Chapter 11: A Studying Paradox...
Hellooo, -it's Eri.
Here's a zippy recap; Last chapter, Eri asked her class's 'interesting teacher' Miss. Farah, for a chance. A chance to learn facts. -Lots of likely unknown facts.
She agreed to it all, and we... we relocated to another location.
| Afternoon ~ Mahou High - Courtyard benches...
Spiritedly, Miss. Farah said, ''Alright -kid. Start this questioning of yours. ((Excited chuckle))''
Quietly elated, Eri said with a nod, ''Uh... To start, please inform Eri. What are you having for lunch? I took note of that container you brought with you.''
With surprise, she replied, ''My lunch? What a interesting choice...'' [Revealed it w/right hand] ''Take a look.
On most occasions, I purposely bring meals with me that I can consume one-handedly, so that I have another hand free to-work-on-my-life's work.
-For a answer your question, today's lunch is a PBJ&PB. Peanut-butter--Jelly-and--Peanut----butter!'' Miss. Farah, said with a wickedly proud grin.
Merrily mystified, Eri asked, ''OOOooo...! Please explain. Why the alien mixture?''
Tellingly, Miss. Farah said, ''In my opinion, isn't it more puzzling that the sandwich norm is 'peanut butter on one side,' -instead-of--both??
So I'm made it in it's truest form. '' She stated, as she took a proud sideways crunchy bite.
''Eri never saw things in that light before.'' She stated, writing a 1000 silent words. ''Hmrm... Now answer this. Why of all the subjects, did you pick to teach social studies?''
Addled, Miss. Farah responded, ''Wowww~! Did not expect a question like-that-one. Hmrmr... ((Cracks up while reflecting...))''
''Listen up good.'' She prompted, as she stood up without realizing it. ''I choose a career-like--this, by reason of my goal to-research-all-the--unidentified-mysteries-of--this-mysterious----universe.
-And one of those greatest mysteries... -School-life and it's--students! Yes! -I was a teenager myself once in life before, but even I could not reach any sort of concrete breakthrough...regretfully.''
Slowly, Eri began giggling at her.
Distressedly, Miss. Farah asked herself, ''Wait! -When did I-stand??? -And why are you laughing?''
Sincerely, Eri said, ''Sorry~ That reason I didn't... didn't expect one bit.''
Clearing her throat, Miss. Farah directed, ''Now..... Now Miss. Eri. I want you to answer something--for me~!''
Eri uttered, ''-Ehh???''
Probingly, Miss. Farah asked, ''Answer me this. Why is it, --you're so transfixed on studying all of mankind's overgrown garden? Tell-me-why.''
Wonderstruck, she asked, ''Umrm... Eri is stumped... -What did you mean??''
Gently, Miss. Farah rephrased and said, ''Mankind's garden. -What I meant was all of human culture. Wasn't that obvious? -But besides the point, I--want-to--know. Why the interest-in-us?''
Contently, she replied, ''Hrrrmmm... It's simple. Eri interest in humans stems from her parents. Growing up, dad always shared with us his love for humans.
But more than that, -his special love for Japanese culture. -Comics, japanimation, goods, rules, and anime! And I think, you get the rest.'' She ended, with a warm smile.
Intrigued, Miss. Farah muttered, ''So the source of your actions.....is your parents Hnnngh??'' '\This begs more research..... \'
Peppily, Eri asked, ''There is another thing, Eri must ask. Why do you wear those strange, eerie, and out of place clothing? Are you on purpose trying... trying to ward off people away from you?''
Distempered, Miss. Farah retorted, ''Wh--what?! Hey! -Just what are you -aiming-to--say----about-my--clothing----style?!
-Are you trying to indicate, that I-am--scaring-everyone---off with my~sense of fashion...??'' She probed, as she felt dispirited.
