Elven Domination: Reincarnated with a Cloning System

Chapter 87: A Class?

'Is she referring to the Elven queen and people stronger than her?' But the way she spoke made Arthur feel it was something else entirely.

Arthur knew thinking about this right now would not give him any answers, but there was one thing he was sure of: if he ever met her in the future, he would like to know more from her. First, he had to become strong, because he needed to become much stronger than he was right now if he ever wanted to meet her.

He learned about the seven paths of mana. There were quite a lot more elements than he had imagined. He also learned that people with many affinities were quite rare. If she referred to the current hero, the elf had five affinities—it would be more, but she had five.

'But the things she said about people who would transcend natural order could have even more.'

From what he knew about his talent, he knew those limitations of talent wouldn't apply to him as he had to make more clones and assimilate with the clones to get the affinities he desired. But for that, he had to make clones of talented people and people with different affinities.

'But the problem is there was no way for me to know the affinity of a person without actually making the clone.'

That was a big problem. If he had an ability like those novels which would let him see the information of others, it would have been quite easy for him, but he didn't feel discouraged as his Authority was too overpowered for him to complain about that.

Arthur continued reading the book with excitement as the information contained in this book was too precious. If possible, he would like to finish all three books before returning them to Fira.

The next thing he learned was that mana without intent was like a sword without guidance. She explained the difference between a normal flame and a flame with the intent to burn.

Arthur didn't quite get it at first as it was written, so without waiting any more time, he created a flame like he normally would and right after, he created another flame with the intent that the flame would burn whatever it touched.

But he hadn't expected there would be a drastic change, as fires are meant to burn. What was the difference when he created a flame thinking it would burn?

Arthur didn't quite see a difference. Both flames burned with an orange hue. He had already tested how strong his resistance to flames was. Without fear, he moved his hand closer to the first normal flame.

He felt the same warm, soothing sensation as before. Then he moved to the next flame. A hint of surprise formed in his amethyst eyes as it was the same warm, soothing sensation as before, but the warmness in the flame created with intent was much stronger than the previous one.

He felt fascinated by how magical that was. He created a flame with a mixture of red and orange like before, but this time he focused more when putting intent. He didn't stop even after the flame was created and put more intent into it.

But the thought behind the tiny flame was to burn. Before he focused much more when putting the intent, he felt the intent was stronger and the flame was burning brighter than before. Suddenly, the other two flames beside it got extinguished by themselves, which surprised him a bit.

Just as he touched the flame, a small smile appeared on his face feeling the increased heat of the flame. The flame was twice as strong as the normal flame. He realized her words completely now.

'Hmm, the stronger the intent I have, the stronger my magic will become.'

Arthur didn't stop there. Even while he wanted to practice much more with his intent, he knew for now he had to focus on everything inside the book. Afterward, his time would come to practice these things.

He didn't know if he would get the chance to read these books again. He even felt a bit surprised at how precious knowledge Fira had given to him like nothing, but he knew the only reason she might have given these books to him without much reluctance was because she thought his talent was worse than a grain of salt, too poor to comprehend the true meaning of the words contained here.

Otherwise, even if she was his friend, he doubted she would have given these books to him that easily.

He continued reading and then soon realized why she had given these treasure tomes so easily.

In the next few pages, she explained the importance of a class, and how higher-ranked classes could even change fate and transform the boundaries of inborn talent that shackled every being.

This alone made Arthur realize how important these class things might be. She explained that after the awakening of mana, which could be considered stage Zero of the Cultivation journey, it was the most important time for every cultivator.

Before entering the next realm, which was the very first realm—the Initiate realm—where a person would first obtain a class that could change their destiny.

Most average people didn't even know the Awakening rank was one of the stages of cultivation where one could change their destinies or so-called fate, but it wasn't as simple as that. Only people with talent, time, and resources could achieve this feat. Most wouldn't be aware that they had a tiny glimmer of hope to even change their fates, and this little knowledge could make an average person much stronger if he was just aware of these things.

Arthur paused for a second, realizing that the information he had gotten was far more important than he had thought, and it seemed average people wouldn't even be aware of this.

'The class that could change even destinies—is that what Fira wanted me to know about? But even with that, how could her mother say that people without talent, resources, and time could only achieve this feat?'

'I understood one thing: even without knowing these things, people with average talent could only do so much compared to their initial fate, but it still came down to the talent he spoke of in the end.'
