Endless World: The Rise of Leonard Lawson

Chapter 145: A Good Crime

After Leonard's question about desecrating the sacred garden, the elderly man puked up another mouthful of blood in anger.

"You're dead meat!" They roared with all their might.

"Wow, you're still so energetic." Leonard appeared to be impressed.

Even after taking a massive beating and coughing up a few liters of blood, the elderly man still had a lot of strength to exclaim loudly.

Now that was indeed impressive!

Impressive because it meant that he could continue without holding back.

"Mirelle, restrain him with your magic. I don't want another bastard to be able to flee." Leonard commanded, having referred to the previous assassin being able to escape unscathed.

Mirelle didn't even respond and acted right away. She knew this was her opportunity to redeem herself, albeit marginally. Still, it was better than nothing.

Moreover, she could discern that Leonard was starting to lose his composure.

This was a sight that she had never seen before.

And for some reason, she much preferred the old Leonard who always reacted in a calm composure despite unexpected situations occurring.

The current Leonard was frightening and almost detached from the world.

"The Master is terrifying when enraged…" Sophie's face turned slightly pale from the exposed pressure.

"I'm actually more relieved that the Master is expressing his rage," Sirena commented. "The more suppressed their emotion was, the greater the danger it would result."

"Agreed." Shirley nodded. They were all people who had suppressed their internal rage for a long time. They knew exactly how dangerous it could be if they didn't find a proper outlet to vent.

Truth be told, they had lured in some lustful men in the past and gave them a torturous ending.

It was all done in secret, and they never once regretted venting out their fury.

Moreover, they were never exposed because these men all gave excuses about exploring some dangerous ruins to seek fortunes. Needless to say, the excuses were something the trio forced them to utter if they desired their bodies.

"If violence isn't enough for the Master to vent… I'm prepared to use myself to relieve him." Shirley suddenly said, emphasizing that she was willing to sleep with Leonard. Throughout their interactions, she had a basic understanding of his character.

He claimed to be a bad guy. But all along, he was only ensuring his survival and never once treated them like slaves.

That was especially so when she realized he was the Crown Prince.

Which prince in the Aldros Empire didn't have slaves or treat others like pawns?

Maybe Leonard does have such types of people, but she didn't care. Shirley only knew that he treated her right, and she would return the favor in gratitude.

"You alone might not be enough. I can also assist with it." Sirena was willing to become Leonard's woman as well.

At the very least, he was handsome and decent in character.

"But I was the first to offer him services," Sophie muttered and felt aggrieved.

"Are you three seriously discussing servicing him in bed at this juncture?" Finally, their conversation had forced Mirelle to intervene. She wanted to ignore them initially, but their voice continued to increase as to who should serve Leonard first.

Just what were they thinking?

The Crown Prince was still engaged in a brutal bashing, and their mindset was wandering elsewhere.

"Shut up!" To Mirelle's surprise, though, Shirley's eyes turned cold as she scolded.

"If it weren't for your impulsive actions, would the assassin have a chance to cause the Master to have a breakdown?"

"The one who has the least right to speak is you. An innocent woman was sacrificed because you failed as a bodyguard." Sirena chimed in.

Sophie kept quiet, but her gaze and expression made it obvious that she agreed with her fellow sisters. They didn't survive for so long without any brain cells.

Instead, they were all witty and clever in their own right.

They merely kept it to themselves and put on a weak character to deceive the public. Otherwise, how were they supposed to get rid of the enemy by surprise?

Being coldly reprimanded by the three women, Mirelle's facial complexion turned pale. She had nothing to rebuke their claim because it was indeed a fact that her action was partially responsible for the current scene.

Caroline also didn't bother to intervene and assist her friend. This alone spoke volumes about the severity.

As for Claudia, she remained quiet like a mute. She was still contemplating whether her actions were right. Caroline's warning and reminder were like a sharp blade constantly piercing her heart.

'That Assassin should be Redflow.' Claudia thought to herself. Redflow was a platinum rank assassin in the Assassin Syndicate, with their reputation and record being a record in the organization.

Redflow was someone who always strikes when an opportunity arises. If there were none, then they would patiently wait for the right moment.

Rumors had it that Redflow never struck more than 3 times because their target always fell in between 1 and 3 attempts.

'I should probably inform the Crown Prince about this.' Claudia was also guilt-ridden over Irene's death. Her sacrifice and willingness to take a blow on behalf of someone reminded her deeply of the past.

Prior to encountering Mirelle and being pardoned by her fake hypocrisy, she was also saved by her best friend.

Her best friend took the lethal blow on her behalf, but they didn't hold any regret or resentment. Instead, they simply thanked her and said they should enjoy a bountiful meal in the next life.

Back then, she was also filled with wrath and wanted to vent.

Unfortunately, she was powerless and incapable of taking revenge.

As her gaze remained locked on Leonard, who was immersed in wrath, she could somewhat resonate with his raw emotion.

While everyone's attention started to return to Leonard's brutal bashing, the latter himself was glancing at the elderly man.

"This is the crime that you forgot, old man." Leonard smiled coldly. "Beating a fucking trash is a good crime, don't you think so?"
