Elder Scrolls True Daughter of Skyrim

Chapter 34: Bonds of Magic and Steel

The morning sun painted the sky in a palette of warm hues as we made our way to the Fighters' Guild. The bustling heart of the Imperial City was already active before dawn it seemed, its people eager to start the day's work, Amidst the lively atmosphere.

"Are you ready for this, Arnovia?" My eyes locked on the looming entrance of the Fighters' Guild.

"Of course," she replied, her voice steady. "I've needed to get more experience with things besides my bow."

As we entered the grand hall, It was more plain than what I had expected. I adjusted my illusion magic slightly, ensuring my pointed ears remained concealed beneath the guise of rounded ones.

The guildmaster, a robust Red Guard of a man with an air of authority, stepped forward to greet us. His gaze drifted over Arnovia, scrutinizing her from head to toe. Maybe he was assessing her potential. But I knew better than anyone how strong and capable she was, and I believed in her wholeheartedly. They were speaking for a bit even Gergs was standing off to the side giving her a thumbs up.

"Arnovia," commanded the guild master. "State your purpose and pledge your allegiance to the mission of the Fighters' Guild."

Arnovia stood tall, her chin raised high and looked the guildmaster directly in the eye. "I, Arnovia, come before you today to join the ranks of the Fighters' Guild. I pledge my unwavering dedication to protecting Cyrodiil and its people. My bow and blade are at the service of the guild, and I shall uphold its values with honor."

"Very well," the guildmaster said, nodding his approval. "May your actions reflect the principles of the Fighters' Guild and serve as an example for others to follow."

"Thank you, Guildmaster," Arnovia replied, her voice laced with excitement.

As the ceremony came to a close, I was proud of Arnovia. She was pushing herself to become better.

"Congratulations, Arnovia!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms around her. "I'm so proud of you!" As I kissed her quickly on the lips.

"Thanks, Ellehish," she replied, hugging me back tightly and blushing.

The guildmaster's voice rose above the hushed whispers of the gathered Fighters' Guild members, capturing our attention as he began his speech. "We live in times of turmoil and uncertainty," he said, his tone grave yet encouraging.

"Our world faces threats from within and without, and it is in these moments that unity and strength become our most vital weapons."

I glanced around the hall, taking in the faces of seasoned warriors and eager new recruits alike. They listened intently, their determination shining through even the most battle-hardened visages.

"Each of you has chosen to stand and fight for the protection of Cyrodiil and its people," the guildmaster continued. "Your skills, your dedication, your very lives are a testament to the power of working together, of forging bonds that will see us through this crisis."

As his words washed over me, I couldn't help but think of Arnovia, Ellehish, and Alawion our own little team, united by friendship and bound by a shared purpose. It was through our combined efforts that we would not only survive but thrive in this treacherous world.

"Remember," the guildmaster concluded, "we are stronger together than apart. Let that truth guide your actions, your choices, and your hearts." With those final words, he stepped back, allowing the weight of his message to settle over us.

"Alright, everyone!" barked an experienced fighter, clapping her hands together. "Time to put those words into action. New recruits, follow me for training!" Shouted the Amazoness.

Arnovia gave me a quick, excited grin before following the others to the training area. I watched her go, wishing I could be there with her, but knowing my place was at the Mage's Guild, Magic I would be a fool to ignore such an amazing power.

"Focus on your feet, keep your body balanced," instructed the experienced fighter as Arnovia and her fellow recruits lined up, weapons in hand. "Your stance is the foundation of your technique."

Arnovia adjusted her footing, gripping her bow tightly as she prepared to loose an arrow at the target. Her eyes narrowed.

"Remember," the instructor continued, "a well-aimed shot can be just as deadly as brute force. Precision and strategy are key."

As Arnovia released her arrow, it flew straight and true, finding its mark with a satisfying thwack.

She grinned, clearly proud of her skills, but there was no complacency in her expression. No, she was eager to learn more to become a better fighter, a better protector. She was cute when she was like this.

I wasn't going to slack off I'd learn more magic, and make sure I don't get left behind. Once I was strong enough I'd set off and look for my people. And figure out how to fix them.

As I returned to my studies at the Mage's Guild, I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of purpose. With a deep breath, I began weaving my lesser warden Spell, the air around me crackling with the energy of my magics as it faded a bit before stabilizing.

"Ellehish, maintain your focus," warned Master Irithil, a high-ranking elf known for his strict demeanor. "You must not let your mind wander."

