ETERNAL SLUMBER: THE LAZY LORD WHO RULES THE WORLD

Chapter 42: Chapter 41 – The Gods’ Desperation

The celestial halls were in chaos.

For the first time in recorded history, the gods—beings who had once ruled creation without question—were afraid.

"We must act! We cannot sit idly by while that thing exists!" One god slammed his fist against the grand table, his voice shaking with frustration.

"And what do you suggest?" another god retorted. "Even the Primordial One refused to interfere! We are powerless!"

Silence fell over the divine gathering. No one dared to argue against the truth.

Frank Luminous was beyond them.

His power had no limits, no weaknesses, and no equal.

He wasn't just stronger. He wasn't just unreachable. He was untouchable.

A god with the power to destroy reality itself, yet…

He did absolutely nothing.

Mortal Realm – Frank's Estate

Frank lay stretched out under a cherry blossom tree, eyes closed, a book resting on his chest. The soft petals drifted around him as a gentle breeze passed through the courtyard.

He could feel it—the gods watching him, panicking, scheming.

He smirked.

"They're still trying to figure out how to stop me?"

He almost laughed. There was nothing they could do.

But their desperation was amusing, in a way.

It was like watching ants try to push over a mountain.

Frank sighed, stretching his arms.

"Should I give them a little push?"

His golden eyes flickered slightly.

High above in the celestial realm, every god suddenly felt an immense pressure crash down on them.

Their divine palaces trembled. Celestial flames flickered and dimmed. Even the Supreme God gasped as his throne cracked beneath him.

It lasted for only a moment.

But to the gods, it was an eternity of absolute terror.

Back in his courtyard, Frank yawned.

"That should keep them busy for a while."

He picked up his book and continued reading.

The gods?

They could panic all they wanted.

He had a story to finish.
