Chapter 196: Chapter 196 Wolves
Everyone could see the Demon miasma enveloping Leia and while the soldiers were a bit frightened even though this have just happened to them, the werewolves were composed as they have seen this many times. Paul bent down and picked up the sword that was dropped by Leia when she was enveloped in a cocoon and nodded his head.
"Duncan, watch Lieutenant Leia and make sure nothing happen. Everyone else, come with me." Paul said and handed the sword to one of the Fiends, who gratefully accepted it. They then left with the rest of the Fiends to go hunting. Duncan, who was left to protect Leia, looked at the corpse of the dead beast longingly but snorted the next second. Werewolves were hunters at heart and didn't really like to eat anything they or their pack didn't hunt, they also had a big appetite for meat and Duncan was honestly getting a bit hungry after smelling the blood of the beast, but he knew he needed to stay and protect the Lieutenant. He could only hope she evolved soon. The sun was rising when Duncan finally heard the sound of the cocoon breaking and he excitedly looked over at the cocoon. The cocoon soon broke apart and dissolved back into black mist, revealing a beautiful, blonde woman with pale skin and glowing red eyes.
"Lieutenant, you look great." Duncan complimented and Leia blushed a bit
"Where are the others?" She asked
"They went ahead to continue the hunt." Duncan replied and Leia nodded her head
'They must have taken Colin's sword with them.' Leia thought
"If you don't mind lieutenant, I'm going for a walk, staying in one place for so long isn't good for a werewolf. You should head back to the hotel for now." Duncan said and Leia nodded her head. Since they weren't too deep in the forest, Duncan was able to use [Aura Vision] as well as his advance senses to make sure she reached the city safely, before giving a loud sigh. Black mist then enveloped his body and soon, a grey furred werewolf wearing ripped up clothes was revealed. He then gave a loud, gleeful howl before racing swiftly through the forest on all fours. He used his senses to look for prey, and soon found a tier 3 lion hunting it's own prey in the forest, Duncan gave another loud howl, scaring away the deer the lion was stalking, before turning towards it.
The lion angrily roared and looked over at Duncan with fiercely glowing eyes and charged fearlessly at him. The two beasts clashed fiercely against each other, dadding new wounds to each others body, causing Duncan to give it a wolfish grin. Unluckily for the lion, werewolves healed faster than most beasts and demons, causing Duncan's wounds to heal up almost as fast as he was receiving them. Duncan slashed his sharp claws into the side of the lion, causing it to be sent flying and bleed heavily from it's side. The lion shakily got to it's feet, and both of them knew it had lost the fight, so without delaying the inevitable any further, Duncan lunged at the lion and bit into it's neck, killing it. Duncan howled loudly once more before savagely tearing apart the flesh of the beast and devouring it.

Paul had managed to get all the Fiends to start the evolution process and the werewolves were currently guarding them while they evolved. They could hear howls from their fellow werewolves echoing inside the forest and he could feel an itch, the 'call of the wild' as he liked to call it, and he had no doubt the other stationary werewolves were feeling it as well. As the hours past, the cocoons broke open and revealed the newly evolved demons, some of them could still pass for human while others had clear non human features.
"Alright everyone, let's head back to the hotel where I'm sure Colin will be able to answer your questions. Wolves, go have some fun." Paul said, he had decided to take up the responsibility of bringing back the newly evolved demons back to the hotel, allowing the other wolves to go hunting. As soon as they heard what Paul said, the werewolves howled loudly and transformed before racing into the forest. Paul sighed and led the thirty or so tier 2s back to the city, he left them at the edge of the city before turning back and joining his pack in their hunt.
