Chapter 1420: Conversation in the Depths of the Great Hall
"Direct dialogue with 'Eclipse'?!"
Upon hearing the voice, everyone present paused and looked at each other in disbelief.
To know, whether from the previous Dragon Nest battle encounter with the opponent, or from Old Nick's terrifying experience, 'Eclipse' is an unknown creature with ruthless and extreme brutality, spreading nothing but death and fear.
Moreover, the opponent resides deep within the abyssal magical ley lines, a domain impossible to touch even for Tier 6 experts, certainly not a region our side could venture into.
In other words, from any perspective, the possibility of us having a dialogue with them is slim, and surely, they wouldn't initiate such a conversation with us, for it's the catastrophe described as the source in countless prophecies and books of prophecy.
"I understand what everyone is thinking; this indeed seems like an impossible task. Yet, we still hold a sliver of hope to turn impossibility into possibility because the 'Eclipse' I mentioned is not those deep within the ley lines, but rather is close at hand."
Leo Ray's face broke into a mysterious smile, nodding towards everyone.
"Lord, is what you mean the White Knight?"
Ariel Watson immediately caught on, her eyes lighting up: "Thinking about it, the parasitic entity on the White Knight, from the timing of its appearance to its parasitic characteristics, indeed resembles 'Eclipse' greatly!"
Having witnessed the true nature of the White Knight and heard of his past experiences, Ariel Watson clearly still vividly recalled those scenes.
"Indeed, but there are some minor differences, such as the color variations of 'Eclipse.' The ones encountered by myself and the elder president were purple, which is different from the blue on the White Knight. Therefore, I never confirmed the unknown life form parasitizing the White Knight as 'Eclipse,' merely classified it as a suspected 'Eclipse'."
Leo Ray nodded slightly, affirming: "And through Old Nick's description, we know that what he saw was brown, which undoubtedly implies 'Eclipse' may not be singular but rather could have multiple branches or types, with color differences not being surprising."
"This further confirms for me that the mysterious unknown life form parasitizing the White Knight is indeed 'Eclipse.'"
Upon hearing Leo Ray's words, everyone came to a sudden realization.
Though Grey Elder and others haven't seen the White Knight's true form personally, they had heard Leo Ray mention it before, understanding instantly what he meant.
With clarity in heart, Grey Elder's aged face showed hesitation, asking: "Lord, 'Eclipse' stands on the opposing side; if unwilling to negotiate, what steps should we follow?"
"Don't forget, we hold weapons capable of confronting them."
Leo Ray glanced at Little Moon beside him, smilingly responding: "While insufficient against vast numbers, eliminating a single opponent is well within our capabilities. Although this is the worst-case scenario."
"But Lord, the White Knight continues fighting for you precisely because of 'Eclipse.'"
Ariel Watson, with a similarly hesitant expression, asked: "If we conflict or even eliminate them, doesn't that imply the fall of the White Knight too?"
"Rest assured, I have long considered this matter. Even in such a dire situation, I have means to ensure the White Knight's safety. He has contributed greatly, and I won't stand idly by to watch him fall."
Leo Ray nodded in response, his face revealing a mysterious smile, continuing: "As to what exactly will be done, you will soon find out."
After speaking, Leo Ray composed himself seriously, addressing everyone: "All right, no time to waste, let's start preparing immediately."
Under twin moons and a starry sky, following meticulous planning, Leo Ray and his group appeared promptly within a brightly illuminated grand temple.
The walls and floors of the temple were adorned with intricate flame magic patterns emitting a blue cold light, creating a breathtaking and visually striking scene of flame and coldness intertwined.
The bright cold light reflected off row upon row of pure white pillars, numbering in the hundreds or thousands, evoking a spontaneous sense of sacredness.
At the end of these pure white pillars stood numerous meticulously crafted humanoid sculptures, varying in poses and attire, some in magic robes, others clad in armor, appearing lifelike.
Most notable were the sculptures adorned with exquisite lion crowns on their foreheads, appearing extremely dignified and solemn.
In front of these crown-wearing sculptures stood monuments of merit, inscribed with corresponding chronicles and achievements.
At this point, the location was clear to everyone, the deepest part of the Miracle Building within Coldflame Royal City's court— the Lion King Temple.
Leo Ray stood before the altar at the temple's end, Ariel Watson, Grey Elder, Elder Bing, Shelly, and other experts behind him; on either side of the altar, Xiao Jing, Little Jie, Little Moon, Little Illusion, and various Stone Spirits lined up, everyone fully armed and poised for action.
