Chapter 623: Acquiring the Origin of Water
"No!" said the Domain Lord, his eyes shimmering with a strange light, "Lord Chu is still a Domain Lord, but he has grasped the pattern of the Main Laws' operation in the Heavenly Abyss, therefore, the Main Laws cannot hurt him."
It wasn't that they couldn't hurt him; rather, they had not even hit him at all. How could they possibly hurt him then?
"Is there also a pattern to that?" the Juniors were all shocked; they only saw the Main Laws swirling densely without the slightest flaw. Where was the pattern to be found in that?
"There is, there is. You can't see it because your strength is not enough!" the elder Domain Lord said.
"Elder, can you see the pattern?" a Junior bravely asked.
After pondering for a moment, the elder Domain Lord shook his head with a wry smile and said, "There are at least several quadrillion variations. If I were to calculate them, I would need tens of thousands of years at least."
—He had understated it by an order of magnitude; even if multiplied by a hundred million times, his lifespan simply would not be sufficient.
"But Lord Chu arrived only a dozen or so years before us," exclaimed a Junior.
"Yes, therefore Lord Chu is the strongest genius of our realm, capable of killing a Realm Master while as a Domain Lord, monstrously unimaginable," sincerely said the elder Domain Lord. It was precisely because he had discerned a fraction of the Heavenly Abyss's pattern that he held Chu Hao in even greater awe.
This member of the Human Race was truly a great talent that emerged only once in hundreds of millions of years!
Chu Hao appeared to be strolling leisurely, but each step he took was the result of meticulous calculation, and even the slightest deviation could result in his complete annihilation.
He was not only moving forward but also retreating, which is why his progress was slow.
Below, the elder Domain Lord and several Juniors watched tensely. They did not know what treasures might be in the Abyss, or even if there were any, but they were also curious, very keen on catching a glimpse.
One day, two days, three days—Chu Hao's pace was not fast, but he was steadily advancing, continuously delving deeper into the depths of the Heavenly Abyss.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, more Domain Lords arrived. Seeing the Heavenly Abyss, they were naturally profoundly shocked. The Main Laws, indeed, in the face of such forces of heaven and earth, the stronger one was, the more one felt one's own insignificance.
"What, Lord Chu actually entered the Heavenly Abyss?" Upon hearing from the elder Domain Lord that Chu Hao had entered the abyss, the faces of the others changed colors. It was too dangerous in there, where even a Great Emperor might be annihilated; Chu Hao actually ventured in alone, what a risk.
Some people were schadenfreude; they didn't want to see a supremely powerful figure emerge in the Great Sorrow Realm. Then everyone would have no choice but to submit beneath Chu Hao's feet. However, if Chu Hao died here, the Great Sorrow Realm would revert to its previous state, with the Domain Lords contesting for supremacy.
Under the seal of the Main Laws, no one could see Chu Hao's trace anymore, whether he was alive or dead, they did not know.
"Let's wait and see. If there's still no movement after one month, we will leave."
"What a grand opportunity right in front of our eyes, yet we can only watch; truly unwilling!"
"What can we do, who can contend with the Main Laws?"
"This seat is unwilling, this seat wants to deduce the pattern and go in to see!" said the crowd. Some people's legs turned to jelly just at the sight of the Main Laws' blockade, ready to leave after watching the excitement. Yet some were full of ambition, believing that beneath the blockade of the Main Laws, there must be a supreme treasure in the Abyss, and to possess it... would undoubtedly bring unimaginably great benefits.
Possibly, one could soar directly to the status of Realm Master.
"Pfft!" However, within a few days, those Domain Lords who had begun their calculations were all vomiting blood, looking extremely distressed and suffering as if they had been spiritually injured.
It was too hard; the sheer number of variations was overwhelming their minds, as if they had sustained an injury to their Tao.
They all stood up; such an opportunity was not something they could attain. Only a powerful being at the Realm Master level could even contemplate it.
Now, they were just waiting to see if Chu Hao could emerge alive, and if he could, they still wanted to know what kind of treasure was hidden within the Heavenly Abyss, whether it was indeed the Origin of Water.
Chu Hao paused with every step, his mind as clear as the void, with only the endless Laws operating within. He was completely immersed, even forgetting about the danger, forgetting that his initial purpose was to obtain the Origin of Water. Instead, he simply reveled in these patterns.
In his past life, he was already a genius in calculation; now, in this life, his physique and Divine Sense had been infinitely enhanced, allowing him to support such computations.
This made him feel very intrigued, experiencing an indescribable joy.
To exert one's abilities to the utmost, exhilarating to the core.
Not knowing how much time had passed, he suddenly realized that there were no more flows of the Main Laws; he had reached the end of the Heavenly Abyss.
In front of him was an emptiness, darker than darkness itself. However, within this vast darkness, a sky-blue crystal was floating, palm-sized, emitting an intoxicating light.
The Origin of Water!
