Chapter 62: Predicament
Somewhere in the Empyrean Sun Sect…
Himora was sitting in a beautiful room that matched her countenance. There were transparent silks and white cloths everywhere. There was also a decent amount of mirrors in the room.
Despite the abduction and annihilation of her family, she received phenomenal treat meant in the sect. Those who knew of her presence treated her kindly, and also addressed her as young miss, especially Adrian.
She was allowed to go many places in the sect, but had to be accompanied by an attendant named Aria.
She had a restriction placed on her that didn't allow her to speak of her origins, nor what happened to her family.
Her attendant, Aria, was also placed in a bind agreement that gave her wonderful benefits in exchange for caring for and watching over Himora.
She was to report if Himora had any success in comprehending the Empyrean Sun technique, as well any behavior that indicated she was planning something fishy, unhappy, or depressed.
Actually, Himora only showed hatred, fear, resentment, sadness, and endless tears the first day she woke up in the Empyrean Sun Sect when she recalled what happened.
The second day it was pure anger as her body constantly released dense stainless aura that radiated ridiculous heat, that even affected Felix when he paid her a visit.
On the third day she showed complete emptiness. She just sat in a lotus position the entire day meditating, clearing her mind and cleansing her emotions. There was no need for her mind to be plagued by all of the negative feelings she was feeling.
Her stainless physique reacted violently to the point where she couldn't control her powers unless she cleansed herself of her tainted state of mind.
That didn't mean she forget those feelings or what happened she just had to maintain a neutral mental state.
She still knew exactly how she truly felt and what she needed to do. She also knew it was highly likely her brother was still alive because Oswalt had told him to leave the estate prior to the annihilation.
She even sent him a message through the connection of their soul modules on the sixth day, letting him know everything was fine and she was being treated well, but that she could also feel the hidden intentions.
He didn't see it because Alma hid it from him until he embarked on his journey, so that he could focus on the dangers ahead of him. She planned to inform him the moment he made it where he was headed in order to ignite the flames in his heart and give him motivation to grow quickly and properly to save his sister.
On the fourth day she was introduce to her attendant, given a tour of the sect, and then taken to her living quarters.
After a couple of more days she got to see a different side of Felix and Adrian as they were extremely kind to her and explained a lot things to her.
Felix told her that his bloodline couldn't have children unless they found someone that were compatible and fated them, which could be only be in person in the world. He also explained that it was because his family which were the leaders of the second since its founding used a Supreme covenant, to permanently raised their compatibility and bolster their efficiency in the use of the Empyrean Sun technique. This was why he had to have her he said.
She thought "No wonder their family maintain supremacy of the sect."
They told her she was a member of the sect now, but was only allow to do certain things that kept her from interacting with members of the sect, so only the higher ups and a few others knew of her.
She was learning a lot and was provided with many resources.
She learned that whatever Felix was planning was connected to her comprehending their famous technique because when he told her why he wanted her to learn and practice it, she saw that his was lying through his strings of emotions that she could see.
He said it was for a major tournament she will participate in with the sect which was four years from the day he mention it.
She grew closer to her attendant, and even began to empathize with Felix and understand him more as she suppressed the memories and true feelings of him and what he did to her family.
It created some kind of division within her, it was like her physique forced her to create two different versions of herself to maintain its integrity. The her with all of the negative emotions and memories was buried under the persona she wore now, but she understood that the "main her", the real her, will still play a major role in her growth in everywhere. She will exact revenge when it's time.
....
Meanwhile, back in Valen's home, there was a lot of confusion going on.
