DXD Issei: The Mind of Games

"So, hear me out, I have a little meeting with the factions again." Artemis already began losing her smile the moment the word meeting came out. "But I'll call you immediately if I need help or if I need to run away with your help."

"Why do you always have to go to these meetings?" Artemis demanded.

Thinking to himself, Issei needed a reason that could somewhat make sense to Artemis. "I already have earned prestige within the factions. That gives me benefits with materials given to me and even free food."

"Do the extra equipment and food truly make up for the problems that they give you?"

Issei shrugged his shoulders, "I did get a cool piece of armor from Sirzechs last time. I think it's worth it. Not only that, Sirzechs said that he would figure out a way to get me out of going to school for a week and I don't need to make up for the work I miss."

"Really, a single week of missing school was enough to make you join the meeting?" Sighing to herself, Artemis should have expected this from Issei. Speaking of items, Artemis looked at Issei and asked," If you want material and equipment, then why not ask my father... Wait, that wouldn't work since my father doesn't know you. I guess that if it truly helps you, I won't stop you from going there. However, you better call me if things go south. Not only that, but you must also notify me of anything major happening."

"Gotcha!" Disappearing from sight, Issei was making his way to the meeting.

Artemis was left pouting where she was. "Sometimes, I just want to keep him here and spend the entire day with him." Before going any further, Artemis had a thought, "Actually, what is stopping me from keeping him here for a couple of days?"

Issei was going to have a bad time again when he gets back.

Meanwhile, Issei was sitting down in front of the door that led to Sirzechs's office. He was given a summon sign from Sirzechs to appear right in front of his office. Knocking on the door and waiting patiently, Grayfia was the one to open the door and was greeted by Issei calmly sitting down next to the door. There were a couple of chairs lined near the door where Issei was sitting at.

"Oh! You're finally here." Grayfia clapped her hands in happiness in seeing Issei again. "Hurry, we have to prepare you properly for the meeting. Odin is very eager to see you."

Grabbing him by the hand and bringing him into the office room, Issei was met with Sirzechs sitting at his desk with a wide smile. "Issei, you actually showed up!"

"We did have a deal."

"Oh yeah, was it about you skipping school for a week?"

"Yeah, that deal."

Grayfia raised a brow in hearing this, "What about Issei skipping school?"

Sirzechs turned to his wife and scratched the back of his head while chuckling, "It's nothing to worry about. Issei and I made a little deal with ended up with us coming to terms with him showing up to the meeting. That's all, trust me honey."

Grayfia was skeptical and turned to Issei, "And what did you get at the end of this deal?"

Issei saw from the corner of his eyes of Sirzechs begging to Issei with his hands together and remaining quiet enough for his wife not to hear. Sighing to himself, Issei responded, "Don't worry about that. I simply just got a little bit of help with something from Sirzechs. Nothing crazy..."

"You both think I didn't hear about you skipping school. It's not that hard connecting the pieces. You both will be getting an earful from me, more of Sirzechs here." Sirzechs sighed in sadness knowing that he got busted. Issei just knew that he could escape at any time and escape whatever wrath that would follow him if he were to stay.

Before anything else could be said, Grayfia pulled out a suit that perfectly matched Issei's size. Throwing the suit at Issei and throwing him into the bathroom, Grayfia simply said, "Get changed and get to the main room pronto!"

With that, she took Sirzechs out of the room and towards the main hall where everyone was going to meet. Taking a look at the suit, Issei placed the suit out at the desk because he was not going to put it on. Issei hated wearing suits because all of them were either too tight or were too uncomfortable. Walking back towards the main room with his usual shirt and pants, he was ready to see the legendary Odin in all his glory.

Issei stood in the middle of the hall while looking confused at his surroundings. There were so many people that were invited to the main event that he couldn't find anyone that he knew. However, that quickly changed when he noticed Ravel coming towards him. He knew of her because of her connection to her brother and when she was comforting her brother after his fight with Issei.

"You!" Ravel pointed her finger at Issei accusingly.

"You!" Mimicking her and pointing his finger at the little girl, Ravel groaned in annoyance while having a tick mark on her forehead.

"I still remember what you did to my brother!"

"Ok... and?"

Stomping her foot into the ground, Ravel threw a minor tantrum, "You can't just say that causally! You hurt my brother."

"But he decided to pick a fight with me knowing the potential consequences."

Ravel knew she couldn't get through him but there was truth in his words. She just didn't want to agree because she just didn't want to. "Anyways, my mother and father decided to give you this. We didn't want what my brother said to you to cause a detriment in our potential relationship in Hell. So, they decided to give you this."

It made sense why they were frantically trying to get on his good side. He was widely known as the new heroic figure of the factions now and the family didn't want to cause any issues between them since he was such an important figure now.

Pulling out a small little vial covered in golden decorations that looked to be a small Phoenix, Ravel looked away while handing the little thing to Issei. Analyzing the item, Issei widened his eyes when seeing what the golden item did.

"Partner, I hate to admit, but this little girl just gave you a golden item. Take it graciously and use it whenever you are nearly going to die."

Grabbing the vial, Issei thanked Ravel, "Thanks for this, Ravel." Patting her head and walking away while leaving the blonde-haired woman to be a blushing mess after the touch, Issei couldn't be happier with this. It will just mean that he could be even more aggressive with his approach against his enemies and use these if he gets into any danger.

Well, at least he got something good out of this exchange. Before long, Issei bumped into another person. Obviously, the person was much smaller and fell down. Reaching out his hand to help them, Issei apologized, "Sorry about that, I should have seen where I was going."

Looking at who bumped into him, the woman had silver hair that went past her shoulders and wore a proper suit. She grabbed his hand for help to get up and blushed in embarrassment. "I should have been watching where I was going. It was my fault."

Noticing her stats, Issei was impressed that she was more powerful than Rias and Sona. He shouldn't be since it did say that she was Odin's helper, but isn't she a little weak to be the helper of a God?

Shaking his head out of his thoughts, Issei smiled kindly, "Are you lost?"

"No, she's just with me." Hearing another voice, Issei turned to see an old man half his size smiling at him. "I'm guessing you're Issei."

"Odin, where have you been? I looked everywhere for you."

Wait... Odin! Widening his eyes, Issei looked at the old man and noticed him chuckling at him. This man in front of him, who was just casually stroking his beard, was the all father of the Norse Pantheon. Without Issei even knowing, his body began sweating a little bit. This was just so sudden.

"Damn it Rossweisse, I wanted to keep that a little surprise for this one." Shit was going to get real now.