Chu Hao couldn't help but walk over to it, but despite appearing very close, every step Chu Hao took seemed like he was marching in place, not getting any closer. He kept running, but never felt any change in distance.
He activated the Three Phases Technique, then unfurled the Wings of Space, attempting to break free from this constraint, yet it was still to no avail; the three 'selves' were all marching on the spot.
Chu Hao didn't believe it; had he come all this way only to let go now?
He ran on, tireless, his confidence unshakable, determined to reach the Origin of Water, to obtain this most precious supreme treasure between heaven and earth.
Run, run, run; Chu Hao had only one thought, nothing could shake his determination.
Years, decades, centuries, millennia, and then tens of millennia passed. He had lost all concept of time, continually sprinting toward his singular goal. There had been a moment when he considered giving up, but that thought vanished as swiftly as it had appeared in his mind.
Once he set a goal, he was the kind of person to see it through to the end.
Who knows how many tens of millennia had passed when he became frail, his vital energy depleted and at the end of his lifespan. His steps grew more laborious until, finally, he lost all his strength and floated in the void, waiting silently for death to claim him.
But just then, the scene before his eyes transformed suddenly. He stood in the void, and ahead of him was the blue Origin of Water, but his body was in its most vigorous condition.
"Just as I thought!" A smile crept onto Chu Hao's lips as he realized it was all an illusion. He tried to use the Three Phases Technique, but it wouldn't activate, indicating that not even a day had passed.
Without realizing, his mind had wandered.
Could this be the final test?
Chu Hao took another step forward, steady and sure.
As he suspected.
He strode on, quickly reaching the blue crystal.
When Chu Hao reached out, the crystal vanished the instant his fingertips touched it.
But in the next instant, it appeared inside him, still out of reach, as if a separate space had been carved within his body.
The space trembled with a thunderous rumble. The Main Laws that sealed off the area began to shatter and disappear. Then, a wave emanated from the Heavenly Abyss, enveloping the entire secret realm.
The glaciers shattered and vanished, the seas collapsed and were no more, and those immensely powerful Law monsters? They too crumbled into nothingness.
It was as if the disappearance of the blue crystal robbed the entire secret realm of its purpose.
Boom!
The sound of a massive explosion echoed as the entire Sun imploded, flinging infinite flames in all directions. The Skyships that had been stationary around it were caught in the blast, instantly reduced to ash by the impact of the Third Tier Laws.
Those within the secret realm were unharmed, however, as the explosion was an implosion from within the hollow sun, sparing them from the blast's reach.
Chu Hao scanned the starry sky to see many people appearing, all Martial Artists who had been inside the secret realm, now cast outward. As for those who had been outside, sorry, who could possibly survive the onslaught of the Third Tier Laws?
"Let's go!" With a wave of his hand, Chu Hao formed a hundred Star Force Giant Hands and scooped up Lan Ran and the others. He unfurled the Wings of Space and took flight. With just a couple of flaps, he landed on a large star and set everyone down.
"Greetings, Lord Chu!" Lan Ran and the rest all prostrated themselves, none daring to be presumptuous, even if they had ties with Chu Hao.
Chu Hao was just too strong, strong enough to kill a Realm Master. Who would dare call him a brother?
Chu Hao raised his hand, "All of you, rise. Use the Teleportation Array to return. I have other matters to attend to."
"Yes!" No one dared oppose him.
Chu Hao spread the Wings of Space and flew towards the Guangyuan Continent.
He had been away for over a hundred years. Although he had communicated with Su Wanyue and the others via the Communication Stone during that time, how could that replace the yearning? His heart was racing to return, longing for his two wives and worried about his two sons and friends.
His speed was incredible as he traveled with the Wings of Space.
Now possessing the Third Tier Space Law, he was faster than most Realm Masters, even faster than using a Teleportation Array, as most arrays were for short distances, spanning a single Galaxy was considered good. But Chu Hao needed to cross hundreds of Star Domains, and the time spent just switching arrays would take months.
In only ten days, he arrived at the Red Water Galaxy.
He didn't disturb the Red River Star King but directly landed on the Guangyuan Continent above.
More than a hundred years had brought great changes, especially among the Human Race. It had been nearly impossible to see them in cities before, but now they were everywhere, due to Chu Hao's strength that had enabled the Human Race to rise.
Certainly, the emergence of powerhouses like Yue Wu Jian had also boosted the status of the Human Race.
Chu Hao strolled along, seemingly unhurried, but in just a few steps, he arrived under the Human Race's main city. Not wasting time, he went straight to his home.
"Chu Hao!"
"You jerk!"
Su Wanyue and Gu Qingcheng cried out in delight upon seeing him, throwing themselves at him. They had known he was coming and were prepared, but the joy and excitement were indescribable when they actually saw him.
Chu Hao tightly hugged both women, equally overwhelmed with emotion, and could not resist kissing each passionately, leaving them weak-kneed and dragging him into the bedroom. This made Yun Cai envious and Xiaocao's fingers twitched, fueling her murderous impulses.
