During the Dark Ages

"Come on let's go." I said to the others that were still staring at the sky. Synthia had already flown off and didn't really seemed too concerned whether they were following or not.

"Wait aren't you even a bit awed, she's an actually living angel." Claire said as she chased after me.

"Yeah, I'm so awed." I said plainly and Claire just looked at me stunned.

"Wait a minute, did you by any chance know she was an angel already?" Tim asked 

"Yep." I replied

"Wait a minute where did she go?" Kirt asked and indeed Synthia had flown away.

"How are we supposed to follow her now?" Tim asked

"Don't worry, just follow me." I said and activated [Aura Vision] and sure enough I saw a golden aura a distance away. We traveled for around and hour and we found our self infront of a large mansion. The mansion was surrounded by a high concrete wall and had a large, black iron gate. The mansion had a fountain in the middle and trimmed hedges, I could sense a few humans inside, around thirty, and Synthia was standing at the gate.

"Welcome to Santuary." Synthia said loudly still in her angel form. 

"So you're the leader of Santuary. I should have guessed." It didn't take a genius to figure it out. Other than her there were only humans inside the camp which means she was the only one able to kill undeads without a gun that is. Any idiot can do that. The others rushed through the gate happy to finally find somewhere safe. I calmly walked through the gate.....

[You have entered a [Holy Territory].]

[Your power has decreased by 50%.]

As soon as I walked through the gate, i felt a burning sensation on my skin and I could see black mist rising off my body. Fuck me. I immediately jumped back through the gate and the mist stop rising off my body but there were burn marks on my body, severe ones but they were healing slowly. Seeing the notifications, I immediately activated [Aura Vision] and can see that the entire mansion was glowing bright gold. How the fuck did I miss that before? The others seemed to notice something was wrong and turned around.

"Colin what's.....what the hell happened? Why is your skin burnt?!" Claire shouted and ran towards me. Tim and Roxy also ran over but the others stayed where they were.

"A demon can't enter a [Holy Territory], sorry?" Synthia said with a playful smirk which pissed me off.

"What?" Claire said confused.

"And you didn't tell me this why?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Must have slipped my mind. Don't worry he'll be fine?" Synthia said to Claire with a smile. 

"But..." Claire said but Synthia cut her off.

"Colin do you have a minute, I need to talk to you in private." She said and started walking away from the mansion. I gritted my teeth, swallowed his pride and followed after her. What he needed the most right now was information and Synthia was currently the only one who can provide it.
