Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1422: Gravity and Uplift

"As for what the second possibility is, the answer isn't difficult to imagine."

Leo Ray first restrained the pulsating purple magic radiance in his palm, then spoke, "The reason you came here is for one reason only — you had no choice."

"Only in this way can it be explained why you chose to parasitize the White Knight, because you simply had no other options."

Leo Ray stepped over the altar's steps and began to slowly walk toward the expressionless figure, saying lightly, "If I'm not mistaken, along with the explosion of the magical ley lines a thousand years ago, the surge from its depths wasn't just you; weren't there others of your kind following behind?"

"No choice? With others of your kind following?"

Upon hearing this, everyone surrounding Leo Ray, be they our strong allies or the Stone Spirits, couldn't help but show surprise and start following Leo Ray's train of thought.

Thinking along these lines, could it be that this guy was being hunted or captured by other 'Corrosion' at the time, leaving him no choice but to choose the White Knight nearby to hide himself and evade his pursuers?

Surprised at this realization, our members suddenly saw the light. No wonder the Lord had always appeared so confident; he had foreseen this all along.

Just as the Lord had said, if the arrogant opponent considered our side beneath notice, seeing us as mere ants, this indeed was the only possibility.

Directly in front of Leo Ray, the "White Knight" still chose to remain silent.

Perhaps due to not yet mastering the control of the host's expressions, the opponent's demeanor was no longer as calm as before but showed obvious fluctuations, which quickly settled.

"Let me guess, in the beginning, before the crystallization appeared, you were able to conceal yourself silently on your host, right?"

Leo Ray stood face to face with the "White Knight," stating, "Such concealment is extremely difficult to detect, even by your own kind, because the place where the White Knight is found is a battlefield strewn with corpses, undoubtedly the best hiding place for you."

"It's just that after you parasitized him, the gravely injured, dying White Knight completely lost consciousness and was unaware that more of your kind appeared later."

Leo Ray stared intently at the vacant eyes of the one close at hand, his tone calm, "Am I right?"

However, as Leo Ray's words fell, the opponent still responded with silence, providing no answer, like a peculiar statue.

Seeing this scene, the strong allies following closely by Leo Ray's side did not slacken in the slightest; as they remained vigilant, they all frowned again.

Leo Ray, however, appeared unhurried and said again, "Your Excellency, since you claim to be higher beings, evidently you disdain lying, right?"

"Master of the Human Clan, it seems that this guy's immense respect towards you in his mind is indeed justified."

After a long moment, the "White Knight" finally spoke slowly, voice still extremely hoarse and deep, "You're right, I indeed have no need to lie, because if the Great Catastrophe truly arrives, not to mention the trifling Human Clan, even those beings considering themselves first-rate peak powers would face only annihilation."

After finishing, the "White Knight" stated flatly, "I admit, your guess is accurate; I indeed had some disagreement with my kind, which is why I chose to part ways with them, and the White Knight indeed served as my refuge. I saved him, and unknowingly, he sheltered me."

Upon hearing this, our strong allies were all full of jubilation, expressing joy and excitement.

Indeed, the Lord surmised with just a few words that the opponent had conflicts with other 'Corrosion', even being hunted by them.

This undoubtedly meant that our chances of prying information out of the opponent had increased significantly!

"I know what you're thinking, and at this very moment, even the White Knight, completely suppressed by me, is filled with uncontainable joy."

Disdain appeared in the vacant gaze of the "White Knight", who sneered, "I indeed have some disagreements with my kind, but that doesn't mean you'll gain any desired information from me. If it were you, would you reveal everything to a bunch of ants?"

"Don't forget that it was the ants you spoke of that sheltered you, and that you, in your own panic back then, chose all of this."

Leo Ray's voice was firm and said lightly, "Your solitude may be your pride, but to us, it means nothing; also, don't forget I can at least easily destroy you."

"But I believe we can still find common ground."

Shifting his tone, Leo Ray said, "Since you're unwilling to talk about other things, then let's discuss why you had a disagreement with your kind; surely this won't involve your solitary pride?"

"Humans are indeed curious creatures, just as I've always seen them."

The "White Knight" pondered for a moment, then said frankly, "No harm in telling you. The reason I disagreed with my kind is simply because I am an anomaly among the 'Corrosion', that's all."

"An anomaly among the 'Corrosion'?"

Upon hearing these words, our strong allies, despite remaining vigilant, showed a touch of curiosity, while Leo Ray squinted his eyes slightly, continuing to listen to the other's words.
