Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1398: Deeper Encounters (Part 2)

This is no surprise, after all, developing Demonic Energy Technology requires many different resources and facilities, which are clearly lacking on the ship among the Dwarf Elves; not to mention Alchemy Puppets.

Upon receiving Broy's feedback, Leo Ray nodded slightly, refocusing his attention on potential adversaries.

Soon, the group encountered a rather spacious cabin area ahead, similar to the previous sections they passed, formed by dozens of ships combined.

Before Leo Ray could step into the area, Jess sent a report from scouting ahead: "Your Majesty, the ground is littered with corpses; it looks as if the battle just ended, not long ago."

Upon receiving this news, Leo Ray's expression, along with others', turned grim, their blades and Magic Wands emitting coldness in the dark.

Amongst the cluster of powerful beings, as Leo Ray stepped into the area, a wave of intense blood scent surged into their nostrils.

Looking around, indeed, bodies lay in disarray everywhere, and the blood shed was not yet dry.

It didn't take long before Leo Ray noticed the corpse of a Lord lying prone on the ground, with bulging brown eyes veined with blood, drool and blood pooled, frozen in a mix of shock and fear.

Encased in shiny knight armor, the Lord's body bore only a single penetrating bloody hole, clearly an instant kill, while other powerful bodies around showed similar wounds, even their death expressions were remarkably alike.

According to Jess and others' assessments, although most of the corpses were Tier 5 Powerhouses, at least three were Tier 6 Experts, all from the same squad, and their equipment and Storage Rings had long disappeared.

"Lord, they must have been instantly killed by the same adversary from behind, with no sign of resistance."

Xiao Jing squatted, examining momentarily, tilted her head: "But among these corpses, some are Tier 6 Experts; even if one was suddenly attacked, others should have reacted, so how could they all remain motionless?"

"Indeed, they appear as if waiting to be slaughtered, and there are no enemy bodies around; the adversary likely accomplished this unscathed."

An intonation of contemplation spread across Shuert's wooden sculpture-like face, brows furrowed: "It seems the adversary we encountered mastered some method, catching them completely off guard."

Hearing this, the group of powerhouses involuntarily frowned; though the corpses' prowess was limited, the lethality of such methods induced a tingling scalp feeling knowing the adversary left unscathed.

Moreover, the battle likely happened mere minutes, even moments ago, yet we didn't detect anything, further proving the adversary's actions were indeed swift and clean.

"Interesting, but our strength far exceeds this level of a Lord."

Leo Ray diverted his gaze from the corpses toward their accompanying powerhouses,

seeing shadowy figures around him, a scale of five to sixty people, engaged in either investigation or vigilance.

Despite previously dispersing some combat power, most are Tier 5 Powerhouses, while those currently beside him are genuinely Tier 6 forces, except Broy and Konet controlling Alchemy Puppets; surrounded by over 50 Tier 6 powerhouses, he maneuvers with much ease.

"Your Majesty, we thoroughly investigated, the passages connecting here were all swept by Anemo Magic, erasing all traces, making it impossible to determine the other force's whereabouts."

Crisis and Fanny flew in succession, reporting to Leo Ray.

"Understood, but regardless of what lies ahead, it cannot halt our march."

Without hesitation, Leo Ray nodded toward the group: "Let's keep moving, if that force blocks our path, let them witness the colossal entity they've dared provoke."

Hearing Leo Ray's words, the powerhouses showed exhilaration, resuming their advance under his arrangements.

To better confront potential crises, Leo Ray decisively altered their formation, adopting a new approach as they delved deeper into the cabin area.

The Magic Cannon's booming outside the cabin continued endlessly, mixed with certain sea Demon Beasts' roars, sounding intense, yet inside, their group's advance remained utterly silent, passing like a swift breeze.

Just as the group of nearly sixty figures entered a broad cabin area resembling a storage section, a shadow in a concealed corner revealed a sinister smile, sensing new prey taking the bait.

With a thought, the once silent ceiling suddenly filled with rustling sounds, as giant shadows emerged spectrally in the darkness,

Their movement swift, devoid of any Energy Wave or aura, swiftly reaching the space above the group's heads.

In the pitch darkness, the array of giant shadows stood, gazes rotating downward from the ceiling, exuding imperceptible malevolence, with eight agile legs on each.

Silently appearing overhead was a group of giant spider Demon Beasts, body length nearly two meters, entirely black!

Due to the high cabin and pervasive darkness, the camouflaged giant spiders merged with the environment and were visually indistinguishable.

As the timing matured, a sinister smile curved at the shadow hidden in the dark, decisively issuing the attack order.

With the command given, over thirty giant spiders instantly trembled, spewing forth sticky, resilient webs, enveloping the group entirely.

In the blink of an eye, without time to react, the group found themselves tightly restrained by webs, immobile.

Witnessing this scene, the shadow emerged confidently from the darkness, face filled with satisfaction.

These Black Demon Armor Spiders were originally Tier 5, but after my Talent enhancement, they not only eluded Tier 6 detection but became tenfold tougher!

Unless a Tier 6 Five Stars expert intervenes, breaking free seems impossible; no exaggeration, caught defenseless, even a Tier 6 Giant Dragon faces inevitable death!"

Thus, his identity was beyond doubt, an Otherworldly Lord.

He swung his Magic Wand, calmly illuminating a Magic sphere, revealing a twisted, fierce face.

Under the hooded cap, pale eyes gleamed with contempt and superiority, leisurely approaching the group.

The Hooded Lord was followed by a gaunt blade-wielding figure exuding immense aura, evidently prepared for harvesting.

"Let me see, what kind of dimwit stepped into my trap again."

The Hooded Lord's face was playful, unabashedly saying: "I have to admit, the terror and despair etched on that dimwit's face were splendid, now die in fear and regret regardless."

After the Hooded Lord spoke, the gaunt blade-wielding figure understood, a poisonous grin emerged, in a flash appearing behind the surrounded Leo Ray.

Pausing not a moment, he thrust fiercely toward Leo Ray's back.

However, what occurred next was beyond what the audacious Hooded Lord expected.
