ETERNAL SLUMBER: THE LAZY LORD WHO RULES THE WORLD

Chapter 39: Chapter 38 – The Summoning of the Primordial One

The divine halls of the Celestial Pantheon trembled as ancient chants echoed through the vast chamber. The Supreme God, along with the highest-ranking deities, stood in a perfect circle, their hands raised toward the heavens.

At the center of their formation, a massive golden sigil pulsed with an ominous light.

"This is our last chance," Elvaron muttered, his voice strained as he poured his divine essence into the ritual.

Thalvion, the God of War, clenched his fists. His once-proud battle spirit was now fueled by fear. "If this doesn't work, we—"

"Silence," the Supreme God ordered. His golden eyes glowed with divine authority as he focused all his power into the sigil.

The gods obeyed, their voices uniting into one final incantation.

And then, the universe itself seemed to halt.

The golden sigil shattered, releasing a surge of energy so immense that even the Supreme God staggered. The air grew thick, time slowed, and the very concept of existence seemed to warp.

And then—a presence descended.

From beyond the veil of reality, it emerged.

A being of incomprehensible form. Neither god nor mortal.

It took no single shape. To some, it appeared as a colossal shadow stretching beyond the stars. To others, a blinding light that devoured all in its presence.

Its voice was neither male nor female, neither loud nor quiet, yet it echoed across all of creation.

"Who… dares… summon me?"

The gods knelt instinctively, unable to resist the crushing weight of its existence. Even the Supreme God found himself bowing, his divine body trembling under the pressure.

"…O Primordial One," the Supreme God spoke with great effort. "We call upon you to erase an anomaly… a being that should not exist."

The formless entity pulsed. "Speak."

Elvaron, still kneeling, swallowed hard. "His name is Frank Luminous. A mortal who has surpassed the divine order itself."

Silence.

Then—laughter.

A deep, reverberating laugh that sent shockwaves through the entire celestial realm. The gods flinched, confusion flickering in their eyes.

And then, the Primordial One spoke again.

"Fools."

The Supreme God's breath caught in his throat. "…What?"

"You seek to erase him? Do you truly believe that is within my power?"

The gods froze.

Elvaron's eyes widened in horror. "You… you mean—"

"Frank Luminous is beyond even me."

The words struck the gods like a divine hammer. The being they had placed all their hopes on… was admitting its own inferiority.

The Supreme God clenched his fists. "That… that cannot be. You are the First. The Creator of All."

"And yet, even I cannot touch him." The Primordial One's voice carried no doubt.

The gods fell into stunned silence.

Their last hope… was nothing more than an illusion.

The Supreme God's body trembled. "…Then what are we supposed to do?"

For the first time in the history of the divine realm, the Primordial One gave no answer.

Meanwhile, far below, Frank Luminous yawned.

Seated at his usual spot beneath his favorite tree, he stretched lazily before flipping to the next page of his book.

"They actually did it, huh?" He chuckled. "Can't say I'm surprised."

He turned another page.

A moment later, his golden eyes flickered.

And in that instant, in the far reaches of the celestial realm, the Primordial One shuddered.

For the first time in eternity—it felt fear.

Frank sighed, resting his chin on his hand.

"Maybe I should remind them why I'm called the Lazy Lord."

His golden eyes glowed faintly.

And across all of existence, every god held their breath.
