence. He had taken this brief respite after Aric's interference and his own exhausting battle with Evelyn's group.
He closed his eyes for a moment, letting the exhaustion wash over him. His earlier actions had been driven by a mix of strategy and a desire to protect his teammates, but now he was feeling the strain of it all.
The sudden clash of metal and the muffled sounds of distant footsteps reminded him that the Artifact Frenzy Quest was far from over. Even though he had decided to rest, he was still acutely aware that there were cadets who might come looking for him.
As he checked his gear and adjusted his armor, Lucas reflected on the recent events. He had given the artifact to Elera not just because it was strategic, but because he felt a genuine concern for her. It wasn't something he could easily explain, and the way she had looked at him earlier had stirred up a complex mix of emotions.
His thoughts were interrupted by a faint knock on the door. Lucas tensed, listening closely. It was not a sound he had anticipated—most likely, it was someone from the outside trying to check the bathrooms.
He carefully moved toward the door and peered through the small gap. He saw no one but sensed that someone might be in the vicinity.
Lucas decided to stay put, hoping whoever it was would move on. The last thing he needed was to be caught in a vulnerable position. He continued to monitor the sounds from outside, prepared to act quickly if necessary.
After few moments later, Lucas heard voice again but this time it was not a knock.
"Shhh! I think someone's is in here."
A faint voice of male cadet could be heard.
Lucas tensed up his muscles and peak outside through lock gape.
There he could see the a guy from white team was standing right outside of the door with sword in his hand.
'Fuck, I'm annoyed now!'
Lucas cursed and decided to take down the cadet quickly as possible.
He had thought that he would not his sword today and would continue to use bow but now was not time for that.
Lucas just quickly wanted to end this.
With that thought in mind Lucas pulled out his favourite sword that was given to him by Yato from his smart watch.

=====
Lucas gripped the hilt of the Sinister Of Sword, feeling its familiar weight and the faint, dark aura that radiated from the blade.
The sword had a menacing presence, a twisted beauty that made it as much a weapon of intimidation as it was of destruction. He rarely used it because of its unpredictability, but now wasn't the time to hold back.
The white team cadet outside the door was still unaware of the danger lurking just behind the bathroom door.
Lucas waited, his breathing calm and measured, his senses honed. He listened intently to the cadet's quiet movements, the soft scuffle of shoes on the tiled floor, and the barely perceptible sound of the sword scraping against the wall.
'One clean strike,' Lucas thought, his mind focused entirely on the task.
He was done playing games. Aric's interference, Evelyn's relentless pursuit, and now this—he was at his limit. He needed to end this fast and quietly, without drawing unnecessary attention.
The cadet finally took a step closer, almost directly in front of the door. Lucas took his chance. He swung the door open with sudden force, catching the cadet off guard.
Before the white team member could react, Lucas lunged forward, his movements a blur.
The cadet's eyes widened in shock as Lucas's sword slashed through the air. The blade cut cleanly through the cadet's armor, grazing his side just enough to draw blood.
The enchantment of the Sinister Of Sword activated immediately, and the blade seemed to pulse with life, absorbing the blood with a dark, ominous glow.
The white team cadet staggered back, clutching his side as his strength visibly drained.
His face twisted in a mix of fear and disbelief. Lucas didn't waste any time; he followed up with a swift kick, sending the cadet sprawling onto the floor.
Lucas watched as the cadet tried to push himself up but failed, his energy sapped by the sword's curse.
The Sinister Of Sword's [Blood Drain] enchantment was merciless—it didn't just take blood, it stole vitality, weakening the opponent in seconds.
"Next time, knock louder," Lucas said coldly, sheathing the sword. He glanced at the fallen cadet, ensuring he was incapacitated but not critically injured. There was no need to go overboard; he just wanted the fight to be over.
Few seconds later with spark of light, the unconscious cadet body disappeared in the air.
Lucas leaned against the wall, taking a moment to steady his breath. He could feel the slight rush of power from the sword's enchantment, but he quickly suppressed it.
The blade's thirst for blood was dangerous—it could easily turn on its wielder if not carefully controlled.
The bathroom was quiet again, save for the shallow breathing of the defeated cadet.
Lucas's mind drifted back to the chaos of the Artifact Frenzy Quest. There was still time left, but the pool of remaining cadets was dwindling fast.
Lucas tightened his grip on the sword's hilt, a faint smirk crossing his lips. He didn't need recognition or validation from anyone.
He was here to win, and that meant playing the game his way—even if that meant sitting in a bathroom with a cursed sword.
