Emperor of Mankind (Naruto X Marvel )

Chapter 24: Chapter 24

Naruto woke abruptly, his instincts flaring as he found himself transported to one of Kaguya's dimensions—the barren desert realm scorched by an unrelenting sun. His eyes instinctively adjusted to the brightness, and he quickly scanned his surroundings. Despite the lack of life, one figure stood out in the otherwise desolate landscape.

Naruto focused on the man. "Who are you?" he asked, his tone firm but not aggressive, as he assessed the stranger.

The man was striking in appearance. He was tall, with a shaved head except for a long Mohawk-style ponytail reaching his lower back. His features were sharp—broad nose, prominent eye ridges devoid of brows, and large black eyes. A diamond-shaped mark adorned his chin, and a Roman numeral "Ⅳ" was tattooed under his left eye. His nails were painted black, and he wore multiple red earrings on both ears. His outfit was simple but distinctive: a black hooded cloak with maroon lining, dark Capri pants, sandals, and a dark collar.

What struck Naruto most wasn't the man's chakra level—it was average Jounin-level—but rather his immense life force. It dwarfed that of any human Naruto had encountered. The man's eight-pronged eyes, clearly a unique dōjutsu, added another layer of mystery.

"My name is Jigen, Lord Uzumaki," the man said, his voice calm and respectful. "I mean no harm, as I was just practicing my unique skills."

Naruto, sensing no malice, allowed himself to relax. "How did you end up here? Is it because of your eyes?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Jigen nodded. "Yes, my eyes allow me to teleport. I've always sensed a looming presence—a threat, perhaps—but recently, that feeling vanished. I decided to test my abilities, and they led me here."

Naruto scrutinized his words and posture for any sign of deception but found none. "I see. Well, you shouldn't wander around carelessly. This place is extremely dangerous, even for someone with your abilities. You should head back."

Jigen's expression was earnest. "I understand the risks, but I wish to explore this wide world openly. I've achieved everything I could back home—power, wealth, and fulfillment. Now, I want to experience the unknown. Please, Lord Uzumaki, may I explore this planet freely?"

Naruto extended his senses across the planet. Finding no immediate threats, he nodded. "Fine, but I'll check on you in a day. Don't do anything reckless."

Jigen's face lit up with gratitude. "Thank you very much, Lord Uzumaki. I will remember this favor."

Naruto gave him a final look, still sensing no danger from him. "No problem. Take care, and be cautious." With that, Naruto left, deciding to resume his interrupted sleep.

As he closed his eyes back in his resting spot, a part of him remained curious about Jigen. The man's life force and unique abilities weren't ordinary, and Naruto wondered what role he might play in the future.

Jigen's gaze hardened as he looked up at the sky, the words Naruto had spoken echoing in his mind. The man, who seemed harmless at first glance, was anything but. His true identity was far more sinister than anyone could imagine. Jigen wasn't just a man, he was Ishiki Ōtsutsuki, a being who had once been an almighty alien overlord but now found himself trapped in a weak, fragile human body—a consequence of being hunted and humiliated by Kaguya and the Sage of Six Paths.

For over a thousand years, Ishiki had been forced to live a life of fear, his every move watched by Zetsu, the living shadow that had kept him hidden. The weight of Zetsu's endless surveillance had reduced him to a mere shell of his former self. He had been powerless, forced to exist without his true strength, always wary of drawing attention to himself and risking the wrath of the one who had trapped him in this form.

But all of that had changed. Kaguya's return to her prison had removed the oppressive weight of the shadow. With her sealed once again, the restrictions that had bound him weakened, and now, for the first time in over a millennium, Ishiki could truly reclaim what had once been his.

He stood in the barren dimension, his eyes fixed on the moon hanging in the sky, an eerie presence looming with his prize locked within. A deep, twisted laugh bubbled up from his chest as he teleported toward it, his heart racing with anticipation. This moment was long overdue. He had lived like a mortal, been forced to endure the humiliation of weakness, and now, he was finally free to reclaim his power—and take vengeance on the one who had caused his downfall.

"I've waited so long for this…" Ishiki muttered to himself, his voice dripping with venom. "It's time, Kaguya. I was starting to believe I'd lost my mind, wondering if I had become human. After everything… After all the time I spent in this worthless form…" He clenched his fists, his rage bubbling up as he spoke the words aloud. "I was even afraid. Fear from a maggot that you created, but no more. You will pay for this. I will never forget the humiliation you forced upon me, and I will never forgive you for it."

With those words, his entire demeanor shifted. The calm, collected persona he had maintained over the centuries cracked, revealing the madness that had been simmering beneath. His eyes spun, the eight-pronged wheel of his dōjutsu activating, and the black diamond-shaped mark spread across his body, encompassing him entirely in its dark, otherworldly power. The markings flowed like ink over his skin, bleeding outward until they reached the moon itself.

The transformation was swift and violent. Ishiki's chakra swirled and shifted as he invoked one of his Ōtsutsuki abilities—one that allowed him to absorb another being and evolve further. His focus was clear: he would consume Kaguya's essence and use her powers to regain his full strength.

