Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1400: Steps Toward the Depths (Part 2)

Qunnie's starry eyes lit up as she proposed.

"I've considered your idea long ago, but don't forget the rules: only the Lord who captures the treasure can successfully leave and decide the fate of the other surviving Lords. Do you think the victor would spare us? In the end, we will still be left here, and nothing good will come of it—it's almost certain death."

Ethan Young shook his head decisively, denying: "So it's better to fight with all we've got; maybe we can grasp a sliver of hope."

"But what if the victor spares us?"

Qunnie's starry eyes dimmed as she murmured.

"Sis, do you really think there's another Lord of the Summer Realm here?"

Ethan helplessly smiled and continued: "Besides, those wolves and tigers won't spare us."

"But what if he is here? He must be more powerful than us!"

Qunnie remained hopeful and continued speaking.

"Are you talking about Leo Ray?"

Ethan quickly caught on and shook his head slightly: "Don't forget the information from the earlier prompt; there is more than one Lord Arena, and many rounds have occurred before us, and perhaps many are happening simultaneously. It's unlikely we would encounter that big shot."

Actually, Ethan didn't believe they would meet Leo Ray, and he chose to keep his last remark a bit vague to care for his sister's feelings.

After all, from the beginning, Qunnie was utterly captivated by Leo Ray, who had claimed many global firsts, and she continuously honed her talent and skill every day, hoping to stand alongside him. It was one of her greatest sources of motivation.

However, as time progressed, the siblings gradually realized they hadn't arrived on the same continent as Leo Ray, eliminating any chance of fighting side by side because Lords from different lands can't communicate through the Chat Channel.

Particularly when Qunnie confirmed this fact, the extreme disappointment on her face remained etched in Ethan's memory; his sister had never shown such an expression, not even in life-and-death combat.

But thinking that Leo Ray continued to advance gave the siblings tremendous strength, as even though they weren't in the same place, they were on the same journey as Leo Ray.

Moreover, what worried Ethan was that they hadn't received any news about Leo Ray for quite a while.

Because as everyone moved forward, after having the option to choose whether to do world broadcasts, no Lord had anymore, including Leo Ray.

Thus, Ethan couldn't confirm Leo Ray's current situation; he even pondered if Leo Ray had met his end somewhere.

Of course, even though Ethan's mind was filled with apprehension, he never mentioned it to Qunnie, obviously fearing his sister would lose her purpose.

"Sis, if it were Leo Ray, do you think he would halt his progress?"

Ethan gathered his thoughts, speaking with a serious expression.

"Of course not; if Leo Ray were that kind of person, how could he consistently remain at the top, leading everyone?"

Qunnie's delicate face also showed a determined expression as she said decisively: "He will surely move forward without hesitation. As long as there's a glimmer of hope, he will never back down; even with no hope, he'd turn the hope in his heart into reality, welcoming the dawn."

"Exactly, so we must not stop either; that's the only way we can hope to keep pace with Leo Ray."

Ethan circled back to the topic, raising his eyebrows lightly.

"Brother, with what you said, I truly can't argue."

Left with no choice, Qunnie grasped her Magic Wand tightly, her starry eyes glittering brightly.

After moving on for a short while, Ethan suddenly heard the report from their forward scouts: "Reporting to My Lord, numerous Magic Traps have been found in the ship cabin ahead—most are Tier 5, a few are Tier 6, clearly placed recently using Magical Scrolls."

"Are there any other routes forward?"

Ethan pondered briefly, then inquired.

"My Lord, we have thoroughly inspected; that's a hub area deep into the cabin, but a small passage runs beside it. It seems devoid of any presence, and we can't confirm whether more sophisticated Magic Traps are set up."

The scout's voice quickly sounded again, responding.

"Understood; do not make any rash moves; await our arrival."

Hearing this, Ethan's expression turned serious, and he relayed the information to his companions.

In no time, over fifty companions, including Ethan and Qunnie, arrived at the area described by the scouts.

Before them indeed lay a vast ship cabin region, and beside it, a narrow passage stretched out, enveloped in darkness so deep that one couldn't even see their hand in front of them.

"What do you all think?"

After confirming the surroundings, Ethan asked the accompanying powerful individuals.

"My King, the small road appears unguarded, but it might be the most dangerous; it's too narrow, making formation difficult."

With a thoughtful stroke of his white beard, the Tier 6 elder Bishop mused, "Thus, I suggest taking the broad road—at least we can see the dangers firsthand."

After the Bishop's words, the other strong individuals nodded in agreement, evidently sharing his view.

"Brother, the elder Chancellor is right; I agree too."

After sensing her surroundings, Qunnie nodded slightly: "We just need to dismantle the Tier 5 Magic Traps along the way to continue our advance into the ship's depths."

"In that case, let's commence."

Ethan wielded his Long Spear horizontally, directing: "Have the Magic-type Strong Person led by the elder Chancellor erase the Magic Traps, while others act as protectors and lookouts, ensuring nothing hinders our advance!"

Upon hearing these words, the strong individuals respectfully placed their hands on their chests and began to act in an orderly fashion.

Upon stepping into the expansive ship cabin area, the group collaborated closely and moved swiftly. The Magic Traps—whether installed on the ceiling, corners, or ground—exuding malevolence and conducing Magical fluctuations, swiftly became ineffective, paving a smoother path ahead.

However, upon reaching the central part of the cabin area, the situation suddenly shifted.

Before them, the elder Bishop turned back with a puzzled expression, reporting to Ethan: "My King, the Magic Traps ahead seem weaker than before and are seemingly failing on their own, as if clearing the area."

"Autofailing? How is that possible?"

Hearing this, Ethan was initially stunned but quickly reacted, shouting urgently: "Withdraw quickly! The real trap isn't the Magic Traps but the whole ship cabin area!"

Before Ethan's words were fully spoken, vast waves of overwhelming Energy exploded from all directions, and the area's passageways filled rapidly with dark shadows that soon encircled Ethan and the others completely.

"Heh, you notice only now? Unfortunately, it's too late."

A lanky, wavering male Lord emerged from the dense shadows, speaking eerily: "If you couldn't see through such a ploy, you have no reason to exist. Let me graciously remove you."

"Feigning righteousness after using vile tricks—it's despicable. Don't think this will make Lords of the Summer Realm bow down!"

The wand in Qunnie's hand shimmered with purple light as she snorted coldly.

"Oh? Didn't expect another good thing here."

The lanky male Lord looked arrogantly down from his perch, his hollow green eyes squinting as they assessed Qunnie's slender stature, drawing a vulgar smile as he sneered: "A Lord from the Summer Realm, huh? Let's see if you truly have the capability."

Listening to the other's sinister words, Ethan was already sweating heavily on his forehead.

He could clearly feel the opponent's strength was at least ten times his own.
