Chapter 61: Entering the Thief's Den
"Senior Brother Ouyang, are you leaving?" Luo Zixian said from behind Chu Hao.
Chu Hao turned around and saw the woman who had once been fierce, her face now flushed, her eyes filled with allure, clearly smitten!
This isn't good!
In this world, strength is revered; while handsome men are indeed popular among women, they pale in comparison to powerful strength! And here he was, naturally handsome, and now exhibiting strength far beyond his peers—winning a young girl's favor was not surprising.
In Luo Zixian's eyes, he was once a scoundrel who had stolen a glimpse of her femininity! But now, he had transformed into a beautiful encounter, possibly even fated by the heavens!
Chu Hao couldn't help but shiver internally; he was now entirely focused on martial arts and didn't want to be distracted! Besides, while Luo Zixian was pretty, she lacked the qualities that attracted him, and could not stir his heart.
...Let her believe he was Ouyang Qiang then!
Chu Hao immediately dismissed the idea of clarifying his identity, nodded and said, "The Seven Wolf Stockade should not exist!"
Such a commanding statement!
Luo Zixian's eyes sparkled instantly; which girl wouldn't dream of her lover being a great hero and a grand character? She suddenly said, "Can I come with you? I promise I won't hold you back!"
"Junior sister!" Jin Yudi called out jealously.
Chu Hao shook his head and said, "There are still many experts in the Seven Wolf Stockade; it's too dangerous!" He turned to the still endearing Flying Fire and said, "Little guy, let's go!"
Flying Fire immediately leaped up; it had just licked something and suffered for a while, but that was all past now. It nuzzled Chu Hao's leg with its little head, acting coquettish.
Chu Hao waved his hand and started walking.
Luo Zixian gazed after him dreamily for a while before suddenly awakening—she only knew Chu Hao's name but not where he was headed next! A rush of urgency filled her heart, and she wanted to chase after him to ask, but Chu Hao's figure had already vanished!
"Purple Rain City, Fluttering Wind Academy!" she suddenly recalled what Miao Pusong had previously mentioned, making up her mind on the spot!
--She would go to Purple Rain City to find Chu Hao! If they met again, she would surely melt his heart with her fiery passion!
Thinking of this, her pretty face blushed—not out of anger as before, but shyly, with a sweet happiness, as if her heart was about to leap out.
"Junior sister!" Jin Yudi elongated his tone, dripping with jealousy; though Chu Hao had left, he had taken Luo Zixian's soul with him!
Damn it! Damn that guy!
...
After leaving Blackwood Forest, Chu Hao headed directly to Seven Sons Mountain.
Seven Sons Mountain, located two hundred li west of Blackwood Forest, was not a large mountain. It comprised seven steep peaks, hence the name. This mountain had no ferocious beasts, nor did it harbor any valuable herbs, making it rarely frequented by people.
A perfect place to hide a den of thieves.
By evening that day, Chu Hao had reached Seven Sons Mountain.
But which peak was the second one? Count from the left to the right, or from right to left?
Chu Hao chided himself for not being meticulous earlier and not interrogating thoroughly. But then, Miao Pusong, who deserved death for his deeds, made him uninterested in wasting words.
Well, he might as well search slowly!
Chu Hao first arrived at the second peak on the left, searching thoroughly for the huge rock and withered tree mentioned by Miao Pusong. However, after several circles around the mid-mountain, he still could not find the intended landmarks.
Either it was on the second peak on the right, or Miao Pusong had deceived him!
Chu Hao then went to the second peak on the right. In just a while, he saw a boulder as large as a house with a withered tree beside it, equally robust, requiring at least ten people to embrace it. Now only a trunk remained, about six meters high.
A hole was indeed in the trunk, dark and foreboding.
Chu Hao was cautious; he didn't know if the people from the Seven Wolf Stockade had any special means of communication. Before entering, he had to knock a few times with a secret signal to confirm his identity; one must never be careless.
His power was great, but he was not invulnerable!
However, once he reached the Vajra Realm, the enhancement of his cells would peak, and his skin would be tough as iron, providing strong defense even against sneak attacks and traps.
The tree hole was large enough to easily admit him, and walking down the hollow trunk, after a few meters, he found himself facing a cave leading forward.
This cave must have been naturally formed but had been expanded by human hands to make it wider and taller, about two meters in height, allowing most people to move without stooping.
Chu Hao walked ahead, with Flying Fire closely following. In the dim environment, the little creature's eyes glowed faintly, like two small lamps.
As they walked, Chu Hao was aware that they were continuously moving diagonally downward. After about fifteen minutes, the passage gradually widened, and a light appeared ahead.
The exit!
He walked further, and the cave became large enough to accommodate a truck. He was almost at the exit.
"...I really don't understand why they keep us here on guard! This place is so hidden, outsiders can't find it! Instead of catching a chill here, I'd rather be warming up with a woman!"
