Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Bai Jingshen imagined Alex would have to go to outer space to absorb the sun's aura. The many realms had an atmosphere that blocked most of what made Sun's aura dangerous to the regular being. But if he were to try and do so, the sun would quite immediately destroy his body before he even had a chance to start absorbing anything.

There was a reason why the sun was feared so much by even Divinities and Celestials.

"I don't have to go to space to get the sun's aura," Alex explained. "Do you happen to know what a Sunheart is?"

"A what?" Bai Jingshen asked.

"A Sunheart. Or a Yang core. It's something beasts of old times used to have. Apparently, if you place beasts in a region with intense Yang aura, they tend to develop it," Alex said. "I'll show you one later."

"I…" he frowned for a moment. "That does stir something in my mind, but I can't be sure where I heard it before. Is it on their chest?"

"Right around there. It's usually next to their heart, which is why I think it was called Sunheart back in Hell," Alex said.

"I see. I… I think there's a mural in the north wing that has something about it. I haven't been there in ages, so we would have to go confirm it later."

"A mural? I would love to see it when I get the time," Alex said.

"I would love to show it to you," Bai Jingshen said. "It's about time you learn something important very soon."

Alex narrowed his eyes, wondering what he meant by that. But Bai Jingshen changed the topic before he got a chance to ask anything.

"Okay, you want the sun's aura as one of your Creations. What else?"

Alex took a second to turn around. "Okay, another one I want is the Nine Yang Divine Tree."

"The Nine Yang Divine Tree?" Bai Jingshen asked with a confused look. He frowned slightly. "Isn't that tree mostly useless?"

"I wouldn't call it useless," Alex said. "And I never really planned to get the tree to make use of it for myself."

"Then why?" Bai Jingshen asked.

"Back in the sect I belong to, Blue Silk Sect of the Myriad Spirit Realm, I had an elder who was a tree turned into a human. She taught me something about why trees generally form Creations that are themselves. Apparently, if you do so, you get a chance to create a new tree that is yourself. That way, you save your species from extinction."

"The Nine Yang Divine Tree is one of a kind. As a result, if it were to be destroyed, and it could quite easily be, I want to save it," Alex said. "It once saved my life when I was nearly dead. So now, I want to return the favor."

Bai Jingshen remained silent for a while. "But still… it's just a tree. Would that not just be the same as wasting one of your Origins?" he asked.

"Maybe," Alex said. "But I talked to the Guardian Tiger's spirit back in Hell, and he told me that the Nine Yang Divine Tree was the second-best Creation I could ever think of making. So, maybe I'm not wasting my Origin."

Bai Jingshen's eyes narrowed. "The second best?" he asked. "That tree?"

"Yes," Alex said before pausing for a moment. "But he did call it a God tree. So maybe it's the descendant of a tree that used to exist in his era."

"That… would make a lot of sense. But still, the second best?" Bai Jingshen asked.

"Those words came right out of the mouth of a dead Primordial. So you will have to ask him why he thinks so," Alex said. "He gave me his corpse's arm to give to Pearl, but didn't give me one at all. It's almost like he expected me to use this tree and be okay with it. He considered this tree a better Creation than himself."

"Okay, now that is surprising," Bai Jingshen said. "I never would've expected such a thing to be true, but I have heard of this tree being from an old era. The Nine Yang Court is a very old organization that almost everyone who cares to know about this stuff knows about. There should be a reason why that is."

Alex nodded. "So it's a good Creation, is it not? I was going to make use of it anyway, but now there's an incentive on top of my wishing to pay back its favor."

Bai Jingshen nodded. "The Sun, and the Tree. What else?"

"A pill," Alex said. "There's a pill I can create that can accept any other type of pill's energy. I want to use it as a Creation so I can make any pill I want, whenever I want."

"A pill?" Bai Jingshen asked. "You want to turn an Origin into a pill?"

"Yes, but as I said, it accepts any and all other pills' aura. It's practically every pill I know in one," Alex said. "It's quite honestly one of the things I'm most proud of in regards to my Creations."

Bai Jingshen took a moment to think about it. "If it truly is all pills in one, then it is quite great," he said. "You know about alchemy more than I ever could, so if you think it's good, then it's good."

"It really is," Alex said. "The only issue is, as far as I can tell, the pill has no aura of its own. It is technically just an empty vessel waiting to be filled. I will need a way to extract aura out of it."

Bai Jingshen put his worries to rest. "There are plenty of techniques that can be used to turn something that has no apparent aura into one. I can get you one for that easily, so you don't have to worry about it."

Alex smiled. "Thank you. That would be great to have."

"Alright, so Godslayer, the Sun, the Tree, and the Pill. That makes 4 Creations," Bai Jingshen said with a thoughtful look. "What about the other four?"
