"Night Raid! It's Night Raid!"

Frantic shouts echoed through the darkened streets of the Imperial Capital. The voices belonged to members of the Imperial Guard.

Under Prime Minister Mellie's orders, the Imperial Guard had been tasked with apprehending Night Raid. To assist Tatsumi, Mellie had dispatched Wave and Run from the military.

Run, a Teigu user transferred from the provinces, had served as a secretary in the Night Crow unit upon arriving in the capital. he was one of the few individuals recruited by Airmid with administrative skills.

However, for this mission, he had been reassigned to the Imperial Guards, demonstrating Mellie's commitment to addressing the Night Raid threat.

Of course, this was merely for show.

Tatsumi's true objective was different.

"You won't escape!"

Facing Bulat and Leone as they fled through the streets, Tatsumi raised his hand, summoning a bolt of lightning that hurtled towards them.

"What?!" Bulat's eyes widened as he saw the descending lightning.

"Incursio!" he shouted, activating his Teigu.

The sword-shaped Teigu transformed into a suit of armor, and simultaneously, the spear Neuntote materialized in his hand.

"Haaah!"

Bulat spun his spear, deflecting the lightning strike.

But in that instant, Tatsumi closed the distance, appearing before them.

"Don't even think about getting close!" Leone intercepted Tatsumi, shielding Bulat as he defended against the lightning.

Tatsumi responded with a swift punch.

"Stay down, you swindler!"

He had recognized Leone as the woman who had tricked him out of all his money upon his arrival in the capital. This memory fueled his rage.

In fact, he had identified her after their previous encounter with Night Raid, when Leone's wanted poster was displayed throughout the city.

Now, facing Night Raid once more, Tatsumi ignored Akame, whom he had fought before, and focused solely on Leone. She had stolen a significant sum of money from him. While he might forgive other transgressions, stealing his money was unforgivable.

After all, he, Sayo, and Ieyasu had come to the capital to earn money and save their village.

Though Mika's ascension to Emperor had already secured his village's future, the memory of his humiliation fueled his anger.

Clenching his fist, he struck Leone's arm. A surge of electricity coursed through his armor and into her.

"What?!" Leone's eyes widened in shock.

The powerful current surged through her body, paralyzing her. She collapsed to the ground, unable to move.

Seeing her fall, a smirk touched Tatsumi's lips.

He was no longer a pseudo-Teigu user.

He was a true wielder of a Teigu.

And that Teigu was once General Budo's—Adramelech. After Budo's death, it had naturally fallen into Mika's possession. Finding it rather underwhelming, Mika had decided to enhance it.

Using the original Adramelech as a base, Mika incorporated materials from various Danger Beasts and technologies from other Teigu. Combined with his blacksmithing skills, he had forged a new, enhanced Teigu.

In its inactive state, the new Adramelech resembled the Boosted Gear from High School DxD, though it was primarily blue. It retained its original abilities: summoning thunderclouds and manipulating lightning.

However, upon full activation, it transformed into a suit of full-body armor, significantly enhancing the user's physical abilities and granting flight. These enhancements were derived from Wave's Grand Chariot and Run's Mastema.

Reforged by Mika, Tatsumi's new Teigu was among the most powerful.

However, its burden on the user was immense.

Even Incursio, which Tatsumi inherited from Bulat, was considered among the most demanding Teigu. An ordinary person wouldn't be able to withstand its burden.

Tatsumi's new Teigu was even more demanding.

If he hadn't rigorously trained his body beforehand, he wouldn't be able to wield it.

Mika had named this enhanced Teigu "Thunder Emperor Armor: Adramelech".

"Leone!"

Seeing her collapse from Tatsumi's attack, Bulat, having just deflected the lightning strike, charged towards Tatsumi.

However, Tatsumi quickly retreated.

He had studied Night Raid's intelligence reports. Among them, Akame was the most dangerous. Her Teigu, Murasame, could kill with a single scratch.

But the strongest was undoubtedly Bulat. His power was overwhelming, especially when wielding Incursio.

Therefore, facing Bulat's charge, Tatsumi wisely created distance.

He understood Bulat's intentions.

But he didn't plan to use the incapacitated Leone as a hostage. He had no intention of killing Night Raid.

Mellie had instructed him accordingly.

While Leone had stolen his money, Tatsumi wouldn't kill her for it. He wasn't that ruthless.

Moreover, he considered Bulat and Akame excellent training partners.

"Thunder Emperor Armor: Adramelech!"

Tatsumi crossed his armored arms before his chest and shouted.

In a flash of lightning, his Teigu activated fully, transforming into a suit of armor. Wielding a longsword, he stood before Bulat.

"It seems we're both armor-type Teigu users," he said with a smirk, before charging toward Bulat.

Their battle began.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

The sound of clashing weapons echoed through the streets.

Gripping his longsword tightly, Tatsumi relentlessly attacked Bulat.