"Of course, Master Irithil," I replied, doing my best to keep my voice steady. My hands moved in intricate patterns, shaping the spell as if molding clay. Sweat beaded on my brow, and I clenched my teeth, desperate to succeed. Spells weren't as easy to use as the games made it out to be, But then again no game creature would force their players to learn a complex system to use magic.

"Very well," Master Irithil said with a nod, moving on to the next mage. "Keep practicing." I was now wearing my mage's robe that was given to me once I joined. It wasn't pretty, but thankfully the store I had available had Schematics for clothing and weapons. Not that I could craft any of them just yet.

As I continued my magical exercises, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. Glancing around the room, I caught several of the older mages staring at me, their expressions a mix of curiosity and wariness. One of the high ranking half-elf even offered me a pitying glance before quickly averting her eyes.

"Is there something wrong with me?" I murmured under my breath, frustration mounting. My fingers twitched, and my spell sputtered out, leaving me feeling exposed and vulnerable.

"Your magic is quite potent, Ellehish, even the amount of magica you have is large considering your age," Alawion said softly, approaching me with a comforting smile. "It's only natural that others would take notice."

"Thank you, Alawion," I replied, forcing a small smile of my own. "But it's not just that... It feels like they're looking at me with...pity."

She furrowed her brow, concern etched on her face.

"Enough chatter!" barked Master Irithil, silencing our conversation. "You are here to hone your skills, not gossip like children."

"Apologies, Master Irithil,"  I murmured, bowing my head.

Returning to my practice, I did my best to ignore the unsettling looks from my fellow mages. What the fuck were these fuckers looking at me so much for?

I took a deep breath and began weaving another lesser ward spell. The air around me hummed with power, the familiar sensation of magic coursing through my veins.

"Ellehish, well done," Master Irithil said, nodding approvingly at my progress. "You have potential."

"Thank you, Master Irithil," I replied, guessing I won the old elven man's approval. Though the unsettling looks continued to annoy me, I refused to let them sour my experience at the Mage's Guild.

As I made my way through the labyrinthine corridors of the Mage's Guild, the murmur of hushed conversations seemed to follow me like a persistent shadow. The whispers flitted through the air, their voices soft but laden with skepticism and doubt.

"Can't believe she's so close with that human girl..." One of the Altmer Mages that was eyeing me. As I walked by ignoring him.

"Arnovia, was it? A fighter, no less..." A mage said in destain.

I gritted my teeth, suppressing the urge to sock one of them in the mouth. My bond with Arnovia wasn't something to be judged or ridiculed. Just cause they couldn't get a partner didn't mean they had to be a bunch of dicks.

"Ellehish," Alawion's lilting voice called out, pulling me from my turbulent thoughts. Her warm hand gently touched my arm, her concerned eyes searching mine. "You look troubled. What's bothering you?"

"Alawion..." I hesitated for a moment, as i didn't want to take my anger out on her, biting my lip. "It's just... I've been hearing all these whispers about my relationship with Arnovia. They think it's strange."

Alawion looked at me thoughtfully before leading me to a secluded corner, her fingers gently entwined with mine. Like a mother would with her daughter.

She leaned in close, a reassuring smile on her lips. "Ellehish, what you have with Arnovia is rare and precious. It's not something everyone can understand, and that's why they gossip. It's easier to judge than to accept what's unfamiliar."

I sighed as I smiled while looking into Alawion's eyes, she wasn't wrong and single people at least some of them just hated to hate. "Thank you, Alawion," I murmured, squeezing her hand in appreciation. "I needed to hear that."

"Never pay them any mind, Ellehish," she said firmly, cupping my cheek for a brief moment before pulling away. "Say after today let's continue your training in Green Lady magic."

As I watched Alawion disappear back into the guild's bustling hallways, what was the saying again, hate to see them leave but love to watch them go. I couldn't help but smirk.

Later that day

The sun dipped low in the sky, casting long shadows across the practice field as I continued to hone my magical abilities even if I didn't have many spells it didn't hurt to keep practicing. While using my frost spell.

"Ellehish," Alawion called out, her voice cutting through my thoughts like a sharp blade. "Your concentration is wavering."

"Sorry," I mumbled, refocusing my energy on the spell I had been practicing. The air around my hands shimmered faintly, but the magic felt weak, fragile even.

"Perhaps it's time for a break," Alawion suggested gently, placing a hand on my shoulder. I glanced over at her, noting the concern etched in the lines around her eyes. "You've been working hard, but your mind seems elsewhere."

