At Jay's signal, Qew stepped forward and began unveiling the vision behind Alter Reality.

She outlined every detail, explaining how the game was far more than just a virtual experience. It was a groundbreaking simulation platform designed to prepare humanity for the Assimilation.

Through highly immersive survival scenarios, adaptive AI opponents, and unpredictable challenges, Alter Reality would mentally and physically prepare humanity for what lay ahead.

As Qew spoke, the room fell silent. Everyone, except for Jay, Kay and Moro, who already knew, listened in stunned disbelief. The scope of what she described was staggering.

Even Olivia and Sergei, who rarely lost composure, sat speechless. This was the first time they were hearing about Alter Reality, and it left them utterly speechless.

They had expected another clever strategy, but what Qew presented was nothing short of revolutionary.

The more Qew spoke, the heavier the silence became. It wasn't just awe anymore; it was realization.

The realization that this game might determine whether humanity could endure the world that awaited them.

Then, just as the intensity in the room hit its peak, Jay's gaze shifted sharply to the villa's entrance.

A subtle tugged at his lips, and without a word, he excused himself from the table before leaving the others puzzled by his abrupt departure. There was a brief exchange of glances, questioning what could have caught Jay's attention so suddenly.

A few seconds later, Jay opened the door and a tall man with striking Italian features strolled in.

Jay's face lit up with a genuine smile as they shared a casual side hug, like two old friends reunited after a long time.

"You took your time, but made it just in time."

The man wiped away imaginary sweat and said. "Traffic here is brutal. Thought I couldn't make it in time."

Jay chuckled and stepped aside. "You'll get used to it. Come on. Everyone's waiting."

And with that, they walked back toward the dining area together. Their casual banter showed just how comfortable they were around each other.

As they reached the dining table, the curious eyes of Jay's family members followed them, the unexpected guest immediately drawing their attention.

Jay then looked at everyone, and formally introduced him.

"To those who don't know, this is Dante, a good friend I made in the Trial World. He's also one of the Alpha Chosen."

The words hit harder than expected.

It wasn't just the revelation that another Alpha Chosen was now among them, which alone would've been enough to shock the room. But what left everyone genuinely stunned was hearing Jay use the words good friend.

For years, Jay had kept everyone at a distance. Ever since he was seventeen, he had carefully avoided building emotional connections with anyone outside his immediate family. The only exception had ever been Rownak.

Even with Udhay, his long-time student, Jay had maintained a professional boundary, never once inviting him into the family's private space.

But now, here was Dante, someone entirely outside Jay's usual circle, and yet Jay treated him with a casual warmth that was unlike him.

The ease in their interaction, the casual way they moved and spoke together, was unlike anything the family had seen in a long time.

Divya and Ankith exchanged a glance. Their surprise was clear, though unspoken. They were trying to understand what had changed. It wasn't just them, even Lokesh and his parents seemed to be having a similar train of thought.

'What had happened in the Trial World that made Jay finally let someone in his circle?'

Kay and Qew, however, weren't nearly as shocked. They had already learned about the events from the Tournament Island through MJ.

Despite their initial surprise, they felt a sense of relief and happiness that Jay had finally found another friend he could rely on, someone who had proven their loyalty in ways that went beyond mere words.

The fact that Dante had risked his life to protect Jay spoke volumes. Both Kay and Qew couldn't help but feel their respect for Dante grow severalfold, knowing how difficult it was for their brother to let anyone get close.

Olivia and Sergei stayed calm and composed, already familiar with the bond between Jay and Dante. They greeted him with warm smiles, showing the mutual respect they had built over time.

Dante, known among the Alpha Chosen as the most friendly and easy to talk to, had formed a pleasant relationship with them. From the way Olivia and Sergei looked at him, it was clear they were truly happy to see him there.

Ankith, Jay's father, was visibly pleased that his eldest son finally made a new friend. Standing up from his seat, he walked over to Dante with a welcoming smile and extended his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Dante," he said.

Dante shook his hand respectfully. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Ankith."

Divya, even more delighted, wasted no time. Her motherly side took over as she started piling food onto Dante's plate. "You must be tired after all that travel. Please eat well. There's plenty here, so don't hold back."

Her eyes sparkled with joy. She was not only happy to see Jay with a new friend but also glad to welcome someone who had stood by her son during such dangerous times.

Dante smiled gratefully, clearly touched by their hospitality.

"Thank you, Mrs. Divya. The food looks amazing. A home-cooked meal like this is just what I needed."

His honest smile and genuine appreciation left a strong impression on everyone around him.

Once his parents returned to their seats, everyone spent a few minutes in light conversation. The room filled with soft laughter and easygoing talk, letting everyone relax for a while.

But the calm didn't last long. Jay's expression slowly turned serious again.

"Alright, let's get back to the matter at hand," he said, bringing everyone's attention back to him.

"I know it's been a long and tiring day, especially for those who just returned from the Trial World." His gaze swept over Dante, Olivia, and Sergei as he spoke, acknowledging their efforts.

"We'll go over the main points quickly so we can all get some proper rest."
