Dxd: The Primordial Judge

Chapter 15: Flexing Muscles!

The isolated dimension Neuvillette had created for Ophis was a masterpiece of craftsmanship using his memories of various fiction from his previous life as inspiration.

The dimension was vast, with the space stretching endlessly, like a starlit sea reflecting a sky blanketed with shifting auroras of soft silver and blue. The air was still and quiet, untouched by the turbulence of the outside world,a place of true solitude.

At the center of the dimension stood Neuvillette and Ophis, on a small island of smooth, obsidian like stone surrounded by a shimmering pool that rippled faintly, and a vast array of entertainment and relaxation facilities to make sure Ophis wouldn't need to leave.

Neuvillette observed the Ouroboros Dragon silently as she explored the area and the facilities, her delicate frame gliding across the space relatively effortlessly.

"Does it suit you?" Neuvillette finally asked, his deep voice resonating softly in the tranquil silence as Ophis paused mid-step and turned to face him.

Her eyes showed no expression for a moment before she gave him a light nod, a simple acknowledgement before she continued onwards with her exploration of the dimension, enjoying the silence it provided.

Neuvillette allowed a faint smile to touch his lips. "Good," he said softly, "This place was made with you in mind, a sanctuary where no noise, no chaos, can intrude. Use it as you see fit, Ophis."

Before she could respond, the faint hum of a communication device broke the silence. Neuvillette reached into his coat and retrieved the device, holding it to his ear.

"Alfred," he said simply, his tone returning to its usual commanding calm.

"Chief Ludex," Alfred's composed voice came through, faintly crackling over the line. "We've located two of the Khaos Brigade's bases. One is situated within the ruins of an abandoned castle in Northern Europe, concealed by heavy magical wards. The other is hidden within a labyrinthine cavern system near Kyoto's outskirts, guarded by a significant number of supernatural forces."

Neuvillette's eyes narrowed slightly, his mind quickly analyzing the situation. "Excellent work. Here's how we'll proceed: mobilize all available enforcement units and direct them to the base near Kyoto. Ensure they are prepared for a coordinated and swift strike. I will personally handle the base in Northern Europe."

Alfred hesitated for a brief moment, his concern evident even through the line. "Understood, sir, but are you certain you should handle the castle alone? Its magical defenses are extensive, and there is evidence suggesting high-ranking members of the Brigade may be stationed there."

"I am certain," Neuvillette replied firmly, "The more substantial resistance will be in Kyoto, and our forces will need every advantage to ensure a decisive victory. As for the castle...I can handle it."

Alfred relented with a sigh, "Very well, Chief Ludex. The agents are already assembling. I'll keep you updated on their progress."

"Do so." Neuvillette ended the call, returning the device to his coat.

Ophis had turned to face him, her expression unreadable but curious. She tilted her head slightly, as though silently asking for an explanation.

"I must take my leave," Neuvillette told her, his voice softening. "There are matters that require my immediate attention. This dimension will remain open to you, should you wish to stay."

Ophis gazed at him for a moment, then gave another slight nod before turning back to the shimmering light trails, her attention already shifting back to her quiet exploration.

With a final glance, Neuvillette stepped forward, his tall frame straight and imposing even in this tranquil realm. He extended his hand, and a portal of swirling water and light materialized before him, its energy radiating with his unmistakable power.

Without another word, Neuvillette stepped through the portal, vanishing from the silent haven he had created for Ophis.

The swirling portal opened onto a desolate landscape, the ruins of a once-grand castle now standing as a crumbling shadow of its former glory. The air was heavy with the scent of damp stone and faint traces of lingering magic.

Neuvillette emerged from the portal, his presence imposing against the bleak backdrop.

The magical wards surrounding the castle flickered faintly, like a web of threads stitched into the very air. They hummed with power, acting as a clear deterrent to anyone who dared approach and assault the castle.

Neuvillette waved his hand, and a swarm of storm clouds surrounded the area, obscuring the moonlight with dense, swirling layers of gray and black.A low rumble of thunder echoed across the desolate landscape, a forewarning of the judgment to come.

The wards guarding the castle glimmered faintly, trying to hold back the overwhelming pressure of Neuvillette's aura as he approached.

The Chief Ludex stopped at the edge of the barrier, his sharp silver-blue eyes scanning the intricate runes and sigils woven into its structure.

With a simple wave of his hand, droplets of water materialized around him, glinting in the dim light. The droplets merged into streams, forming intricate ribbons of liquid that danced at his fingertips.

With a flick of his wrist, the ribbons of water surged forward, slicing into the barrier like razor-sharp blades. The air trembled as the magical wards resisted, but Neuvillette's power was relentless.

A cascade of rain poured down from the storm above, soaking the castle grounds and amplifying his control. The droplets converged into a single, massive torrent, hammering against the barrier with the force of a tidal wave.

Cracks formed in the shimmering web of magic, spreading rapidly until the barrier shattered with a resounding crash, the fragments of energy dissolving into the storm.

