Eternal Heavenly Emperor

Chapter 138 Gu Clan

Chu Hao arrived at Feng Yezi's study and knocked on the door.

"In you come," came Feng Yezi's voice from inside.

Chu Hao pushed the door open and entered. He saw Feng Yezi sitting behind the desk, with Wang Hong standing deferentially to the side. The client was seated across from Feng Yezi, but Chu Hao could only see her back.

It was a woman, and from her hairstyle, it was clear she was very young.

She wore a long, lake-green dress. Because she was sitting, her figure was not apparent. All that could be seen was her head of silky hair, tied casually with a white silk ribbon, exuding a kind of indescribable, pure elegance.

"Little Friend Chu, come over here. I will introduce you," Feng Yezi beckoned.

Chu Hao walked to Feng Yezi's side and turned to look at the client. When he saw her breathtakingly beautiful face, he couldn't help but be startled. "It's you."

Su Wanyue.

No wonder the simple ribbon had given him such a feeling of otherworldly beauty; it was her.

Su Wanyue looked at him in mild surprise as well. In such a vast world, the chances of two strangers meeting were incredibly slim. Yet, they had met three times by chance, in the Lower World, Yunliu Sect, and now here.

It was truly fate.

"Uh, you two know each other?" Feng Yezi asked curiously.

Chu Hao smiled, "Not exactly. We've only met twice."

Feng Yezi's expression turned meaningful. Though he had never married, he had lived long enough to understand worldly matters. He chuckled, "It's good that you know each other."

Turning to Su Wanyue, he said, "Miss Su, this is the patient I mentioned. He's been poisoned by Ten Insect Powder. Do you have any Spiritual Medicine that could save him?"

"Which ten poisons are in the powder?" Su Wanyue asked.

"I don't know," Chu Hao shook his head.

Su Wanyue's willow brows furrowed slightly. She was exceptionally beautiful. After a moment, she said, "I can't completely cure you, but I have three 'Jade Toad Pills.' Take one each year; it will suppress the poison for three years."

Chu Hao thought to himself, Yunliu Sect usually ignored Martial Artist-level disciples from the Lower World, but upon reaching the Martial Sect level, one had to make a choice. They could either be subservient, serving a family like a dog, or venture into the Land of Yin Demons—both were practically a death sentence. If not, why wouldn't there be a single Martial Sect-level person from the Lower World in Yunliu Sect?

He could get an antidote to suppress Ten Insect Powder once a year, but he believed he would reach Martial Master Peak and break into Martial Sect next year. Yunliu Sect would certainly act against him then.

He had to leave Yunliu Sect before that. With three Jade Toad Pills, he had four years to solve his poison issue.

In four years, he aimed to become a War General, neutralize the poison within him, and then return to suppress Yunliu Sect and save the people of the Lower World.

It was extremely difficult.

Advancing through Martial Sect, Warrior, and War General in four years seemed almost impossible.

He could stay in Yunliu Sect a few more years, delaying the exposure of his cultivation level, giving him more time.

After all, breaking through Martial Sect wasn't easy. Even a genius like Cao Jingwen, one of the Four Talented of Tianhe, had been stuck for a year. Who knew how much longer he would take.

Overall, the three Jade Toad Pills gave Chu Hao an additional three years, which was invaluable.

"Thank you, Miss Su," Chu Hao said, accepting the bottle and putting it into his Mustard Seed Ring.

Feng Yezi's worries eased a bit. If Su Wanyue could produce three Jade Toad Pills now, she might be able to provide more in the future. Of course, provided Chu Hao could "win her over."

He coughed, "Old age is catching up with me. Just sitting here has tired me out. Old Wang, help me back to my room to rest."

Wang Hong knew well that his master was intentionally giving Chu Hao and Su Wanyue time alone together. He quickly helped Feng Yezi up, and the two slowly moved to the door, winking at Chu Hao to seize the opportunity.

Chu Hao couldn't help but sweat. These two elders were fierce as warriors but now played the feeble old men. Did they think Su Wanyue wouldn't see through them?

Creak, the two elders left and thoughtfully closed the door behind them.

Chu Hao looked at Su Wanyue, who gazed back with a faint smile.

"I never thought you would know how to forge tools," Su Wanyue was the first to speak.

"It was a chance opportunity. I initially meant to make some extra money and discovered I had some talent for it," Chu Hao replied with a smile.

"Your cultivation has progressed rapidly," Su Wanyue remarked, studying Chu Hao carefully, "Fourth Tier? Fifth Tier?"

