Eternal Heavenly Emperor

Chapter 610: Mysterious Nether Fish

A white column was rapidly approaching from afar. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a water column, about thirty feet in diameter and reaching a height of a hundred feet, which was quite astonishing.

The place was eerie, so everyone was cautious, not daring to recklessly intercept it. They all dodged aside to avoid the water column.

"Eh, it looks like there's a fierce battle going on over there," Feng Qian pointed and said.

"Shall we take a look?" Tai Ruofeng asked.

All eyes turned to Chu Hao, clearly looking to him to make the decision.

Chu Hao nodded and said, "Let's go take a look, but don't get too close. First, let's see who is fighting."

"Mhm!" Everyone nodded in agreement and headed towards the place from where the water column had come.

Flying ahead for a distance, they could indeed see that a fierce battle was taking place in the ocean. One side was a giant fish, tens of thousands of feet long and pitch-black, with two bone spurs of the same length, intertwined with astonishing Divine Patterns, like a dancing Sky Spear with frightful lethality.

The other side had more people, all in humanoid shapes, including tiger-headed people, ox-headed people, and people with wings. There were at least a hundred of them, and their strength was staggeringly powerful; the Divine Light they emitted was felt from a hundred miles away, pressing down with its astonishing force.

"Domain Lords!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise, recognizing that the Divine Patterns were woven from Third Tier Laws.

This was a battle at the level of Domain Lords. Among the hundred or so people, at least ten were of this rank. However, the rest were merely bystanders, attacking with no real effect.

Conversely, the black giant fish was terrifying, able to withstand the assaults of over ten Domain Lords without defeat.

That was normal; although Domain Lords were divided into Tenth Tiers, even a slight difference in the Power of Laws could result in a huge disparity in strength, not to mention mastering three thousand Laws, which naturally widened the gap even more.

"Eh, could that be a Mysterious Nether Fish?" someone exclaimed in surprise.

"What's a Mysterious Nether Fish?"

"It's condensed from the Water Series Laws of the world, not a real living being," the person explained. "However, the fish can form Heavenly True Water, which has endless benefits if consumed by Martial Artists."

"No wonder these Domain Lords are taking action. It's not because they were attacked by the Mysterious Nether Fish, but because they want the Heavenly True Water from the fish!"

"By consuming Heavenly True Water, Martial Artists can merge with the Tao and comprehend Laws at an astonishing speed. It's one of the most powerful divine objects in the world. Otherwise, why would these Domain Lords bother to make a move!"

"Sigh, we can only watch," someone lamented.

Despite the ten-plus Domain Lords besieging the Mysterious Nether Fish, they couldn't gain the upper hand. That creature was purely a condensation of Water Series Laws, representing Third Tier Water Series Laws. As the bone spurs danced, the Might of the Laws soared, and the ten-plus Domain Lords did not dare to face it head-on.

After watching for a while, Chu Hao shook his head and said, "They won't be able to defeat this giant fish."

"Kid, what nonsense are you spouting?" Chu Hao's words were overheard by one of the bystanders from the other side, who immediately shot over and glared at Chu Hao with hostility. "Who the hell are you to speak here?"

Chu Hao's expression turned cold as he said, "And who the hell are you to speak in front of me?"

This was just a War God, after all.

"You dare to insult me?" The other was taken aback, then suddenly burst into laughter. "Hahaha, this is the first time someone has dared to curse me to my face in my life. Kid, you are definitely dead today!"

Chu Hao turned back and smiled at the others, saying, "Have you ever seen such an idiot?"

"We are from the Ancient Academy!" Feng Qian, a prudent man, immediately revealed their identity. "We're just passing by, there's no need for conflict."

"Ancient Academy? Is the Ancient Academy that great?" The man's face suddenly changed, and he became highly agitated. "The people I hate the most are from the Ancient Academy, no real skills, all they do is boast."

Chu Hao looked at the man with a strange expression and said, "You're not someone who wanted to get into the Ancient Academy and failed, are you?"

The man immediately turned red with rage and said, "Do I care about the Ancient Academy? You must be joking. Even if that trash academy invited me, I wouldn't want to go. They're all about gaining glory through deceit, completely fooling people."

Chu Hao and the others exchanged glances. It was clear. This guy really wanted to enter the Ancient Academy but was utterly unqualified.

"You… you all deserve to die!" The man was furiously enraged. He had wanted to enter the Ancient Academy but was rejected, which had become his sore point. Now that his wound was exposed in public, he was near madness.

"A mere War God should just stay out of the way," Chu Hao waved a palm, sending the man back to his crowd. Out of respect for the few Domain Lords present, he didn't make it hard for him.

Just then, the Mysterious Nether Fish performed a Dragon Tail Swing. Its massive tail swept across, stirring up a terrible wind, with countless droplets flying about, each wrapped in Third Tier Laws, naturally terrifying in their lethality.

"Dodge!" Chu Hao uttered sharply, spreading his arms to encircle his companions, as the Wings of Space unfurled. With just one flap, they flew hundreds of miles away, escaping the range of the water droplets' attack.