"All you think about is women; you'll end up dying on one someday!"
"Hehe, then Lao Tzu would consider it worthwhile!"
Two bandits were on guard at the cave entrance, chattering loudly enough for him to hear from afar.
Chu Hao strode towards them but did not attempt to quiet his footsteps. The two, engrossed in their discussion about women, finally noticed him when he was about ten meters from the entrance.
"Who goes there?" one of the bandits asked.
"You won't get the chance to die on a woman's belly anymore!" Chu Hao said indifferently, thrusting with his sword.
Puh!
With his current strength, when he stabbed with his sword, the opponent was powerless to parry. A spray of blood shot up; the bandit's face was filled with disbelief as his eyes widened, but his legs softened, and he collapsed to the ground.
Another bandit was initially startled and then immediately turned to run, shouting as he did, "Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
Chu Hao didn't pursue but instead said to Flying Fire, "Guard this place. Kill anyone who comes out, no mercy!"
The little one had been with Chu Hao since birth and was extremely intelligent. It seemed to understand as it yelped, sitting at the entrance and taking up the role of the Gatekeeper.
Chu Hao nodded, then began to survey his surroundings.
This was a valley, very long and narrow with cliffs on both sides rising over three hundred meters—climbing them was an impossibility! Strategically, this location was easy to defend but hard to attack. Similarly, if the exit were blocked, it would become like trapping turtles in a jar.
There was a large cluster of wooden houses in the mountains, some three stories high, but most were only one story. Near the entrance were three flagpoles about ten meters high, each bearing a flag with seven wolves, fluttering briskly in the wind.
The bandit who had previously run away had entered the cluster of houses while shouting, and instantly, a large number of bandits ran out, some still half-dressed, but all armed.
"Just one kid?" Seeing only Chu Hao striding forward, many bandits started to laugh.
"Yo, a pretty boy!" One bandit with an effeminate voice, holding his finger like an orchid, called out, "Nobody fight me for him; this pretty boy's ass is mine!"
"Hahaha!" The bandits all laughed out loud, some egging him on, "Seven, go get him!"
The effeminate bandit, not afraid at all, questioned the combat power of a teenager under 20. He sauntered towards Chu Hao, saying, "Young man, hurry and take off your pants, let me see what you've got!"
Whoosh!
Chu Hao walked past, raised his long sword, then sheathed it again at incredible speed, so fast that most people didn't even see him draw. However, the effeminate bandit collapsed, and only then did a pool of fresh blood flow from his neck.
This time, the bandits became unsettled.
It appeared this young man did not wander in by mistake but came prepared!
Swish, swish, swish! They all raised their weapons and formed a large circle enclosing Chu Hao.
Chu Hao acted as if he hadn't noticed and kept walking forward relentlessly.
Driven by his movement, the circle of bandits could only keep retreating; no one dared to attack lightly—this was the style of Seven Wolf Stockade, move only after planning, never taking uncalculated risks.
But it was only a moment before someone could no longer hold back and swung a two-meter-long iron rod down at Chu Hao.
Chu Hao's left fist tightened, and he fiercely struck out.
Whoom!
His punch landed on the iron rod, making the whole rod tremble. The shock of the force caused the bandit's hand to split open, and his weapon fell from his hand. But it didn't end there as the powerful force continued to travel into his body, making his clothes shatter to pieces.
Snap! Snap! Snap!
Sounds of bone-crushing echoed; the bandit's body twisted weirdly as if clay being kneaded, and puff, puff, puff, several bones burst through the skin.
Snap!
Another dull thud as the bandit's eyeballs burst out, and his head titled, then he dropped to the ground, dead.
A one-hit kill!
Hiss!
The bandits were left as silent as cicadas in winter. How tremendous was that strength?
Chu Hao kept moving forward, and no one dared to attack again; the crowd retreated hastily.
"Snap! Snap! Snap!"
Applause rang out just as a middle-aged man leapt down from a three-story wooden house and thudded to the ground, shaking it as if he housed a monster within him.
"Stockade Leader!"
"Big Boss!"
The bandits cheered in unison, having regained their backbone and suddenly filled with confidence.
This was the head of Seven Wolf Stockade, but no one knew his name; there was only a sketch of him on the wanted list.
"Young man, you're pretty skilled!" praised the Stockade Leader, applauding. "However, you are still not worthy of wreaking havoc in our Seven Wolf Stockade."
"Stockade Leader, finish him and feed his heart and liver to the dogs!"
"Yes, avenge our fallen brothers!"
The bandits cried out.
"Young man, how did you find this place?" the Stockade Leader didn't attack immediately but asked instead.
This question seemed crucial to him!
The Seven Wolf Stockade wasn't a top power, but why had it always existed? Because they were extremely cautious and the location of their base remained unknown!
"A guy named Miao Pusong told me!" Chu Hao said offhandedly.
"The Second Boss!" The bandits gasped in unison.
