Rain darkened the concrete, yet washed away the bloody taint. The black boot crushed the oxen demon's skull, even as the similarly gloved hand fired three more bullets into the darkness. The light pierced the darkness, shattered the petty illusion masking the Jorogumo.
A sneer deformed his face as he stepped forward. White coat flapping in the brisk night wind, his dead God's light unable to protect him.
A beautiful woman became a deformed mass of limbs vaguely shaped like a spider. Drawing five swords of light from his inventory. With a single rigorously practiced throw the five spears of light pierced the woman. Forming a pentagram across her body, one in the throat, two in the shoulders, and two mirrored below the shoulders.
The night's peace was shattered by a scream quickly dispatched as mana pulsed just beneath the skin. Ran through his veins, drew the marrow from his bones, and the flesh from his cheeks. With a broken chuckle he commanded, "Arise."
[Class Necromancer Has Leveled Up: 49/50]
The spider demon twitched its face deforming into a wide clownish smile. Her uncannily beautiful face lowered as she bowed eight legs lowering before she disappeared.
[You Have Stored 1x Level 33 Jorogumo]
Kneeling by the demon he studied its features. Somewhere in there was a man, he had once been made in the image of the lord now so defiled. It was sickening what these monsters would do to themselves.
Brushing his fingers across the devilish jaw, up the obsidian horns he nodded. It would make a fine specimen. Black ink wetted the tips of his glove, as he drew his hands across the face. Down the neck, and around where the heart would be on the back. He traced the spine, and carved his dead God's name into the demon's flesh.
ADONAI.
ELOHIM.
ALPHA AND OMEGA.
FIRST AND LAST.
EMMANUEL.
GOD ALMIGHTY.
Hell listened to the black sheep, knelt before the wisdom he had scraped together and surrendered the misbegotten soul. Stolen from the arms of archangels into pandemonium only to be pushed too far. Pity stirred, but was brushed aside like pond scum. Silenced as he forced his soul to stillness.
Flipping the body over he continued drawing the symbols. Beseech the goddess of this land for but a single shadow of hope. When none came Alexander knew what must be done. The weight of the world on one man's shoulders, he would take the sins of the world as his Lord had done so many years ago.
Golden light flared as the blonde man forced his hand deep into the demon's chest. Reached into his unbeaten heart, and grasped the single red rook. The weight of his transgression built in the air like an ill omen. The ground beat like drums, or perhaps that was just his temples.
"Get up and walk." He commanded, "In the man Jesus name."
The beast listened. It twitched, as the flesh warped. Ripping his fist from the chest the wound closed. With a single shuddering breath the heart began to beat, as the horns shattered. As the jaw softened from a razor to something more human, and the skin returned to its usual japanese tint.
The bestial eyes lost their vertical slit, even as the basest stirrings of consciousness returned to the eyes. His teeth changed from fangs to an omnivore's molars, and and tail curled into itself, disappearing into nothingness.
The world was silent for a moment before the roar of thunder shattered the night, as the lightning sought out the defiler.
[Necromancer Class Has Evolved Into Profane Harbinger of Light(Legendary) 1/100]
[New Skill Gained: Resurrection (Legendary)]
The storm built even as his Stray Exorcist's Sense Divinity skill began to scream. The gaze from the sky was intense, greater than any echo the archangels could draw upon, yet nothing before the Lord.
His wrath was the rain before the flood, the spark before the annihilation rained upon the tower of babble. So he Strayed from the Path that God sought for him. Fled from the indiscriminate wrath the storm god intended to wreak upon him. Great silver arcs of celestial wrath built in the clouds twisting into demonic pagan faces.
[Skill Stray(Rare) Has Evolved Stray(Epic)]
From nothing a gargantuan skeletal beast appeared, lowering it's palm it allowed Alexander to climb upon the boney finger.
[Giant Skeleton Level 55 Hp 146,000/146,000]
The small standard Japanese town houses began to flood as the water grew and grew inch by inch. Lightning feel like a great hammer towards the skeleton, even as another undead appeared in the sky between the skeleton and the divine wrath.
[Chimeric Sea Turtle Level 63 325,772/325,772]
The pulsating aquatic flesh was fried instantly, dying, yet before the corpse could crash back crushing the skeleton. The white clad exorcist nestled within the skeletal ribs closed his palm and the corpse disappeared.
[Your Chimeric Sea Turtle Level 63 Has Died.]
"F—" he stifled the exhalation. Killing the emotions he allowed logic to take its place. The pagan was thousands of times greater than his strongest undead, and without the natural weakness to light inherent in devils the bullets would be as flashlights. Even the Jorogumo had survived the light swords, he had simply used them as a conduit.
Conduit.
The body is the conduit of the soul. They are mirrors reflecting each other. Escaping the bounds of his earthly body he ordered the skeleton to run. To run faster than the wind, it was an impossible task. A suicide mission the loyal soldier committed himself to without a seccond of thought.
He simply ran marginally lighter the second before as the soul fled. Magic leaked from spectral fingers that held them steady with desperate power. First the resurrection now this, he could feel the wrath of the world.
Death is permanent, that is a fact. One only broken by gods, or artifacts created by gods. The Lord created the Sephiroth Graal after all, but ultimately rules are made to be broken. Lines to be crossed when placed on the edge of annihilation.
You can either seek the light or fall in the darkness.