But the others weren't so lucky. Although they were protected by a few Domain Lords, there were always gaps, and soon several War Gods and Star Masters were blasted into nothingness.

Under the crushing pressure of Third Tier Laws, the Star Masters didn't even have a chance to reform their bodies, and the War Gods fared even worse.

The Mysterious Nether Fish seized the opportunity to dive towards the seabed. Despite its length of tens of thousands of feet, its speed was inconceivably fast, disappearing in an instant.

A group of Domain Lords were both angry and frustrated. They had been battling here for over ten days, hoping to obtain the Heavenly True Water, but unexpectedly, not only did they fail to acquire it, they also lost several of their younger generation.

"Ancestor!" The young man that Chu Hao had thrown back earlier immediately called out and flashed to the front of an old man, babbling something to him, likely tattling.

Chu Hao frowned, sensing trouble was coming.

The old man quickly looked over. He was tall and thin with his black hair coiled up, his forehead full of wrinkles, dressed in a green robe, and had small eyes that were filled with a fierce glare, clearly not an easy-going person.

With a single step, he appeared directly in front of everyone. The Domain Lord's aura surged, causing everyone to break out in cold sweat as if their bodies were about to burst.

"Senior!" Everyone cried out in alarm— if a Domain Lord decided to take action against them, they were doomed.

Chu Hao also didn't dare to be careless. If the old man truly dared to make a move, he would immediately initiate his tribulation.

"You all kneel down and apologize to my grandson. And you," the old man pointed at Chu Hao, "slap yourself a hundred times. Considering your affiliation with the Ancient Academy, this lord will not be unduly harsh."

How domineering, to be forced to kneel and beg for mercy, self-punish with slaps?

"Huh!" Another Domain Lord stepped forward, wearing a blood-red robe, radiating a boiling killing intent, clearly a fierce character. He stared at Chu Hao and said, "Are you Chu Hao?"

Chu Hao gave him an extra glance and replied, "That's right, any advice?"

"Hahahaha!" The Domain Lord laughed out loud, "I was about to come looking for you, but here you are delivering yourself to me! I am Xueyang!"

"Hmm?" Chu Hao raised an eyebrow.

"Eight Cloud, Hundred Dragons, Seven Mist, they were all my junior brothers!" Domain Master Xueyang said grimly.

Chu Hao suddenly realized that this was Star King Xueyang, the Thousand Flowers Domain Master's senior disciple— previously a Star King, who had now advanced to a Domain Lord! No wonder he was so filled with killing intent; Chu Hao indeed harbored a deep grudge against the Thousand Flowers lineage.

"My condolences," he said insincerely.

"How dare you!" Domain Master Xueyang was enraged and raised his hand to strike at Chu Hao, but as soon as his hand lifted, Chu Hao used Spatial Teleportation and appeared hundreds of miles away.

"Eh?" "Hmm?" "Ah?"

Several Domain Lords were surprised; naturally, they wouldn't take just any Star Master seriously, but this Star Master had managed to dodge an attack from a Domain Lord, and even if it was a casual strike, it was still remarkable.

"He must have mastered the Space Law."

"Indeed, only by mastering Teleportation could he evade an attack from a Domain Lord."

"Moreover, it must be at least of the Fourth Tier in Space Law, or it would still be insufficient!"

The problem was, Chu Hao was clearly just a Star Master, so how could he possibly use Level Four Laws?

"This member of the Human Race, there's something odd about him!" More than a dozen Domain Lords set their sights on Chu Hao. Being able to use Level Four Laws as a Star Master went against the conventions of martial arts and also sparked their curiosity.

"Seniors, we are disciples of the Ancient Academy!" Lan Ran called out loudly, but a tremor was present in her voice.

Domain Lords, oh, so powerful, even the Ancient Academy only had a few Domain Lords in residence.

"Hehe, young lady, are you trying to use the Ancient Academy to intimidate us?" one Domain Lord laughed, "Although there are a few High Tier Domain Lords in the Ancient Academy, and it's true that we have only recently stepped into the Domain Lord Realm, we are not so easily scared."

"We wouldn't dare!" Lan Ran mustered her courage, "We were just passing by, so please allow us juniors to proceed."

"Who is stopping you?" Domain Master Xueyang smirked. Before Lan Ran and the others could feel relieved, he added, "However, we will be keeping this Human."

"Indeed, we must keep this Human!" The other Domain Lords nodded in agreement—they were quite interested in Chu Hao. Clearly just a Star Master, how could he apply Level Four Laws?

"Senior—" Lan Ran and the others exclaimed.

But Chu Hao waved his hand and said, "You go ahead. Your presence here would only hinder me."

Lan Ran and the others knew that Chu Hao wanted to get them out of the way, but what use was it for them to stay? Could they possibly expect the Domain Lords to restrain themselves? Therefore, after a moment's hesitation, they went ahead. Chu Hao was right; without them there, Chu Hao could move freely without any restraint.

Chu Hao looked towards the dozen or so Domain Lords, smiled, and said, "Gentlemen, do we really have to meet in battle and come to blows?" (To be continued.
