Once I became aware of the fact that she has no intention of stopping anytime soon, I opted for just straight bailing out.
Unfortunately, it seems that cosmic agents of order or balance, or whatever, are good at chasing, which means that I can't shake her off, no matter my pace.
Whenever I think I've managed to get away, she's right there again.

"Would you deem to sign now?" (V)

Okay, time to blink out of this.
With a single thought, I'm right at my home.

She can follow me teleporting?!

Should I be offended or glad that nothing worse comes from this?

If something were to happen to her because of this being, I wouldn't know what to do.
Yet astonishingly fast, Veo is right at her.

If you'd excuse me now, I still have to complete my assignment, but I'll adjust my emissions in a way that you won't be bothered." (V)

Then she directly faces me again.

At this, the surface of her fingers collapses a bit, and watery drops are sent flying.

So he leaves.
I know he doesn't intend to abandon me, but does trust me instead, while also avoiding being too pushy.
It's just a little sad that I can't really rely on him with this.
Also, I'll have to come up with a story later on.

"Hmm. Also, I notice faint traces of temporal manipulation. Well, that could be an issue, but I don't quite see an actual problem, so I guess it's fine." (V)

I don't know if I'm more terrified by the fact that she can tell that future me was here or that she doesn't seem to care in the slightest.

Even a part of the uncharted territory to make extra sure nobody's there.
Here I'll hopefully get time to gather my thoughts.

Instead of actually teleporting, I just let my body drop dead and form a functional one with the material at the top of this mountain.
Yep, this is a lot more remote.
This should work.

But then my perception spots something that fills me with dread.

From the river, at a speed that makes the water come apart, as if it were pulled through a jet engine, something closes in and stops short two meters in front of me.
I don't think I need to elaborate on the identity of that something.

"My, quite the distance. Nice trick to just pull out there. Oh, don't you worry, I slowed down at the populated areas. At most, some people got dunked. Yet, to get back to business: Could you sign, please?" (V)

How?
How could she spot me?
Do I have some kind of tracker on me?
But how would that have carried over just now, when I created a completely new body?!

A cut-off underground realm.
A cave with no connection anywhere, whatsoever.
I'll literally bunker down!

I again drop my body and manifest again within a freshly eviscerated cavity that has no connection to anywhere and is also on the other side of this world.
Which, given that "this world" has no known boundaries means a lot.
Here I may at least get a breather and think things through.

Yet suddenly, there's some weird kind of movement from the walls.
I have no idea how this is even possible, as my matter shouldn't let water through.
Yet it is there, leaking through, shifting, taking shape, and subsequently my new nemesis stands right there again.

"Huh, that was pretty far. Had to grab a bit deeper into my bag of tricks. But here I am! Anyway, would you sign please?" (V)

Some space I'll just create that won't have any possible connection to here.

This time, I don't even teleport to switch dimensions.
I just connect to it and displace my consciousness.
There's no possible trace to follow, no connection to find.
It's just absolutely empty space in the vast nothingness between dimensions.
You'd need to be able to travel dimensions, which she can, and be able to track me, beyond all reason, which she did...
But anyway, finding this place is like trying to find a coin that drifts through the solar system times infinity.
It's virtually impossible.

So let's just order my thoughts, breathe through, and...

"You didn't actually believe this would work, did you? Also, please sign." (V)

This didn't work!

I need to go somewhere else.
Some other dimension.
But she'd just follow me there and make it so that only I am bothered.
It's hopeless!

Suddenly, the whole tentacle erupts and splatters in all directions.
In its midst stands the same being that annoyed me all the time.

She's staring at me, possibly right into my soul.
Quickly, I notice that her eyes have started to shine.
A vibrant white dot in a vast blue center that causes several thousand ruptures in my brain when I try to analyze its true nature.
What happened to being weak?!

"You know, I get that you're annoyed, but you really shouldn't have done that." (V)
