Ji Ah's POV:

"I still don't think this is a good idea" Kai said. We all were standing outside the school gate. The stars had lined up like beautiful diamonds in the sky and the moon was shining upon us. We had told our parents that we were going out to party. Little did they know that this so called "party" was going to be in a forbidden room in the school's basement. If my parents found out, I would be dead before that so called "ghost" could get me.

"Chill Ning Ning, all of us are with you, it's going to be alright!" Taehyun said, giving him an assuring smile that didn't look like assured him much.

"Let's go inside, guys!" Hyunjin said.

"Wait a minute!" I said, before we could enter.

"What is it?" Yeonjun asked.

They are going to be so freaked out now, you should have told them earlier Ji Ah. I said, scolding myself.

"Ji ah? Are you ok?" Yeonjun asked worriedly, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ah yeah. Yeah I am good. Anyways, I wanted to tell you a story that my dad told me about that room before we go there" I said making them all nervous.

"Really boomer? You couldn't have told us before. Now you are goning to make me even more scared" Kai said.

"Penguin, I forgot, ok? Now listen to me. My dad said that a long time ago, when all of us were little kids, there used to be a man who worked in this school as a teacher. He was a married man with a son and a wife. One day he discovered this book in the school's backyard. It was weird since no one was there. It looked as if the book dropped out of nowhere. He decided to keep it in the school's library. But as soon as he picked it up, it was like he got attached to that book. He couldn't just leave it. Weird things started happening to him because of that book. One day, with a lot of courage, he came into that forbidden room and hid the book in a box there. He ran away from the room as fast as he could and got in his car. But not too later, he got into a car crash and died. From that day on, it was believed that the book was cursed. So anyone who sees it, should not touch it or take it with them" I said, completing the story.

All of their mouths were agape after hearing that, even Soobin. I let out a nervous chuckle.

"That's it, I am not going there. I am yeeting to my house!" Kai said, ready to leave with Beomgyu. Seul, Rosé and Chaeryoung were ready to leave as well.

"Please guys, you really believe that story? We didn't come here for nothing. Plus we are so many people together! There is no need to be afraid" Hyunjin said.

"Yeah, what if Ji Ah's father just told that story to scare her, so that she doesn't go into that room" Felix said and the others agreed with him, except for the scaredy cats of course. Not gonna lie, that kinda hurt Felix, I believed that story my whole life and still do, but whatever.

"Well, the only way to find out is if we go inside, so let's go" Ryujin said and Soobin opened the gate.

"Why do you have this backpack dude?" Hyunjin asked Soobin

"Because I know that some amazing people here would forget to bring flashlights" Soobin said, unzipping his bag and handing out flashlights to Seul, Kai and Hyunjin.

They all just laughed awkwardly and thanked him while he shook his head. Me, Yeonjun and Felix were walking at the back. I noticed Felix seemed kind of lost. He had been like this ever since we arrived here.

"Lix, is everything ok?" I asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. He looked slightly startled, but smiled nonetheless.

"Oh yes, everything is great Ji Ah. I was just thinking whether a ghost really is there or not" He said.

"Well, guess we will have to find out" I said, smiling.

"Can you guys like hurry up, everyone is already inside" Yeonjun said, looking impatient. It looked like he was annoyed. Wonder what's wrong with him.

Yeonjun's POV :

Why did this Felix had to come here? He is not even in our friend group. He is only friends with Ji Ah and Hyunjin. No one likes him, except for Ji Ah and Hyunjin. I don't even know what she sees in him. Is he more good looking than me? Is he more nice than me? Of course he is. He is much more nicer and happier. At least he makes her smile. In my case it's always she who makes me smile, it's hardly ever the case that I make her smile. Maybe that's why she likes him more. But I can't see her with someone else. But then again I can't make her like me forcefully. Ahh this is so frustrating!

"Yeonjun! What the hell are you doing?" Soobin said, as he made me move to the side. I looked up to see a pillar in front of me.

"Ah, I didn't see where I was going" I said, looking behind and watching the two talking and laughing. Whatever.

"But you should, I don't want you to end up in the hospital!" Soobin said, putting an arm around my shoulder, as we began walking.

"You like her, right?" He asked.

"Huh? I replied.

"You like Ji Ah" He said, making my eyes widen in shock. How did he know?

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Come on bro, you are too obvious. I can see the way you look at her and the way you get jealous whenever she is with Mr Deep voice" He said.

"Guess everyone will know except her" I said, sighing.

"Don't worry, she will know one day and I am sure she likes you too!" He said, rubbing my shoulder assuringly.

"Don't give me high hopes, Soobin" I said.

Suddenly there was a loud clap that echoed in the hall. Everyone looked startled and the scaredy cats looked even more scared.

"What the hell?!" Seul said, with a scared Chaeryoung clinging onto her.

"Bitch we haven't even arrived at the room yet, and already! Bye I am leaving" Kai said, only to be stopped by Hyunjin.

"Guys, guys chill! It was me, not a ghost" He said.

