Chapter 120: Desecration
After learning that these slaves most likely hailed from Slave Coop, Leonard asked Caroline whether she knew which coop was the biggest.
Unfortunately, Caroline had no idea.
"I've only learned of the term but never in-depth." She coolly explained. She had zero interest in learning more about these slave coops. All she cared about was her research and development.
"There's one near here, just a few streets away." Shirley pursed her lips and answered. She raised her finger and pointed in a particular direction.
Based on her body posture, Leonard reckoned that was probably where she was kept before being taken in as a female dancer.
"I know it's probably not a good memory, but do you mind leading the way?" Leonard asked softly.
"No problem, Master." Shirley hurriedly said and continued, "We are yours now."
Upon hearing her last remark, Leonard could only lament silently. The city of Velastra was truly getting more and more on his nerves.
Sometime later, Shirley proceeded to take the lead and show them the path to a Slave Coop.
To ensure her safety when being ahead, Mirelle was assigned to stay close by her.
As they approached closer to the direction of the Slave Coop, piles of dead bodies were scattered across the desolate streets.
"It appears that these slaves indeed came from there." Leonard's eyes narrowed. Given that the source was from the Slave Coop, it was only natural that those near the premises would be affected the most.
Most of these dead bodies all held some sort of whip by their waist, a clear sign that they were probably kept in charge to watch over the slaves.
To summarize, there was zero ounce of sympathy in their group regarding their death.
In fact, the Rosalia Troupe seemed to be enjoying the scene compared to the previous scenes, where they were somewhat dreading the situation.
"So even he has his days!" Sirenna suddenly snorted, losing her feminine charm as she flashed a disdainful gaze toward a corpse.
Even the usually timid yet sometimes bold Sophie nodded her head in agreement. She remembered this particular corpse very vividly as well.
While these two expressed their disgust with words, Shirley didn't bother to say anything. Instead, she used action to express her internal emotion.
She approached the corpse, raised her right foot, and kicked its dried abdomen repeatedly. Given that the corpse had its blood completely sucked out, the kick alone nearly caused the body to decompose into nothingness.
"This…" Startled, Mirelle's eyes widened. She didn't expect Shirley to have this kind of side to her.
Caroline feigned blindness and didn't even bother to spectate, whereas Claudia seemed to resonate well with the Rosalia Troupe. She didn't hold any disdain, but rather showed some sympathy for Shirley.
As for Leonard, he didn't plan to rush them to proceed ahead.
"You're free to desecrate on the corpses here to vent." He encouraged Sirena and Sophie to do the same.
This was a good opportunity for them to release their anger and stress.
Astonished, both Sirena and Sophie perked their ears up. They glanced at Leonard in bewilderment, almost as if they were asking if he meant it.
"Time is tight, but I can definitely afford to wait a little while. I don't wish to see you all regretting not being able to take some revenge on those who had treated you wrong in the past." Leonard calmly explained and found a wall to lean against.
His action clearly emphasized that he was willing to wait for them to finish venting.
Sirena and Sophie glanced at each other before nodding. They turned their attention to Leonard and said sincerely, "Thank you, Master!"
Shortly after saying so, they swiftly joined Shirley, who had paused her action to allow them to also desecrate the corpse alongside.
To be honest, Shirley anticipated being punished when she committed the action.
Even though she knew of the consequences, she still couldn't restrain herself when she recalled how this despicable scum tried to get on top of her and used threats repeatedly.
'Weren't you so great and mighty?' Shirley cursed silently, her expression revealing an intense, murderous look. 'I want to see how you're going to force me to serve you again! I bet you're regretting not being able to capture me, right?'
Her memory vividly recalled her narrow escape from this despicable bastard when she managed to catch Lord Wesley's attention and was sent away for training.
Had she failed to catch the latter's attention, then she would have been defiled for the next few days, and forced to the slum or killed with the pretext of contracting some diseases.
"No need to curse silently. You can shout with all your might. If anyone were to overhear you, I'll take responsibility. I do want to see who will dare to touch my property." Leonard suddenly exclaimed. By officially calling Shirly and the other two his property, he essentially meant they were under his protection from now on.
The term used might sound derogatory, but for the first time, the Rosalia Troupe seemed appreciative of the term used on them.
Yes, they were his property!
But at the very least, they didn't have to suffer any degrading actions from him.
Although it remained a fact that Sophie had indeed attempted the action, the initiative wasn't from Leonard. Instead, it was from her own initiative in hopes that her bonded sisters would have an easier life.
In the blink of an eye, the women began cursing wildly and expressing the deep hatred in their hearts.
"You deserved to die!" Shirley spotted another hateful corpse and cursed.
"Hmph, I want to see how you can use those whips on us!" Sirena gnashed her teeth and stomped at another corpse's face.
Sophie was even more violent as she completely thrashed another corpse nearby wantonly.
It appeared that she had been suppressing her emotions for a long time. Her wild and crazed actions made it clear that she had suffered heavily during her time in the Slave Coop.
'Slave Coops… whoever owns these coop. I can't wait to meet them personally.' Leonard spectated their actions with an indifferent expression.