"Late Fifth Tier," Chu Hao nodded.

This woman's perception was impressive. After reaching the martial master level, a Martial Artist would have Star Force flowing through their body. Strong individuals could judge others' cultivation levels by this accidental flow of Star Force, but they usually could only identify the general realm, not the exact stage.

"What is your cultivation level?" Chu Hao couldn't help but ask, intrigued by the gap between them.

After a brief hesitation, Su Wanyue said, "Sixth Tier War General."

War General.

Higher than Warrior.

No wonder she could move through Yunliu Sect unchallenged before. A War General could definitely walk unimpeded in Yunliu Sect.

In comparison, Cao Jingwen and Jin Yunlin, so-called Four Talented of Tianhe, couldn't even hold a candle to her.

Chu Hao smiled wryly, "We are about the same age, but I'm far behind you in cultivation."

"How do you know I haven't mastered youth preservation and actually been cultivating for over a hundred years?" Su Wanyue said with a smile.

"The first time I saw you, your chest—" Chu Hao was about to present evidence but stopped abruptly as he realized the impropriety.

Su Wanyue was clever and quickly understood, instinctively covering her chest with her hands.

The atmosphere turned awkward.

Chu Hao hastily cleared his throat, searching for another topic, "The Treasure Artifact you're crafting, could it be that it requires not a ferocious beast's inner core but the Heart of the Mountain Range?"

Su Wanyue was astonished. This guy's mind was really sharp to guess it right away. If not for this, he wouldn't have deduced her age from her chest size change.

Thinking of this, her face flushed slightly. She felt as if Chu Hao had glimpsed her privacy, making her uneasy. She wondered why, as a descendant of the Gu Clan and a young War General, a small Martial Master could affect her state of mind.

She shook her head to dispel the thought, "You needn't be discouraged. Your cultivation speed is not slow."

Three entire realms behind, yet that's considered fast?

Su Wanyue smiled faintly, "Do you know the power of a War God?"

"Destroying heaven and earth, omnipotent?" Chu Hao guessed, knowing this stunning beauty was the highest-level expert he'd met and had no idea about a War God's powers.

"Not that exaggerated," Su Wanyue laughed. "But a War God is incredibly powerful. A flick of their finger can reduce a mountain to dust. Several War Gods working together could shatter Sky Martial Star in a few days, that's true."

"Moreover, becoming a War God fundamentally changes one's bloodline. Their descendants inherit some abilities, varying in strength based on bloodline purity."

"Due to this change, the descendants of War Gods are called the Gu Clan."

"This is a unique group. Although some Gu Clans have declined over time, a single ancestor-blood awakening can cause a huge stir."

Chu Hao understood, "You are of the Gu Clan."

"The Su Family produced a War God ninety thousand years ago," Su Wanyue nodded. "But over time, our family declined and even lost the ancestral land," she said, looking sad.

"However, a War God's bloodline must be activated through the Ancestral Pool. I awakened my bloodline, crossing several realms in just two years. But now, I'll return to normal progress."

"In fact, the later the ancestor-blood awakening, the better. Although higher levels offer smaller cultivation boosts, giving the illusion of loss, it may break barriers, reaching heights otherwise impossible."

Chu Hao couldn't help but wonder why she was explaining so much to him.

Seeing his confusion, Su Wanyue said, "Perhaps, you possess War God's bloodline."

Chu Hao laughed, "Impossible, I come from the Lower World."

"The Lower World is also part of Sky Martial Star. And… it's not strange for the Gu Clan to decline over the years," Su Wanyue looked at Chu Hao, "Otherwise, how could you absorb Star Force in the Martial Disciple Realm?"

Chu Hao was surprised, thinking his extraordinary talent was due to being Gu Clan?

If so, many could absorb Star Force in the Martial Disciple Realm. How many War Gods had there been in history? Each could bless descendants, a considerable number.

"Not so many," Su Wanyue shook her head, "Only those with highly concentrated ancestral blood can do so."

Chu Hao scratched his head, "You're too smart. I haven't even spoken, yet you already know."

Su Wanyue smiled faintly, "I tell you this so that, if you ever return to the ancestral land, don't rush to the Ancestral Pool to awaken your blood. Wait until you face an insurmountable barrier."

"I understand," Chu Hao nodded. Whether he was Gu Clan or not, listening to her advice was no harm.

Actually, he was eighty percent convinced.

Because of his physique.

Body like a furnace, refining all energy. If he's a War God's descendant, that explains it easily.