"What the hell? Why are you clapping right now? There is not a concert going on here" Rosé said.

"Oh really? I thought we came here to see Michael Jackson today" Hyunjin said sarcastically, earning a glare from Rosé.

"Then care to explain why you clapped, Rapunzel wannabe?" Ji Ah asked, crossing her arms. Felix snickered beside her. I just rolled my eyes

"Well real Rapunzel, there was this annoying mosquito buzzing in my ear. Had to get rid of it" He explained.

"Could have just said that in the first place" Rosé said, rolling her eyes.

"Could have just asked me in the first place" Hyunjin said, mimicking her. Soon the duo started bickering and we had to stop them.

"Let's go guys, we should stop wasting time" Ryujin said and we all nodded and hurried our pace.

Ji Ah's POV :

We finally arrived at the basement and Soobin opened the door of the room. It was pitch black inside, we pointed our flashlights inside, trying to find if there was a light switch. Surprisingly, there was. We turned it on and the room lit up.

"What the hell?!" We all exclaimed together. It was no where close to a haunted room. It was clean and had a big couch, a table and a book shelf in it.

"This is the haunted room? Y'all, are we in the right room?" Jennie asked.

"Yes, we are. Weirdly enough I am not getting any weird vibes right now" I said, furrowing my eyebrows.

"This is the most cozy haunted room I have ever seen!" Taehyun said, sitting on the couch.

"What is that door?" Chaeryoung asked pointing at a door in the distance.

"Wait, I'll check it" I said.

"I'll come with you" Yeonjun said. I nodded and we both went to open it. Luckily it was open. It was another room, but smaller than the one we were in. The lights were already on.

"Why are the lights on?" Beomgyu said, looking scared.

"What if someone is already here?" Kai asked.

"Penguin, use your brain. If someone was here, then why would the door of this room be locked? And there is no other door in here. And the window is way too small for any human to fit in" I said.

"Unless it's a ghost" Ryujin said, making the scaredy cats scream.

"Seriously Ryu, you know how scared they already are!" I said, shaking my head.

"That's the only explanation I have for the lights being on" She said, shrugging her shoulders.

"It must be some electricity problem. Let's not discuss that right now. We came here to check if it's really haunted or not, so let's do that" Hyunjin said.

"I am going to check in the other room" Soobin said.

"I'll come with you as well" Felix said.

"Where do you want to go?" Yeonjun asked.

"Home" I said, making him chuckle.

"Let's just sit on the couch here" He said and I agreed.

"Ayo penguin and clown, you aren't exploring?" I asked, looking at Kai and Seul, who were still sitting on the couch.

"Hell no. I am just going to sit here" Seul said.

"Same with me" Kai agreed.

"Understandable. This room is pretty huge though, it's almost like a hall. Not to mention there is a second room attached. Looking from outside, I thought it would be pretty small" I said. They all nodded.

"Yeah and it doesn't look dusty or old at all. That's weird. Do you think someone comes in here to clean?" Yeonjun asked.

"Maybe" I said. Suddenly the lights started flickering.

"What the hell is this now?" Kai said.

"Maybe it's just electricity problem." I said. The lights started flickering even more violently. Everyone looked scared now.

"I swear to God if it's Soobin and Felix messing with us right now" Taehyun said.

"We aren't doing anything hyun, the lights are flickering here as well!" Soobin's voice came from the other room.

I started getting those weird vibes again. We were the only people in this room, then why did it feel like there was someone else as well, watching our every move.

"Ji Ah? Are you ok?" Yeonjun asked.

"Huh? Yeah. I am good. It's just... I am getting those weird vibes again" I said.

"Guys, let's just get out of here, it's getting late anyways" Rosé said. Everyone agreed and we got out of there, turning the lights off.

We were all standing in the school ground now, out of breath as we ran all the way here.

"That was really weird. Do you think it was someone messing with us?" Ryujin asked.

"I don't think so. I mean we were the only ones in the room and there was no cctv camera there" Hyunjin said.

"I still don't know whether it's haunted or not!" Soobin said and Hyunjin and Ryujin nodded.

"What?! Even after what happened? It's defintely haunted you dumbshits" Beomgyu said, clinging onto Taehyun, who just had a blank expression on his face.

"I agree with him. It's definitely haunted." Seul said.

"Come on guys, that room is really old. It could be the lights" Jennie said.

"I don't know about you guys, but I am really tired and just want to sleep. So let's go home" I said.

"Come on Ji Ah, its the weekend tomorrow. You have all day to sleep. Let's discuss this right now" Hyunjin said.

"There is nothing to discuss. Come on now, let's go." I said. They finally agreed and we started walking home. I looked back to see Soobin and Felix lost in their own world. I went upto them.

"Hey guys, is everything alright?" I asked. That snapped them out of their thoughts.

"Yeah, yeah we are good" Soobin said and Felix nodded in agreement. I wasn't convinced but decided not to ask further.

"That's good!" I said, smiling.