Neuvillette stepped forward, his boots crunching against the wet, rocky ground as he entered the castle's domain. As soon as he entered the castle, Neuvillette was confronted with a cold, dark interior, the halls only illuminated by torches.

Almost immediately, the first wave of opposition arrived, a group of cloaked figures armed with various magical weapons and enchanted armor. They moved swiftly, spreading out to encircle him, their weapons glowing with energy.

"Stop right there!" one of them barked, his voice laced with both authority and fear as he recognized who Neuvillette was, "You have no business here, Ludex!"

Neuvillette didn't bother responding. With a fluid motion, he raised his hand, and the rainwater that had seeped into the castle pooled at his feet. It rose like living tendrils, swirling and twisting around him.

The figures lunged at him in unison, their blades and spells aimed to overwhelm. But Neuvillette remained calm, his expression unchanging. With a subtle motion, the tendrils of water lashed out, striking with the precision of a master swordsman.

One attacker was swept off his feet, his weapon wrenched from his grasp and shattered. Another found his fireball spell doused mid-flight, the water extinguishing it with ease before coiling around his legs and slamming him into the stone wall, smashing multiple bones in his body instantaneously.

The remaining attackers hesitated, their confidence wavering as they realized the gulf between their abilities and the power of the Chief Ludex.

"Leave now," Neuvillette said, his voice calm but carrying an edge of finality, "Guards like you have no business being in my way. Go and turn yourself in, and you may avoid a harsher fate."

Two of the cloaked figures exchanged glances before retreating down the corridor, their survival instincts overpowering their loyalty to the Khaos Brigade.

The others, too stubborn or too frightened to retreat, pressed on, only to be dispatched just as effortlessly, their unconscious forms left behind as Neuvillette advanced deeper into the fortress.

As Neuvillette moved through the castle, he encountered various traps and magical defenses: enchanted arrows that dissolved into harmless mist upon meeting his water shields, stone golems that crumbled under the weight of a pressurized torrent, and illusions that were dispelled with a single, piercing gaze.

It was relatively easy for him and soon, he reached the grand hall. The heavy double doors creaked open, revealing a cavernous room lined with dark banners bearing the sigil of the Khaos Brigade.

At the center stood a throne carved from black stone, and seated upon it was a tall, armored figure with an aura of menacing power. Around him were several high-ranking lieutenants, their presence radiating danger.

The leader rose from his throne, his crimson eyes glowing beneath his helmet. "So, the infamous Chief Ludex has deigned to visit us personally," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Do you think yourself untouchable, Neuvillette? Do you believe your precious rain will extinguish the fire of chaos?"

Neuvillette met the man's gaze, his expression calm and unyielding. "Your chaos is a pitiful excuse for power," he replied, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade. "It thrives on destruction and imbalance, and it will not be tolerated now that I've returned.

The leader snarled, raising his hand to signal his lieutenants. They charged at Neuvillette, their combined might enough to annihilate any ordinary opponent. But Neuvillette was far from ordinary.

The rainwater that had flooded the castle surged into the hall, forming a swirling vortex around him. With a single motion, he sent a wave crashing into the oncoming lieutenants, scattering them like leaves in a storm.

One of them, a sorceress, tried to counter with a barrage of fireballs, but Neuvillette extinguished them effortlessly, redirecting the water to encase her in a sphere that left her immobilized but unharmed.

Another, a massive brute wielding a war hammer, swung at him with all his might, only for his weapon to be caught in a tendril of water and ripped from his grasp, being smashed back onto his head and knocking him out cold.

One by one, the lieutenants fell, subdued with precise and controlled force.

The leader, now alone, drew a massive, rune-etched sword that pulsed with dark energy.

He charged at Neuvillette, unleashing a flurry of strikes that would have shattered stone. Neuvillette met him head-on, his movements fluid and controlled as he dodged and parried with water constructs that materialized around him.

"You fight well," Neuvillette said, his voice calm even in the midst of battle, "But your strength is born of chaos, and chaos has no place in this world."

With a final, decisive motion, Neuvillette summoned a towering pillar of water that crashed down upon the leader, pinning him to the ground. The man struggled, his armor dented and his sword shattered, but it was futile.

Neuvillette stepped forward, his gaze piercing.,"You and your ilk will face judgment for your crimes," he said, his voice as steady as the falling rain. "The balance you sought to disrupt will be restored."

The leader glared up at him, defiant to the end. But before he could utter a retort, Neuvillette raised his hand, and the water encasing him solidified into ice, leaving him immobilized.

He retrieved his communication device and contacted Alfred.

"The castle has been secured," he reported. "Send a retrieval team to take the prisoners into custody. Ensure that their crimes are documented, and prepare them for trial."

"Understood, Chief Ludex," Alfred replied. "And the leader?"

"Alive, but subdued," Neuvillette said. "He will face justice, as will the others."
