Chapter 300 Twisted sisters
Nika didn't miss a second of Luna's ominous transformation. In fact, she was aware of the whole battlefield as her trait allowed her to sense the shadows movements, but she was in such a shocked state she couldn't participate fully in the battle.
Her cute little Luna had somehow turned into a monster and something in her gut told her that it wasn't her trait. The strange presence emitted from the creature was much more similar to a cryptid than to a human being and it terrified her.
In the end, it fell upon Miss Dragonfang to take control of the situation after she blocked an incoming attack Nika would not have dodged. It was only thanks to the fact that hybrids did not possess an FOD that the UV lights worked properly, which allowed the Dungeon Raiders to quickly take out all the enemy vampires except for Mark.
"Are you ok, ma'am?" Although Miss Dragonfang was older than Nika, she still addressed her boss with the same respect she would have offered to he superiors in the army .
"Huh, I..." Nika was still gaping at the sight of Luna when she saw Cassandra lashing at her sister with a powerful fist which the werewolf replied in kind. Nika was dumbfounded, she didn't know who to root for anymore.
On one hand, Luna had always been her favorite, her petite size and cute face made her want to hold her in her arms all day, but the creature in front of her was beyond horrifying and she felt as though she should root for Cassandra.

Even if she didn't know much about Cassandra, at least she looked more like a human and even if she was on the enemy's side, Nika would rather fight her than the imposing cryptid that was now brutishly clashing against the heavenly rank Colonel Sword.
"Miss Nika, what should we do?" Dragonfang insisted.
Nika looked at her, she too looked like a crypitd with a reptilian tongue and vertical pupils and she flinched for a second. But even if Dragonfang's shapeshifted body was anything but human, it didn't hold the same presence Luna did.
"I don't know... I don't know what to do."
It was then, a flash of light erupted at a distance and all the hunters dispersed to escape from the fireball Mark hurled towards Uriel.
"This is bad, we're not supposed to be here. We need to go back to the city, right now."
"We can't abandon the Magnum kid!" Charlie argued, but Nika was in no mood to discuss.
"He's not a kid, he really is Raider... We made the rumor about Raider so he could have a normal life on campus, but I don't think that will be possible anymore."
"He... he really is?"
Everyone directed their gaze at the archaeologist student they thought to be on the lowest position in their company and there he stood, completely unharmed after receiving the brunt of a skill that would have killed even a heavenly rank in a single shot.
"Yes, he'll be fine but that doesn't apply to us. We need to go back to the city now!"
"What if he needs our help? What if he needs medical attention after the fight?" The leader of the Armstrong men asked.
"He's not that good of a fighter and has the shittiest aim I've ever seen, but no matter what he'll always be the last one standing." Nika said as he trusted Uriel to survive in spite of the difference in power.
And so, the rest of the dungeon Raiders abandoned the scene where with a werewolf and a demi human were engaged in a fight on one side and on the other a vampire and a human possessed by an ancient being of untold power faced each other.
The beastly figure of the werewolf took full on all of Cassandra's attacks and replied in kind, but because of her size comparison dodging wasn't an issue for her. As a werewolf, Luna was fast and strong, but even though she looked fierce and wild she was clearly pulling her punches.
Contrary to Luna whose regeneration ability matched that of a cryptid while she was on her werewolf form, Cassandra couldn't recover as fast from her wounds and if Luna went too far she could kill her in a single movement. This proved to be a huge disadvantage for Luna, as Cassandra was giving it her all without taking into consideration Luna's safety or hers.
One moment Cassandra was clawing at the werewolf with her overgrown nails, then the next she was kicking her from the side. It was clear that she was fighting smart as she made the most of her advantage in size and human form, but her eyes remained devoid of all emotion and it was as though she acted out of instinct.
Luna did her best to catch Cassandra up by turning on her heels, but her opponent's constant movement and the pain from the many shallow wounds she was receiving caused Luna's enhanced senses to quickly overwhelm her.
Casandra took the chance to punch her as fast as she could in the abdomen and the hulking figure of the werewolf took a few steps back discombobulated and dizzy as its size diminished to that of Cassandra, and then some more until she came back to her original form.
Luna spat a mouthful of blood as she looked at her sister with teary eyes, yet still letting out a beastly low growl not even Luna knew she could perform, but Cassandra paid no mind to her and continued her onslaught.
The tiny huntress was battered beyond recognition, but before Cassandra could deal the finishing blow she heard a voice calling her. It was a voice that from the minute the collar was placed on her neck she couldn't possibly ignore, it was the voice of her master.
Without so much as batting an eye, Cassandra turned her back on her sister who was on the verge of dying.