Sighing, I lowered my hands and turned to face my mentor fully. "Alawion, there's something I need to ask you." My voice trembled slightly, betraying my anxiety. "Can some of the more powerful mages... see through my illusion?"

A flicker of understanding crossed Alawion's features, and she nodded slowly. "Yes, Ellehish. Mages of higher strength are able to see through your illusion magic."

"Is that why they stare?" I asked, my heart pounding in my chest as I considered the implications of this revelation.

"Most likely," Alawion confirmed a sympathetic expression on her face. "They may be curious as to why you hide your true nature."

Well shit, my heart racing a thousand miles per hour as I considered just leaving this world by moving to another one for a bit.

"Your illusion is like shattered crystals to me, Ellehish," Alawion continued, her voice soft but firm. "while the younger and new mages and older ones with less power have not been able to notice. But It's not as strong as you believed, and the more powerful mages have taken notice."

Sighing as I looked around nervously, and I guess Alawion had noticed as she pulled me into a hug.

"Ellehish, your magic is still growing," Alawion reassured me, grasping my hands in hers. "With time and practice, your illusions will become stronger and more resilient. and perhaps one day you will come to terms with your mixed races."

I stared into the depths of Alawion's eyes, finding solace in their warmth and sincerity. It really seemed that she thought I was a mixed breed. Well given that there was a pale Ork that battled in the arena I guess people just thought I was similar to him. Given how the Falmer were all just creatures that were hurried to look at and mostly lived in caves. No one connected me to them.

"Thank you, Alawion," I said softly. "I'll keep working on my magic" I wasn't sure if I should just store my crown and work to get a magic Circlet to increase my magic or its regeneration.

With a smile, Alawion patted my shoulder encouragingly. "I have no doubt that you will, Ellehish." Damn it and my need to tou.....

A flash from the pendent and my thoughts stopped.

The sun sank lower still, the sky awash in hues of gold and crimson as we returned to our training. The weight of the older and more experienced mages' stares lingered.

Over the next few days, I threw myself into my magical studies with renewed fervor. Each morning, I would rise before dawn, practicing my spells until my fingers ached.

"Focus on your breathing," One of the Human instructor instructed me as we stood in the guild's practice room one evening. "Picture your essence as a wellspring of power deep within you, and draw upon it with each inhale, letting it flow through your veins and into your fingertips."

I followed her guidance, feeling the energy pulsing beneath my skin, growing stronger and more potent with each breath. As I focused and lifted my fingers. A flow of fire shot from my hand and burned the wooden target.

"Excellent work, Ellehish," The instructor praised me, a smile breaking across her beautiful face. "You're making incredible progress."

"Thank you," I panted, sweat beading on my forehead, barely able to contain the excitement and pride that bubbled within me. "But I know I still have so much to learn."

"Indeed," she agreed, her gaze was kind and her robes were far prettier than mine. Deciding to call it a day early I decided to walk over to the fighters guild. I lifted my hood to cover my face as I walked through the city. Thankfully because of Gergs and Awalion had tise with the Theaves guild, I wasn't bothered by any Theaves. Though I had ended up killing a druggy. I used my elder blood to vanish ahead as I could hear guards moving towards the ally I was in and finding a body with its throat slashed by claws.

Using fire magic in my hand without shouting it forward I cleaned my hand of the blood. Finally, I made my way into the fighters guild.

Sunlight streamed through the windows of the Fighters' Guild, casting a golden glow over Arnovia as she expertly dodged her opponent's strikes. Sweat gleamed on her brow, and her breath came in short, determined pants. She was holding a short sword in her hand.

"Excellent work, Arnovia!" praised one of the guild members, a burly Ork with a scarred cheek. "Your agility has improved tenfold since you joined us."

"Thanks," she panted, ducking under another swing. "I owe it all to your guidance." She couldn't help but glance at me, watching from afar, her eyes filled with intensity.

The way she looked at me with those intense eyes made me feel funny inside. Oh, I plan to rock her sweaty world later, biting my lip at the thought's of what I would do.

Later that night

Licking my lips as I moved up and away from Arnovia's pussy and looked at her naked sweaty body as she breathed heavily. Awalion was kind enough to leave us the room for the night as she went out with Gergs to meet with Frerelie. It gave me time to enjoy this sweet meal.

Turning her over and playfully smacking her butt as she was drifting off to sleep. "Let's get cleaned up before you go and fall asleep." She gave me a tired nod. And as we got cleaned and dressed. we cuddled under a fur blanket and as I drifted off to sleep.
