Chapter 24: The Finals
"You incompetent fool. How did you manage to lose with a conjured soul stone from me? You had one job..." Xianimous's voice was low, seething with disappointment. Nathan bowed his head in shame, his body trembling, knowing the weight of his father's words. The tension in the room was suffocating.
But then, with an eerie calm, Xianimous continued, "But... as you are my son, I will forgive you." He paused, his eyes narrowing. "Forget this fight, Nathan. This matter is far beyond you now, you are young and have much to learn. Ryuichi must die. It is too late for him. His fate is sealed."
Nathan's heart skipped a beat. He had failed his father, but at least he father would now eliminate his enemy. "Thank you, Father. I understand," Nathan replied, his voice shaky.
"I want you to be my eyes, Nathan," Xianimous said, his tone dark, dripping with malevolence. "Love cannot be forced, but a will can be broken. Niyane must not be in love with a living soul. Her heart must shatter for us to control her mind and marry you."
"But how can we do that without her father, the Elden Mage, knowing?" Nathan asked, unsure of his next move.
"Her father will know if Ryuichi interferes, the energy will show an anomalies, but in chaos things are different. Once Ryuichi is dead, her heart will break and when her heart is shattered, even her father's magic will not see the control I will have over her because of the chaos in her life" Xianimous said with a chilling certainty.
Nathan swallowed hard. "I understand. I will be your eyes, Father. I will follow him... and I will watch her crumble."
Xianimous gave a cold smile. "Good. Now go. Watch carefully. His end will be our beginning."

"WoW, ho ho, pulling out the big guns, aren't you? You're a celebrity now!" Ryuichi teased as MorTyous received a notification.
MorTyous quickly checked his messages, and a smile spread across his face. "I'm so proud of you, son," the message read. It was from his father.
"Thank you, Dad," MorTyous responded, his voice filled with pride.
"You're so much like me, son. We worked hard on this one, didn't we? See, all those days of training paid off."
"Definitely, Dad," MorTyous replied, thinking back on all the rigorous days and nights of practice.
"I hope to see you raid the Forgotten Vault with me. It'd be great to have you there by my side, along with your mother, I could teach you in real life situation, also with Kurogane, the son of a old friend, I hope to see his father in him. Tell him I want him to come for dinner after the tournament."
"I will, Dad," MorTyous said, closing the message.
He turned to Ryuichi, slightly hesitant. "Hey, that was my dad. He wants us to go eat after the tournament. He'd like to meet you."
Ryuichi forced a smile, though inwardly, old feelings stirred. "Sure, it would be nice" he said, though he couldn't shake the bitterness. Where were they when he was growing up on the streets, alone, while they enjoyed their fame and fortune?
"You don't understand them," the celestial spirit's voice chimed in. "They're celebrities. They couldn't just speak to you. Please don't make a scene"
Well the other battle just finished, the finals are coming up, looks like we are fighting a paladin and a hunter.
MorTyous frowned as he looked over the event page, noting the gear of their next opponents. "Luck's not on our side this time," he muttered to Ryuichi. "Look at their gear—they're fully decked out in epic level 30 battlefield gear. And by the look of things, the hunter is spec for sniper and beastmastery, while the paladin seems to be a mixed healing spec."
"I wouldn't doubt that this duo is a PvP team, training for battlegrounds. They've likely trained for these scenarios" MorTyous continued. "According to their profile. The hunter has a Master Certificate in BeastMastery and is a elite Sniper. As for the Paly—he's holy with strong defense and judgment abilities"
"So, what's the plan?" Ryuichi asked, his tone serious as he looked at MorTyous.
"Not sure yet," MorTyous replied, his eyes scanning through more details. "But what I can confirm is that they're experienced—real pros. They finished 5th in the 2v2 arena teams this year. Both are part of HeadShot Guild, a PvP-focused guild with a solid reputation. They've trained specifically for battlegrounds, and their teamwork is top-notch."
Ryuichi nodded, listening carefully.
"They're linked with Dragon of Times, and right now, their guild are camping the portal for the Forgotten Vaults with us. They're blocking out any guilds from outside Noviak who'd dare to make a move to claim the portal before us, we have about 1000 man there."
"If we're going to win this, we can't just play by their rules. They've been doing this for a while. We need a plan that disrupts their synergy. Maybe something to separate the hunter from the paladin, or force them to burn early."
"Can you see his pet?" Ryuichi asked.
"Yeah" MorTyous replied. "According to the event page he has register a Sabertooth and a Giant Cobra with him. Both of them are elite-tier pets. It takes a lot of skill to tame those at his level, this show that they are not amateur."
The spirit then interrupted his chain of thought. "Alright, Tell your friend that he really needs to watch out for that Serene Spell. The paladin will most likely keep him from using spells with it. While they both team up on you, you'll need to stay hidden."
"They'll try to taunt you out, but don't take the bait. You need to keep disrupting the paladin, force him to use his resources, because if he gets free rein, it'll make this fight much harder. The hunter won't want to engage MorTyous directly because that would let you time to disrupt Serene, which works in his favor. When the dome starts to shrink, that's when you put on the pressure."
"And remember," the spirit added, "when you see them slipping or trolling around, that's your signal. Wait for an opening. Knock out the paladin first, then take care of the hunter"
After having told MorTyous everything that the spirit had told him, MorTyous grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Sounds like a plan. Let's give them hell."
The dice then rolled again to land on a volcano landscape.
The countdown ticked down.
3... 2... 1...
The tension was thick, and the air around the volcano crackled with heat. Mortyous grinned, locking eyes with their adversaries— the paladin and hunter. It was clear that this would be an intense battle.