The weapon he wielded was no longer the Holy Sword Mika had lent him. With the Thunder Emperor Armor, wielding Durandal would be overkill.

After all, Tatsumi's goal was to train himself, not to kill.

Therefore, he now used the sword that came with his Teigu, much like Bulat's Neuntote.

"Clang!"

After his recent training, Tatsumi's swordsmanship had improved drastically, rivaling that of Bulat and Akame.

Even facing Bulat, he held his own.

"Clang!"

Blocking Tatsumi's thrust with his spear, Bulat regarded him with a serious expression.

"The Empire seems to be producing some impressive Teigu users lately."

"And this one likely has connections to that person."

Through their exchange, Bulat had sensed traces of Mika's swordsmanship in Tatsumi's style.

After all, Mika and Tatsumi practiced the same Breathing Styles.

"That person, huh?"

Bulat couldn't help but recall Mika.

After their previous duel, he had assessed Mika's strength as being among the Empire's strongest.

And according to Chelsea's report, the current Emperor also possessed similar strength, having defeated both Budo and Esdeath.

This led Bulat to believe that the current Emperor was the same individual he had fought before.

After all, it was unlikely for so many individuals with such power to appear simultaneously.

Now, sensing traces of Mika's swordsmanship in Tatsumi, Bulat couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

He suspected the Emperor commanded numerous powerful individuals.

"What a formidable organization."

After a moment of contemplation, Bulat refocused on the battle before him.

He assessed Tatsumi's skill as being on par with his own, and the gap in their physical abilities was closing.

However, Tatsumi's superior Teigu compensated for that slight difference.

But there was one area where Bulat held an absolute advantage: combat experience.

Compared to the novice Tatsumi, Bulat, a veteran of countless battles, possessed far greater experience.

Focusing his mind, Bulat began to gain the upper hand.

"What's this?!" Tatsumi exclaimed in surprise as the battle progressed.

He sensed a familiar rhythm in Bulat's movements, reminiscent of Mika's style. He recognized it as the mark of a seasoned warrior.

"It seems I underestimated you."

Feeling the momentum shifting, Tatsumi was momentarily surprised before chuckling.

"It was foolish of me to engage you in close combat."

"Then allow me to unleash my full power!"

A predatory grin spread across Tatsumi's face. Lightning crackled around him as the sky above the capital darkened, filled with swirling thunderclouds.

"Boom!"

Lightning struck the ground.

"Not good!"

Seeing the descending lightning, Bulat immediately ceased his attack and focused on evasion. Even with his armor, he wasn't eager to be struck by lightning.

Leone, who had been lying on the ground, also quickly got to her feet and began to flee.

Her Teigu, Lionelle, granted her incredible regenerative abilities, allowing her to quickly recover from the electrical shock.

"Retreat, Bulat!" she shouted.

"Understood!"

Bulat didn't hesitate. His comrade's life was more important than a prolonged battle with Tatsumi.

"Damn it! They're trying to escape!"

Tatsumi was about to pursue them when he recalled Mellie's instructions.

"The situation is already dangerous for Night Raid. Prolonging the fight will only put them at greater risk."

"If they suffer casualties, it would violate Mellie's orders."

"Tatsumi, Night Raid has resurfaced. I believe their targets are those corrupt officials I spared earlier," Mellie said seriously, addressing Tatsumi from her seat.

"So, you want me to apprehend them?" he asked.

"No. I despise those corrupt officials as much as you do. But to maintain order, I gave them a chance."

"Now, I regret that decision."

Mellie's voice was calm, her expression unwavering. It was as if breaking her promise held no weight. Her resolve was absolute.

Both she and Tatsumi knew the depths of depravity within the former capital. Those officials had countless lives on their hands.

Mellie couldn't bring herself to forgive them.

"So, you want us to assist Night Raid in eliminating those officials?" Tatsumi asked, realizing her intent.

A smile touched his lips. He felt no sympathy for those corrupt individuals and was pleased to be part of their downfall.

Therefore, before sending those criminals to their graves, he wouldn't harm Night Raid.

"Everyone's back!"

After letting Bulat and Leone escape, Tatsumi, Wave, Run, and Seryu regrouped.

As Teigu users involved in the confrontation with Night Raid, they were all aware of the situation.

Wave and Run had no objections.

However, Seryu appeared reluctant. Though Tatsumi's influence had softened her stance, she remained steadfast in her twisted sense of "justice."

She couldn't bring herself to cooperate with the "evil" Night Raid.

But ultimately, Tatsumi's insistence on following orders swayed her.

"Alas, another civil official has fallen victim to Night Raid. What a tragedy," Tatsumi said dramatically, addressing his companions.

Seeing his unconvincing performance, the three couldn't help but chuckle.

Undeterred, he continued, "Let's go report this to Prime Minister Mellie and offer our apologies."