As he reached the celestial structure, he pressed his hands to the surface of the moon. His eyes gleamed with malice as he began the absorption process. He had hoped for the full power of Kaguya, the mother of chakra herself, but all he found was an empty husk—her chakra long since drained, leaving nothing but the remnants of her power. Still, even that was more than enough for Ishiki.

"It doesn't matter," he sneered, caressing the moon as if it were a living thing. "This is enough. This will make me whole again."

The husk, though devoid of Kaguya's essence, still held valuable abilities. The All-Killing Ash Bones, the Infinite Tsukuyomi, the Wood Release, Truth-Seeking Balls, and the Rinne-Sharingan—each of these powers, although diminished, would grant him an edge. But it wasn't just the powers of Kaguya that he was after. Zetsu's influence, though subtle, was also a crucial piece in the puzzle. The combination of these factors—Kaguya's weakened powers and the remnants of the living darkness—created a fruit of immense potential.

As Ishiki absorbed the chakra, his body swelled with power. His strength grew, enough to rival Shukaku's own, though in his eyes, it was but a small step toward his ultimate goal. The true power lay ahead, but for now, this boon was a welcome change. It was a long overdue reward after centuries of humiliation and weakness.

"I will devour all of you," Ishiki murmured, his eyes burning with intensity. "And when I do, I will make you suffer for eternity. You'll live as nothing more than a dog, a puppet of my will." The madness in his eyes was undeniable, and as he floated above the moon, his laughter rang through the desolate dimension.

For the first time in a long while, Ishiki felt like himself again—empowered, vindicated, and ready to set his plans in motion.

Ishiki's thoughts swirled in a storm of conflicting emotions as he hovered in the emptiness of space, contemplating the long road that had led him to this moment. The hollow remnants of Kaguya's presence, the powers she had once wielded, and the bitter taste of his past struggles consumed him as he stared at the barren landscape of the moon.

"Finally, I can return home," Ishiki muttered under his breath, his tone heavy with satisfaction and disdain. "It's been so long that I even miss seeing Momoshiki... How quaint. You really appreciate things after a series of difficulties..." His voice trailed off, tinged with a rare moment of vulnerability. Despite his outward confidence and terrifying power, the years of being trapped in a weak vessel had worn on him, and even someone as proud as Ishiki couldn't ignore the toll it had taken on him.

A shiver ran through his body as he acknowledged the truth—he had become vastly different from the rest of his kind. The endless struggles, the constraints of his human shell, and the unrelenting surveillance had forced him to adopt a mindset that was foreign to his race. His resentment toward Kaguya, the one responsible for his downfall, had festered over the millennia. But now, it was more than that. He had grown, not just in power but in understanding, something he would never have admitted to anyone, let alone himself.

"I've really been infected by humanity," he scoffed, the idea almost revolting to him. The thought of an Otsutsuki, a being of such grandiose origins, being influenced by the very species they deemed inferior, was enough to make Ishiki feel a deep sense of disgust. Yet, despite his words, the emotional scars of his long imprisonment gnawed at him. Humanity—he had come to see their value in a way that he never expected. Their creativity, their resilience, their very survival against insurmountable odds—it had made him appreciate them in a way no Otsutsuki ever should. And that realization was like a sickness eating at him.

"It's your fault, Kaguya, you filthy human lover," Ishiki spat, his voice laced with venom. His hatred for Kaguya was clear, but now it was tinged with something more. A bitterness that cut deeper than before. He couldn't fathom how Kaguya, once a fellow Otsutsuki, could have lowered herself to fall in love with a being so beneath their kind. To him, human beings were nothing more than cattle—weak, pathetic, and infinitely expendable. To form any attachment to them was beneath his dignity.

But even as the words left his mouth, Ishiki felt the weight of their implications. He had come to understand that Kaguya's relationship with the humans wasn't as simple as he once believed. Their emotions, their creativity, had swayed her. It wasn't just weakness; there was something more, something that, despite his revulsion, he had come to see as a strange form of strength.

"Humanity, such an insignificant species, but look at what you've done to me..." Ishiki's words faded as he sank deeper into his thoughts.

The bitterness continued to roll within him as he remembered the plans he had once held with Urashiki—the potential they had to completely erase the sufferings that had bound him to this miserable existence. He had been on the verge of regaining everything when Kaguya's actions had destroyed it all. But now, standing at the precipice of a new dawn, Ishiki found himself in an even more advantageous position.

"It would have been better if you had fallen in love with a Celestial. Forget about it," he muttered, dismissing his regrets. "Nothing will change by talking about it." His voice was resolute now, the fleeting moments of doubt vanishing. What mattered was the power he now held, the opportunity to take back what was his. And with the remnants of Kaguya's power within his grasp, he had a tool to right the wrongs of the past.

"I was about to erase all my sufferings with the help of Urashiki," Ishiki mused, his eyes narrowing with an almost savage satisfaction. "But you—oh, you've done such a wonderful job catering to this seedbed. All my losses, my humiliation, will be worth it now."
