Chapter 1086: Vida's True Powers
Vida told them that the next camp was tomorrow and the location will be automatically inscribed on the card once the day starts.
Rudy raised his hand as though he was in a class. "I get it that the reason the location isn't revealed before is to avoid the annoyance. But what if someone who lives somewhere in India and the location is in… uhh… Jakarta? How would they manage to travel within a day?"
Vida simply smiled at Rudy's query and patted herself on the chest.
"Ah…" Rudy understood what she meant. And surprisingly, Kaguya too.
"You take them, right?" Kaguya asked to confirm.
"Yes. I would teleport them directly to the camp." Vida nodded.
"So there are high chances that we will meet tomorrow." Rudy muttered.
"Well, you can go there yourself if you can manage that."
"How will you find me? You don't know anything about me," Rudy asked with a curious look on his face. He wanted to know how Vida's teleportation skill worked.
Rudy's cultivation skill was based on marking the locations. He would teleport to where he had been before.
"I just have to think of you and I will appear right in front of you." Vida made a gesture with his hands and let out a 'poosh!' sound from her mouth.
"Like a ghost!" She added.
"Explain to me in detail."
According to Vida, her ability to teleport wasn't bound to anything. She could go anywhere in the world as long as she knew where she wanted to go. She could look at the picture and teleport there. She could think of a place and teleport there.
She could teleport to the people she wanted to meet as long as they both had exchanged words with each other, even if the person had traveled to the other side of the world to a place she had never seen or heard before.
Rudy lost his interest in Vida's ability after hearing that, but she didn't mention one thing, that was she didn't need a physical interaction. She could teleport to them after talking to them on a phone call.
Rudy had a question after hearing that.
"How is that your limitation? If you can do that over a phone call, then you should be able to do it even after watching a video or seeing a picture of them. Can you explain the logic behind the limitation of your power?"
If something existed, it either originated from Rudy or it was his before the existence. As long as Rudy could understand a phenomenon, even if it was a fake understanding, it would become real.
That was the power of the overload.
Vida looked into Rudy's eyes with absolute seriousness. As though she was about to reveal a big secret. But she simply shrugged her shoulders and responded, "I have no idea. Master taught me how to use my powers. I follow my master's order. I do what she tells me to do and stay away from what she forbids me from doing."
Rudy discussed important things with Vida and Kaguya, mostly listened to their conversation while occasionally giving her thoughts on the matter. Rudy did that so she wouldn't feel out of place and get bored.
Once they had talked things over, Vida and Kaguya patched up and forgave each other.
'Seriously, though. Girls fight over small stuff and remember it as if it was a living amendment. And then they bring up all the stuff at the worst time possible and incur another fight. It's good that most girls I know are understandable, but I can't say the same for others.
As for men… well, as a man myself, I am eligible to say that men would forgive most things unless it's any kind of betrayal.'
"We are leaving now." Kaguya turned to Vida and asked, "It's close to midnight. Are you closing?"
"Yes. I have an important job to do tomorrow, so I need to rest."
Vida organized some stuff and turned off the light of the rooms in the pack. She kept a dim light on and lit a candle for the essence.
After grabbing her stuff, Vida, Kaguya and Rudy left the store together.
"...!"
When they stepped out of the store, they saw the goons from earlier knocked out on the floor, and the muscular lady with the bat was smoking a cigarette.
Kaguya almost screamed, but Vida helped her calm down. As for Rudy, he was already aware of everything happening outside as soon as he woke up.
"You went overboard again, Suna." Vida playfully slapped the muscular lady's back.
"They were being extra annoying today for no reason." Suna glanced at Rudy. "Maybe because someone provoked them."
Rudy played dumb and uttered, "Oh my, this is a scary place. Let's get out of here as soon as possible." as they walked out of the underground facility.
"By the way, are you two up for dinner?" Vida suddenly asked out of nowhere. "I usually get my food packed, but it's a nice opportunity to dine in. What do you say?"
She glanced back and forth at Rudy and Kaguya with a wide smile and puppy eyes.
"It's getting late and I am in no mood to cook, so I will join you." Kaguya nodded.
Now, they both were waiting for Rudy's reply.
'To be honest, I don't really care. I had already told Jessica that I will be home late and eat out. I wouldn't mind eating with them but… my super libido might not let me eat in peace with two hot girls.'
"Don't worry, I will pay this time," Vida added.
"I would love to join you two, but I have something I have to do, so maybe I will catch you later. Perhaps, tomorrow."
After saying that, Rudy flew away.
Vida glanced at Kaguya to see her reaction and smiled after she caught her visibly upset.
"Do you like him?" she nudged as she asked.
"What?! No! I just met him today! What are you talking about?!" Kaguya hissed with a slightly flushed face.
"Hmm~"
'I wonder who that girl in his memory was. She was so into what she was doing. He may already have a girlfriend, which is why he didn't want to spend his night with two girls he had just met.'
Vida and Kaguya left the area and went to a nice restaurant to have dinner.
