Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 2974: Influence

Bladedance asked around for a little longer before finally letting go of the people she had caught. Most of them hadn't even had a chance to come for Alex, so they got away with no wound on their body at all.

Only the woman that came for Alex first of all had both her arms cut off, but those could be healed with some healing pills.

The other beasts came, taking the humans away to be kept separately for now, before they decided how they would be dealt with.

Alex walked up to his master. "The Storm God was behind all of this? Did he know I had escaped?" he asked.

"Seems like it," Bladedance said. "They have apparently been searching ever since you left. But since we were essentially lost for so many years, they could never find you. Most of them came here years ago, but couldn't go anywhere and were forced right here. They've been waiting for a chance to return ever since."

Alex frowned. "How did he know I left? I got rid of his seal and everything."

Bladedance fell silent for a moment and shrugged. "I couldn't really tell you how exactly, but I know that the Half-gods have some ability to influence Heavens. That might be how."

"Ability to influence the Heaven?"

Alex was surprised to hear such a thing was even possible. "How can he do that? How do you get influence over the Heaven? Does it involve becoming a Celestial?"

Bladedance gave a deprecating laugh. "If it was so simple, I would've become one long ago," she said.

"Then how?"

Bladedance shook her head. "I cannot tell you," she said. She paused for a moment and added, "Well, I could tell you, but if I did, the Gods would be alerted that their truth had been made known to others. If that happened, you would be in trouble. You will have to ask one of the Half-gods themselves to get a safer answer."

Alex narrowed his eyes. What Half-god did he even know?

"Is the Sky God one?" he asked. He remembered hearing something along those lines a long time ago. If he wasn't mistaken, Rosemist had said something to that effect as well.

"She is," Bladedance said. "You should wait until you meet her. Until then, try not to bring up this topic to anyone else."

Alex nodded.

"Now then," Bladedance said. "What should we do with these?"

"What do you mean? What can we do?" Alex asked.

"I can't let them return with me," Bladedance said. "If they do, they will quickly find a way to let the Storm God know of your presence. We can't have that."

"What do we do then?" Alex asked.

Bladedance turned toward the humans. "Who among you has a ship that can travel through outer space?" she asked out loud.

The people looked at each other, one slowly raising his hand.

"I— I do," the Divinity said.

"How many people can fit in it?" Bladedance asked.

"About 20," the man said, slightly confused.

"Good," Bladedance said. "Bring it out, get everyone here on it, and leave."

"But, the telepor—"

"You're not going through the formation," Bladedance said without any attempt at hiding what she was doing. "If I take you, you will just report to the Storm God. If I don't, then you'll likely cause issues for my disciple. So, the only thing I will allow you to do is leave this world on that ship and never return again."

Bladedance's words carried a certain aura that caused each person to shut up with no further argument. Even though their hearts pained with protests, they couldn't let it surface in their voice.

"I will give you an hour to make preparations. Since all of you will have to go in one ship, I do not know how you will handle it, but it seems there is enough space, so make good use of it," Bladedance told them. "If not, I am happy to have the White Tigers here imprison you for… what's a good amount of time to imprison you lot? 200 years? 500 years? Maybe a millennium, just to be safe."

Not a single one of the Divinities wanted to wait around imprisoned for that long.

"We will go, your Majesty!" one of them shouted immediately. "Hey, bring out the ship."

"I have a ship too, if it's needed."

No further words were necessary. There were little things in life that were worse than being imprisoned for such a long time. They would rather spend a fraction of that time in space.

Alex and the rest watched from the sidelines as the Divinities gathered together and consulted each other on everything surrounding their sudden travel. They needed to allocate spirit stones to run the ship through space, to make each person there pay for their part.

Besides that, they also needed some navigational help with where they were going. They had rarely traveled in outer space, and never this far away, so they were at a loss on what to do.

Thankfully, they had the thought to ask others for help, and Bai Jingshen gave them some directions. He seemed to know where each world was currently.

The ship was brought out on the shore some time later and all the Divinities got onto it a few minutes later. Once everyone was on it, they greeted Bladedance one last time and left, flying out of this world.

Alex and the rest watched the ship leave from the side.

Bladedance stared as the ship disappeared into the sky and turned to look at Alex. "There's your deadline," she said. "It will take them no more than 3 decades to reach the nearest Immortal realm. Once they do, they will let the Storm God know where you are. If you don't want to get captured, hurry up and leave this place as soon as you can."

Alex stared at his master, realizing that she hadn't fixed his issue, only delayed it.

It was intentional at that too. So now, he had 3 more decades in this world before he left.
