Elder Martial Brother is Always Right

Chapter 15: Chapter 14 Mountain Wind? Evil Demon!

Foraging for root vegetables was something they all knew how to do.

As Song Yin stopped pursuing food, the others followed suit, searching for the same kind of root vegetables they consumed at their Sects, which they were accustomed to.

Even the well-dressed Zhang Fei Xuan, proved to be skilled at it, taking advantage of the moonlight to push aside the shrubs and stuff strange root vegetables and fruits into his bag.

Song Yin nodded in approval.

"Disciple brother, I thought you were from a wealthy family seeking the Dao, but I didn't expect you to be so adept at finding these things," Song Yin praised.

"Disciple brother, you flatter me, what wealthy family..."

Zhang Fei Xuan crouched in front of a bush, shaking his head with a self-deprecating smile after hearing Song Yin's words, "I'm not from any rich family; I'm just..."

He forcefully plucked a fruit, smelled it, and then threw it into his bag.

"I just want to survive."

He stood up, looked at Song Yin again, and smiled anew, "It's actually you disciple brother, whom people truly envy."

"Woo woo!!"

The mountain wind stirred the trees, suddenly howling fiercely, much louder than before.

Zhang Fei Xuan looked up at the trees swaying everywhere from the wind and said, "Disciple brother, I'll go check it out elsewhere..."

What a wind!

With this wind's force, even the sound of escape could be masked...

"Don't move!"

Suddenly, a loud shout came from Song Yin, startling Zhang Fei Xuan.

What now?

Could it no longer be hidden?!

Or did someone become too restless to flee right now?

Zhang Fei Xuan looked around and noticed that the five disciples were strangely collecting, also startled by the loud shout.

Song Yin gazed ahead at the trees, furrowing his brows tightly, "This wind is not right; there are howling sounds..."

A white light flashed in his eyes, illuminating his whole head, as he stared directly ahead.

Song Yin's voice was low and tense, his fists clenched, "An evil demon's presence!"

"Woo!"

The wind lashed through the trees, howling even more fiercely.

Above their heads, the trees were no longer falling in just one direction from the wind's force but started blowing in multiple directions chaotically, until they finally converged into a central direction.

Not just the trees, but the shrubs and other plants seemed to be extending in one direction, as though welcoming the arrival of something.

"Woo woo..."

The wind's sound lowered, causing the vegetation to keep changing direction, but soon after, the plants returned to their normal appearance.

The wind around them quieted, seemingly stopping.

There was no longer the rustling sound unique to trees, plants ceased their rhythm, and the space seemed as if it had been frozen.

"Disciple brother, you're making too much of a fuss," Zhang Fei Xuan said with a hint of a smile.

This scatterbrained person, does he see evil demons in everything...

"It's just an ordinary mountain wind, disciple brother; there's no need..."

Before he could finish his sentence, he abruptly froze on the spot, a look of bewilderment on his face.

Not just him, but the other five fellow disciples also froze there, standing erect, motionless.

"Hehe..."

Suddenly, one of the five disciples from the same sect let out a laugh.

With a somewhat lewd smile on his face, he took two steps forward.

"Hey, beauty, what are you doing out here in these wild and desolate hills?"

As he spoke, he seemed to reach out as if to touch something while nodding his head and said, "Oh... fleeing famine, chased by wolves? Don't worry, brother here is a Qi Cultivator from the Jinxian Sect, have you ever heard of it? It's just nearby on Mount Pingding. You're lucky to have run into us. Follow us back to the sect..."

"What? You've got sisters following behind, and they all look like you? Alright, no problem, let's go get them."

He was talking to himself, his exaggerated smile growing wider on his face.

"Hahaha, I am now invincible in the world! What Jin Guang, what Song Yin, none of them are my match!"

The second to speak up was the tall and burly man; his hair and beard bristling as he raised his hands high. "What Great Path Aura, it doesn't hurt me one bit, I can do whatever I want! What? You want to duel with me, fine, then bring it on!"

The remaining few exhibited different behaviors; one appeared drunk as he clutched at something in his hands, which seemed like a wine jar, roaring wildly.

One was sitting on the ground cross-legged, a drunken mirth on his face as if he was basking in adulation.

The last one had a calm expression, not knowing what he was scattering with a wave of his hand, as if he had become an Immortal surveying the Mortal Realm from an ethereal cloud.

As their bizarre behavior manifested, the surrounding plants seemed to find a target, slowly extending toward that area. The shadows under the moonlight approached like tentacles.

Zhang Fei Xuan's eyes were bloodshot, and with his hands spread open, he released Blood Qi, frantically shouting, "I have finally found you!"

In two steps, he surged forward, his Blood Qi dispersing, and with a reach of his fingers, he shredded a large tree into smithereens.

"Hahahaha, I've finally taken my revenge, I've finally gotten my revenge!"

He threw his head back and howled, then dropped to his knees, covering his face as tears fell, "Father, mother, sister, I've avenged you!!"

The remains of the tree he had destroyed shifted its shadow, turning into tentacles that crept toward the body of Zhang Fei Xuan.

As if the moonlight stretched the shadows, just when the tentacles were about to touch Zhang Fei Xuan, a foot stepped on the shadow of the tentacle.

Song Yin watched the shadow of the tentacle on the ground with increasing disdain in his gaze.

A White Qi erupted beneath his feet, rapidly illuminating the surroundings like the bright sun on a clear day, sweeping away the darkness, leaving no trace of the tentacles.

Song Yin frowned, his eyes ablaze with divine light as he gritted his teeth toward the silent space, "How dare you be so presumptuous before me, truly preposterous!"

He reached into the darkness with his hand, as if grabbing something, and with a sudden clench of his fist, the White Qi on his hand appeared and exploded outward.

Boom!

"Woo!!"

The mountain wind howled again as if it were in pain, countless shadows retreated in all directions, then gathered in front of Song Yin. The shadows slowly rose from the trees and plants, creeping along the ground before merging into a huge, elongated shape.

In the moonlight, the trees swayed, the wind screamed, and the Dark Shadow solidified, its body stretching longer, growing black scales, the elongated body transforming into a four-clawed form, and a pair of dark Niu Jiao horns emerged at the head, forming a Black Dragon of shadow.

"Roar!!!"

The dragon's mouth opened wide, letting out a roar at Song Yin, setting the mountain wind blowing, causing Song Yin's hair and clothes to flutter noisily.

Its might seemed to compel all things to bow down, leaving no room for thoughts of resistance.

A Black Dragon?!

Song Yin's gaze sharpened; he watched as the mouth of the Black Dragon drew ever closer, yet he did not dodge, simply showing a disdainful expression.

"Nothing can escape my eyes, no matter how many forms you change into, even if you turn into a dragon, you are still just a..."

He cracked his knuckles, the pale aura gathering in his fist, and as the Black Dragon neared, he landed a heavy punch on its head.

Thud!!

Under the force of the punch, the Black Dragon simply burst apart, turning into Demonic Qi that scattered around the area.

"Nothing but an Evil Demon!"
