After reading the first set of notifications, Jay was taken aback. The score was far higher than he had expected.

According to System Records MJ had access to, most Omega Chosen scored between 80 and 90. Those who scored above 90 went on to become major figures in Universe history. That score range had come to be known as the Sovereign Benchmark.

Jay had poured everything he had into the first two rounds of the tournament, aiming to hit that benchmark. If not for the Plasma Predator and the monster horde, he believed he might've fallen short.

Even with the incredible score, the 72% fatality rate left a bitter aftertaste. Across all 1,000 Trial Regions, the death toll had reached around 6.5 million.

Adding the 2.5 million who died surviving until Day 10, the current number of surviving Alpha Chosen was barely 2 million. In just ten days, more than four-fifths of the original 11 million Alpha Chosen were gone.

Even with all his power, Jay felt a growing unease. The invasion had crushed any sense of safety he had. His battle with the Plasma Predator only made things worse. A shadow of doubt had taken root.

And soon, his brother and sister would be part of the upcoming Beta Program, just twenty days away.

Jay couldn't let them enter Trial World like this unprepared. He had to get stronger, strong enough to remove any threat before it reached them.

With his overall stats reaching 1000, Jay found himself in a precarious situation.

INVERSE mode, his ultimate trump card, was no longer accessible due to the 1st Universe Limit obstructing his progress.

What Jay needed was to advance his mastery over Origin Energy to activate INVERSE mode again. He required 4% mastery, but was stuck at 2%.

The real problem was the paradoxial loop, where he couldn't progress without Origin Energy, and he couldn't access Origin Energy without progressing. Just thinking about it gave him a headache.

But now, as he looked at the second batch of System notifications, a way out began to show itself.

Another two Universe Level Achievements added 3,100 points, pushing his total to 14,800. Still, it wasn't enough.

The Origin Glaive, the weapon Jay believed could break his current bottleneck, remained out of reach.

He wasn't fully certain it would solve everything, but the instinct pushing him toward it wouldn't go away. It lingered like a silent urge, too strong to ignore.

With no better path forward, Jay decided to trust that feeling. All that mattered now was gathering Universe Points, as fast as possible.

Elsewhere, MJ's five corpse-integrated monsters continued their rampage, hunting without pause across the now unblocked Trial Zones.

Each kill stacked more and more Life Energy and Looted Stats. MJ had muted the kill notifications. If it weren't for MJ muting the monster kill notifications, Jay would be constantly bombarded with them.

Jay's ever-increasing stack of Life Energy didn't distract him as he scanned the updated Leaderboard.

Alongside a Trial participant's level and home planet, a new metric had now appeared on the Leaderboard: Power Index.

Jay immediately understood what it meant. MJ had already explained it to him.

It wasn't anything new. In every Trial Program the System had ever conducted, once the Alpha Prime Prospects were selected, rankings no longer followed level alone, they shifted to Power Index.

Jay knew the title of Alpha Prime Prospect wasn't tied to one person. It was a position, open to anyone who could reach the Top 10 through sheer power.

More importantly, anyone could challenge any of the 10 Alpha Prime Prospect. If the challenger won, they would take that Prospect's position.

Even lower-ranked Prospects could issue a challenge to someone above them. If they won, the rankings would adjust immediately.

This was the System's way of reinforcing the idea that in the vast universe, only power reigned supreme.

Although the current Alpha Prime Prospects might not retain their positions by the end of the Alpha Program, they held an advantage over the rest. It had to do with the last bunch of reward notifications.