Ryuichi, as planned, vanished into the shadows, activating Stealth and disappearing from sight.
Mortyous wasted no time, slamming his staff into the volcanic ground, summoning a Protection Totem infused with the fiery power of the surrounding lava. The flames seemed to swirl around the totem, forming a shield that pulsed with immense strength. He was just quick enough to raise it before the paladin could cast Serene, which would have rendered any magic ineffective.
The paladin and hunter exchanged a glance, their confidence faltering slightly.
"They're not amateurs like we thought... We might've screwed up letting him put that down" muttered the paladin.
"Think they can pull that off?" the hunter asked, narrowing his eyes.
The paladin grunted. "Let's try to taunt the rogue. He will have to come out eventually, and then we'll take him down. They aren't on any 2v2 listings, so they have to be noobs."
With a flick of his wrist, the hunter sent both his pets—a massive sabretooth and a giant cobra—charging at the shaman. Arrows flew from his magical rifle, aimed straight at Mortyous. But thanks to the volcanic energy amplifying the protection totem, the shield absorbed the attacks with ease, deflecting the arrows and even harming the beasts that dared get too close. Seeing that, the hunter quickly recalled his pets.
"Are you just gonna hide all match?!" the hunter yelled, hoping to lure Ryuichi out of hiding. "Show yourself, coward!"
The timer was ticking relentlessly. 1 minute, 50 seconds left, and they were running out of time. Desperate, the paladin began channeling a powerful spell, Divine Judgment, aiming to obliterate Mortyous' totem.
The ground trembled as the power gathered around him, and just as the paladin's spell began to form, the hunter activated Eye of the Tiger—meant to detect stealth and expose Ryuichi.
But Ryuichi was already one step ahead. In a split second, he darted from the shadows and struck the paladin hard, his daggers slashing across his armor. The paladin stumbled, caught off guard. THUD! Ryuichi knocked the paladin out.
"NOW!" yelled Ryuichi.
But before Ryuichi could use Shadow Stich, the hunter fired off a shot. ZING! The bullet found its mark in Ryuichi's right leg. Pain shot through his body as his health bar dropped to half. He clenched his teeth, activated Spectral Walk, and vanished again into the smoke of the volcano.
The paladin, enraged, got to his feet and tried casting Serene once more to neutralize Mortyous' spells, but the shaman was already prepared.
BOOM!
A massive bolt of dark elemental lightning slammed into the paladin's shield. The force of the impact sent the paladin crashing to the ground, his armor smoking.
"Show yourself, you stupid rogue! I'll feed you to my pets!" the hunter screamed in frustration, his voice echoing across the shrinking battlefield.
The walls of the dome were closing in rapidly, and there was only 1 minute left in the fight. The heat from the lava pits was becoming unbearable, and the pressure was mounting with every passing second.
MorTyous, eyes locked in concentration, began summoning the Hellstorm Totems, drawing power from the volcano beneath them. The ground trembled under the intensity of the magic he was channeling, and the air crackled with dark energy. The volcano's fiery buff surged into the totem, amplifying its destructive power.
"STOP THE SHAMAN!" the paladin yelled in panic, his voice frantic as he turned to the hunter. Without hesitation, the hunter pulled out his rifle, to fire rapidly at MorTyous, while simultaneously sending his pets— the sabertooth and giant cobra—rushing toward him.
The ground shook as the massive beasts closed in, but Ryuichi wasn't about to let them reach MorTyous. In the blink of an eye, he leapt from the shadows, striking the hunter with precision. The hunter stumbled, forced to dodge Ryuichi's swift attacks, his rifle wavering as he tried to regain control.
"GET OFF ME!" the hunter bellowed, trying to aim his weapon at Ryuichi while commanding his pets to continue their assault.
But it was too late. Just as the sabretooth lunged, jaws wide, aiming for MorTyous's throat and the paladin was getting in range to cast Serene on him, the Black Totem unleashed its fury.
BOOM!
A torrent of volcanic fire and lightning exploded from the totem, engulfing the battlefield in a storm of destruction. The sabertooth was caught mid-air, its body incinerated by the fiery blast, while the cobra disintegrated into ashes before it could even hiss.
The paladin, who had been sprinting toward MorTyous, was thrown back by the sheer force of the explosion, his shield cracking under the intensity. He slammed into the volcano, his health rapidly depleting..
The hunter, wide-eyed and in shock, barely had time to react before a bolt of dark lightning struck him directly in the chest. His armor, already weakened by the constant barrage, shattered into pieces, dissolving into electrical sparks as it was sucked into his belt. He let out a strangled cry, collapsing to the ground, his health bar hitting zero.
The paladin, with his last ounce of strength, attempted one final Divine Judgment against MorTyous, but Ryuichi was already there. In one swift motion, he struck the paladin from behind, landing a critical blow that sent the warrior sprawling into the lava.
Victory.
Ryuichi and MorTyous stood in the center of the battleground, victorious but battered. The dome stopped shrinking, and the intense heat subsided as the volcano's power faded. They had won—barely—but the victory was theirs.
The crowed cheered as the announcer pronounced the victors "Everybody! The winners of the tournements Shadow Requiem!"

Ryuichi walked into his room, drained of all energy after countless after match interview, as he walked in he smelled a pleasant smell. The one of a woman who had washed her self, her shampoo lingered in the room. There, on his bed, was Niyane. She was looking at him with her beautiful blue eyes, dressed in a night robe.
"Come here you, you deserve a massage" she said, undressing him and laying him on the bed. She then took some oil and started massaging him, rubbing her hands on his back, soothing his bulging sore muscles. She rubbed his entire body, to then remove her robe to expose her magnificent breasts on her albino shimmering skin to they then make love all night long.
