Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1354: Confrontation and Astonishment (Part 2)

As they approached the fortress, the Dragonborn commander was the first to step forward, introducing himself in a courteous manner, quite different from before, clearly showing the arrangement was preplanned.

After introducing himself, Nal first bowed to the other Dragonborn commander of higher status, then solemnly introduced: "This is Davis, the Winged Prince, a Royal Family member with the purest bloodline among us, and the commander of our grand army!"

Having said this, Davis elegantly lifted his visor, revealing a brown dragon face.

Compared to Nal, the minute scales covering Davis's face had a noticeably more lustrous sheen, and his eyes were closer to golden, undoubtedly indicating his stronger Dragon Clan bloodline.

However, the dragon face was distinctive, making it difficult to discern other facial features, leaving people unable to estimate his age.

After lifting his visor, Davis maintained a calm demeanor, smiling: "Apologies everyone, we were somewhat abrupt earlier. If there was any offense, please forgive us."

"Your Highness, you are too kind; we naturally won't concern ourselves with merely a commander."

Leo Ray slightly waved his hand, face devoid of expression.

The change in their attitude was likely an attempt to gauge our side's capabilities.

After all, to them, the sudden appearance of Dwarf Elves, who usually stayed within the tunnels, was indeed unusual.

Not only that, but the Flower Fairies, Treants, and even the Human Clan were also present, forcing them to reassess our strength.

Currently, the best way to assess strength is to first soften their stance, then seize opportunities to probe.

For us, revealing our strength wasn't an issue; it was a bargaining chip in negotiations.

After all, they were the ones who led the Dragonborn army to gain battlefield initiative, a formidable presence not to be trifled with.

"And you must be the Human Clan's Majesty? It's said the entire Human Clan thrives under your leadership, and you recently resolved the Blood Dark Tree situation, truly extraordinary."

Davis offered Leo Ray a faint smile, then turned to Broy, continuing: "And you must be the current Dwarf Elf Majesty? I recognize that crown, I once had the honor of meeting the previous Dwarf Elf King, a truly great monarch."

After flattering Broy, Davis's gaze shifted to Crisis and Shuert, easily recognizing their identities through their accessories.

Crisis, who assumed the role of Wood Fairy Clan Leader over two hundred years ago, aside; Davis's tone suggested he had also encountered Shuert at the Shadow Market several times.

After greeting our leaders one by one, Davis maintained a smiling demeanor, "May I ask what brings you here at this late hour?"

"Your Highness jests, this is our territory, must we notify you of our movements?"

Leo Ray mirrored a smiling demeanor, as if meeting an old friend.

"Your territory? To my knowledge, this is the Dwarf Elf's Waterfall Watcher Fortress, and the Dwarf Elves, Treants, and Wood Fairies always had their guards up against each other, never united, especially not with the Human Clan."

A glint of scrutiny flashed through Davis's pale golden eyes, "Could it be that you've formed an alliance?"

"Your Highness's astuteness is commendable."

Upon hearing this, Leo Ray smiled faintly, without confirming or denying.

"What about the giant dragon that resides here?"

Davis furrowed his brow slightly, blurting out impulsively.

In fact, since last night, Davis had received reports of unusual energy fluctuations emanating from near Mist Dream Peak.

However, the area around Mist Dream Peak is perpetually shrouded by fog and Dragon Mirage, and energy fluctuations were always exceptionally abnormal.

Moreover, it's the territory of the giant dragons, known for their strong territorial instincts. Though Dragonborn have dragon blood, they share no direct connection with the Dragon Clan and have never been acknowledged by them.

In the haughty eyes of the Dragon Clan, Dragonborn were indistinguishable from Sub-dragons with trace dragon blood, hence even Dragonborn dared not easily tread into that region, let alone investigate the situation.

Considering the current alliance of the Three Great Powers with the Human Clan, perhaps those energy fluctuations weren't coincidental but indicative of a real event.

Thinking about this, Davis's brow furrowed more, "Could it be you've dealt with the giant dragon residing here?"

Upon this query, the surrounding Dragonborn experts, including Nal, were astonished, exchanging bewildered glances.

After all, to the Dragonborn, the Dragon Clan is an untouchable existence. Under the suppression of dragon blood, ordinary Dragonborn fear confronting a giant dragon, even Tier 6 Experts.

Yet, the seemingly insignificant Human Clan, together with Dragon Clan's previous defeated underlings, supposedly defeated the Dragon Clan, it's unimaginably strange.

But the Prince's inference was correct, if the giant dragon were still here, how could insignificant humans and the three other forces exist here unopposed?

More critically, from the demeanor and words of the human leader, it appeared they held the dominant position, surpassing the Dwarf Elves, Wood Fairies, and Treants. When did the insignificant Human Clan become so powerful?

Amidst the astonished crowd, even the eyes of the two Light Half-Elves beneath their hoods held a hint of surprise, fixated on Leo Ray's calm expression.

"Perhaps."

Leo Ray maintained an enigmatic demeanor, neither confirming nor denying.

Saying this, Leo Ray, still as if conversing with an old friend, smiled: "Your Highness, your curiosity is now satisfied. Surely Your Highness has gotten the answers you were seeking? So can Your Highness explain why you've crossed the border without permission and brought an army to our gates?"

"Your Majesty of the Humans misunderstands, there's no such thing as bringing an army to your gates."

Davis's smiling demeanor remained unchanged, slightly waving his hand: "We have no intention of opposing you, just wish to pass through. Your territory holds something we need, that's all. We kindly ask Your Majesty of the Humans and everyone else for a favor, and the Dragonborn will remember this bond of friendship."

"Pass through? Invading someone else's castle and trying to take what's theirs, Your Highness calls this passing through?"

Leo Ray's smile abruptly vanished, speaking calmly: "Apologies, Your Highness, we cannot grant such passage."

"Oh?"

Seeing Leo Ray's expression turn into a poker face, Davis's smiling dragon visage also faded, voice lowered: "What if I insist on this passage?"

"Then, dear Prince, feel free to try."

Leo Ray slightly raised an eyebrow, the aura at the Waterfall Watcher Fortress becoming more imposing, clearly prepared for a direct confrontation with the Dragonborn forces.

"I advise you, do not refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!"

Witnessing Leo Ray's utter disregard for face value, offering not even a symbolic concession, Davis was instantly enraged, clearly stripping away his prior gentle facade.

As a dominator of the Outer Region forces, Davis had never regarded the weak Human Clan significantly, and now seeing Leo Ray daring to stand so firm against him, his internal anger was undeniable.

Just as Davis was about to lose his temper and irreparably break the facade, a Light Half-Elf stepped forward, gently stopping him.

The figure calmly took a step forward, removing her hood, as a crisp yet elegant female voice sounded: "Respected Human Majesty, honored guests, on behalf of us, could you please extend a courtesy?"
