Chapter 135: Consequences of Going Beyond

After saying goodbye to Alice, he left Poise City.

This city was just his starting point. Now, his destination was growing larger, spreading farther away.

Bellezza!

This dimension was unique for its visitors, who mostly consisted of Lightning Element and Swordsmanship.

According to its Omega, only lightning and swordsmanship could make cultivators look handsome with their moves.

After all, cultivators mostly had one job.

Fight!

Omega wanted the fight to be most dazzling at every point of the battle. To do this, he even helped put a legacy in his dimension.

These two legacies were also put into the same place.

Omega wanted to see if one could truly bring out the full potential of handsome through these two legacies.

That's also why nobody had ever been able to get the legacy.

He was quite curious about how the legacy was earned. Would it be similar to challenges from the Ember Hall?

Or, would it be completely different? His curiosity was making him run faster.

Covering almost a hundred miles in less than ten minutes.

He was moving with such anticipation that he even used his lightning element to boost his speed.

[Lightning Overdrive]

This elemental art improved his speed by at least five times.

But, this was also the case where he would have been putting too much pressure on his legs and spiritual energy reserve.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

With his healing abilities and massive spiritual energy reserve in the spiritual seal, he had nothing to worry about while moving.

"Grrr!"

While he was running, he heard a purr coming from the side. Tyler noticed something was different.

A creature suddenly jumped in front of him and blocked his path.

It was a five-meter-tall tiger with massive flaming nails, two tails, and fierce red eyes.

"Human, you are crossing my land. So, become my dinner!"

Without wasting any more breath, the tiger jumped towards Tyler and slammed its claws down.

The flaming claw released an intense heat as it rained down.

"Sorry, but I'm in a hurry!"

Tyler apologized before pulling out his sword.

The tiger didn't seem to hear his words because when it realized that the human was saying something, it found its body lying in front of the human.

"I'm dead?"

Tyler shook his head as he placed the sword back in the sheath and muttered.

"It's just an E-Rank Monster. A Low-Level E-Rank. Tsk! It should be comparable to Foundation Establishment Realm, right?"

Shaking his head, he left.

He didn't even collect that corpse, even though it could be used to earn some money.

In less than two months of his cultivation, Tyler had gone through too many things.

Compared to the time when he killed a Low-Level F-Rank Monster, this looked no different.

Except it was E-Rank, but its difficulty was the same.

Unlike humans, monsters were divided by rank.

Starting from F-Rank, there was E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and S-Rank.

S-Rank was comparable to a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator, while F-Rank was comparable to an Energy Refinement Realm.

Each rank had a certain comparable realm, but unlike having nine different stages, monsters only had three.

Low, Middle, and High!

This wasn't random either. Their cultivation stage was based on the level of transformation they had gone through in a certain realm.

Unlike humans, monsters evolved without a cultivation technique.

Their cultivation was improved by transforming their bloodline, which would in turn improve their physical strength.

Twin-Tail Red Tiger!

It was a breed of Tiger Race that had two tails and the fire element. But the mutation, like a second tail, would only appear in the second generation of this race.

On the other hand, their bloodline also had the fire element and incredible control over it.

Bloodline had been unique, but not new concepts for the people of the Earth.

After all, bloodlines were considered the reason why there were genetic similarities between parents and children.

But, upon unlocking the true bloodline, they realized that the bloodline was one aspect of the gene that wouldn't change, no matter how many generations it passed through.

It would always remain inside a person, and once it was triggered, it could help them awaken the bloodline.

Because of this, there hadn't been any bloodline cultivators on Earth.

It was only about the constitution.

Even if someone did have a bloodline, it would either be a result of a mutation of the constitution or absorbing others' bloodlines.

That's why the corpses of the monster beasts were so sought after. These beasts had awakened and cultivated their bloodline.

Since humanity had succeeded in creating an artificial constitution, transferring bloodline was not a problem.

But there had been some complications. Since those bloodlines retain the genetic codes, they would often change the bloodline inheritor.

In other words, the cultivator would gain an extra bloodline at the cost of losing his humanity.

For humans, that was naturally unacceptable. Except for a few individuals, nobody would even think of doing such a thing.

On the other hand, bloodlines mutated from constitutions were pure. They were a part of their constitution, but created in a different part of the body.

Whether it was constitutions or bloodlines, they all had a source. Constitution's source was hidden within blood itself.

That meant if there was enough reaction from the constitution, it would start spreading its influence to the bloodline.

Slowly, changing the genetics to the right proportion so that the change wouldn't make humans any different, but still give them enough benefits.

This kind of change could occur from various things like cultivation technique, cultivation realm, or even understanding of the Law.

That's why there were many Sword Bloodline, Fire Bloodline, Water Bloodline, and even concept bloodlines like Destiny and Karma.

These couldn't be found on Earth.

If Miao had a child one day, his child would awaken the Destruction Bloodline.

Although he wasn't aware of the full capacity of his destructive power, he had some idea, especially after seeing Miao's current strength.

With the help of enough energy crystals, he had managed to acquire a level of strength that could rival his and even surpass him with rather ease.

This was due to his Destruction Law.

According to Miao, he could produce Destruction Energy that could obliterate anything in its path, including souls.

In other words, unless he had something that could block the power of Destruction Law, he would die immediately.

But using Destruction Energy would also take a lot of toll on him.

Just like how a small fraction of Slaughter Law was able to completely strip off his lifespan in just a few minutes.

Despite being a cultivator, he was still a mortal, a spiritual mortal, but mortal nonetheless.

That's why he hadn't tried learning those three techniques stored in the back of his mind.

Great Reincarnation Technique, Karma Summoning Technique, and Great Destiny Technique.

These three techniques deal with the Supreme Law. Comprehending these techniques would alleviate his strength above most mortals.

But, he couldn't do it. Because upon comprehending these techniques, he would be forced to bear the burden of these techniques.

For example, the Great Reincarnation Technique was a powerful cultivation technique that would help him go through thousands of reincarnations in a fraction of a day.

During those reincarnations, he would be able to comprehend several different Laws and even improve his cultivation by absorbing energy from those reincarnations.

But could he truly bear the burden of those reincarnations?

The answer was no.

According to Miao, if he attempted to pass through a single reincarnation, he would fall so deeply that he wouldn't be able to wake up for years, if not decades.

Not only that, he would also be living the same reincarnation again and again, and again.

This would not only break his spirit but also put him in a loop from which he couldn't escape.

These conditions were so harsh that only with enough information about the Law and a certain cultivation would he be able to comprehend this technique

This was just one technique.

Karma Summoning Technique was a technique that would cause and effects of other people to himself or even transfer it.

If a person had offended someone, one could easily change the perception of people who knew about the incident by summoning karma to the user.

That meant the person wouldn't be blamed for what he did.

Instead, the user would take all the blame. On top of bearing the negative karma that emerged from summoning others' Karma.

Negative Karma could break one's luck, destroy one's future, and even cause an immediate death if it wasn't balanced with positive karma.

A person could create positive Karma through their strength. The higher his strength, the more positive Karma one could produce.

Because a single decision from that person would have more impact on the world than just a random person.

So, even if someone had a massive positive person, if they used this technique pretty early, they would destroy their positive karma and be forced to live a miserable life.

Until Death claimed them!
