Chapter 6: chapter 5: Zeroth circle

Lucian,mid-sip, almost spat out his tea in shock. He coughed violently, barely managing to stop the liquid from dribbling down his chin. His piercing blue eyes widened in disbelief as he set the teacup down, shaking his head at his friend.

"Ronan, what in the world are you talking about?"

"Oh, come now! You can't tell me you don't see it—the way they bicker, the way they keep finding ways to tease each other. It's almost... charming."

He winked at Lucian. "If you ask me, it's just a matter of time before they grow out of the teasing and I see you and Valeria Nozvan on them"

Lucian hart wanted to say something but stopped midway.

" Haha, Don't think too much.. your son is more than qualified.. you did notice right already finished more then 40% of the Zeroth circle"

Lucian sighed, " I know. But I don't know why he's hiding that fact. His mother doesn't know that fact yet.. master Orion helped keep it a secret"

"I see.. no wonder. Well I think they will really look good togather" Ronan some sipping on the tea.

"I don't know that. But I hope they grow up well" Lucian spoke.

And the conversation topic changed and they started taking on the serious matters.

810th Year of Ecplipsis, Kairos Nozvan, Age 10

The air in Kairos' room was thick with concentration, a faint hum of energy filling the space. His crimson hair had grown longer, now brushing against his shoulders, but it was his sharp eyes—eyes that had seen too much for someone his age—that defined his face. He sat cross-legged on the floor, his breathing steady as he focused on the flow of mana within him. He was utilizing the breathing technique of nozvan.

"Nozvik vein circulation"

A technique that's like a flood of water surging forth every vein available in the human body. Beside recovering mana it widens the veins while making the body sturdier, like other techniques. But what made it different from other techniques is that the blood of nozvans! As the technique circulates the bloodline itself reacts increasing the heart speed causing the body to enter a hyper mode increasing sensory inputs of the body.

Kairos was utilizing just that. But today was special, he was going all out .He was on the verge of a breakthrough, a moment that had been building for years. The Zeroth Circle of mana, the very first step of the journey to become a Magus.

A sharp, burning sensation ignited in his chest. His whole body seized, his muscles tightening involuntarily as if they were being branded from the inside.

He gasped, his hands clenching into fists as he resisted the urge to break his concentration. He couldn't lose focus now. Not when he was so close. The burning sensation intensified, it was his third try now.

Despite being circulating mana from the moment he was born. It's still not enough his potential was just above average.

But then, it happened.

The circle stabilized, spinning faster and faster until it became a blur of light and energy within him. The pain subsided, replaced by a warm, almost soothing sensation. The air around him seemed to shift, growing heavier as the mana within him finally clicked into place. His whole body shuddered, and a pulse of energy radiated outward from his core, rippling through the room like a shockwave of white and blue.

Kairos' eyes flew open, glowing faintly with the same energy that now coursed through him. He could feel it—the Zeroth Circle, complete and fully integrated within his being.

He looked at his hands.. his hands trembled as his eyes became filled with a deep sense of emotions. He has done it. He has finally done it.

He has successfully created his Zeroth circle. The very thing that he failed to create because of his narrow veins.

The soft glow of mana still pulsed faintly around him, wrapping him in a gentle aura that had not existed moments before. Tears blurred his vision as the flood of emotions crashed into him—relief, pride, and the long-buried frustration from his past failures.

"239 tries..." he whispered to himself, the number echoing in his mind like a haunting reminder of his past life. The memories of his previous attempts—struggling, failing, and ultimately meeting a premature end—had always been a silent burden he carried alone. But this time, he had broken free from that chain. He had succeeded where he once failed.

A tear rolled down his cheek, Kairos wiped it away quickly, composing himself.

There was no time to dwell on the past now. His hands still tingled with the residual energy, his body feeling lighter, sharper, as if a new realm of possibility had opened before him.

Simultaneously...the experience of his past life and the current life started Margining even more.

And slowly something within his heart pulsed like a float and flowed out through his veins before his whole body slowly covered with red energy.

Kairos became serious and closed his eyes and let the energy flow throughout his body. As he did the energy intensified before slowly calming down.

Kairos took a deep breath and clinched his hand as red energy enveloped his whole hand like flickering flames.

At the age of 10,He completed his Zeroth circle and also the very day awakened his Aura.
