Aiden moved like a force of nature, his body a blur as he tore through the underground corridors, each step leaving cracks in the stone beneath his feet. He didn't need directions—his senses honed in on Rogue's presence like a predator stalking prey. Every broken door, every shattered wall in his path was just another obstacle in his way, and none of them stood a chance.

Then, he reached it.

The dungeon was dimly lit, the air thick with dampness and the stench of sweat and blood. Rusted iron bars lined the walls, separating the prisoners from their freedom. Aiden barely glanced at them. His focus locked onto the single, battered figure curled up on the cold floor. His chest tightened.

Rogue.

Or at least, that's what she was supposed to be.

Aiden's eyes narrowed. There was something... off. He didn't hesitate. Reaching out, his fingers dug into the rusted iron bars. With a grunt, he wrenched them apart like they were made of paper, the screeching metal echoing through the chamber. He stepped forward, his boots crunching against the damp stone floor as he loomed over the woman lying there.

For a moment, he said nothing. He just stared. His mind burned with cold, calculated fury. Then, he knelt beside her, his voice calm. Too calm.

"I don't like when people fuck with me," he muttered, his tone void of mercy. "So I'll give you one chance." His hand shot forward, wrapping around her throat with crushing force as he lifted her like a ragdoll, her feet kicking uselessly above the ground.

"Where is the real Rogue?"

Mystique's eyes widened in shock. Her disguise wavered for half a second before her true form flickered into existence. She hadn't expected him to see through the deception. She hadn't even spoken a word. How?

Before she could react, her back slammed into the stone wall with enough force to leave cracks spiderwebbing outward. The impact sent a sharp jolt of pain through her body, and her breath left her lungs in a choked gasp.

Aiden's grip tightened. His crimson eyes burned into hers, his rage a storm barely contained.

"WHERE. IS. SHE?"

A cold voice cut through the tension.

"Right here."

Aiden turned, eyes sharp as daggers, and found himself face-to-face with Magneto and Emma Frost. The two stood at the entrance of the dungeon, unfazed, as if they had been expecting him. But what caught his attention more was what they held—Rogue and Kitty, both unconscious, bound in iron restraints. Rogue's bindings were tight, but Kitty's were different. The metal around her shimmered unnaturally, reinforced by Emma's psychic abilities, keeping her from phasing out.

Magneto's voice was smooth, almost casual. "I trust I don't need to explain the situation to you." His steel-gray eyes locked onto Aiden. "Surrender now, and these girls live. Especially the one on the left." He nodded toward Kitty, his expression unreadable. "Unlike Rogue, she's of no use to me."

Aiden's grip on Mystique tightened, his fingers pressing into her throat as she struggled for air. His mind processed everything quickly. He didn't like this. Something was off.

"The way I see it," he began, his voice low and dangerous, "I have one of yours, and you have one of mine. Rogue is the common ground—we both want her alive. So I say you let her go, and I let Mystique go."

There was a sharp, amused laugh from Emma. She tilted her head, her icy blue eyes filled with mockery.

"You think you have leverage?" she scoffed. "You're outnumbered. Two Omega-level mutants stand before you, and we have two hostages. Besides—" she gestured toward Rogue, her lips curling in amusement "—we already got what we needed from her. Eric is keeping her alive out of sentimentality. Now…" Her voice hardened. "Let Mystique go. Surrender. Or we will rip these girls to shreds. Understood?"

Aiden raised an eyebrow. He was already analyzing her words, picking them apart.

Eric said he needed Rogue. Emma claimed they didn't.

They weren't on the same page.

Emma was bluffing.

And she was doing a shit job of it.

Aiden's gaze flickered to Rogue and Kitty for a split second. Then he sighed. "Fine. Here you go."

Without warning, he hurled Mystique at Emma. The shapeshifter crashed into the telepath, momentarily breaking her concentration. The glow around Kitty's restraints vanished in an instant.

That was all the time she needed.

Kitty phased through the metal bindings and dropped to the ground, vanishing through the floor.

At the same time, Aiden blurred forward, a streak of pure speed. Magneto barely had time to react before Aiden's hand transformed into an earthen blade, infused with the cutting force of both Wind and Earth Dragon Slayer Magic. With a single slash, he shattered the metal restraints holding Rogue and caught her in his arms.

Then he moved.

Just as five iron pillars shot toward him, aiming to cut him off, he twisted his body, dodging them by mere inches before landing on solid ground.

"DAMN IT!" Magneto snarled. "Emma! Find that other brat! I'll handle this arrogant child!"

Emma scowled but nodded. She turned to leave—

And suddenly, a massive wall of fire roared to life, cutting off her escape.

The flames erupted from Aiden's outstretched palm, but he wasn't even looking at her. His eyes were locked onto Rogue, scanning her.

She looked awful.

Her skin was pale, her body thin from malnourishment. Bruises littered her arms, her face, her ribs. And then he saw the needle marks. Dozens of them.

They had been taking her blood. Experimenting on her.

Aiden's stomach twisted with a cold fury he had never felt before.

This was on him. He had let her get captured.

He rose to his feet, his expression unreadable. Magneto wasted no time. With a flick of his wrist, a massive iron column shot toward Aiden at blinding speed.

Aiden opened his mouth—

And ate it.

The metal crunched between his teeth, his jaw moving effortlessly as he consumed most of it, spitting out the useless debris onto the ground. He rolled his shoulders, the Iron Dragon Slayer Magic reinforcing his body.

"You know," he muttered, cracking his neck, "I actually thought about giving you a chance."

Magneto narrowed his eyes. "A chance?"

"Yeah." Aiden exhaled, flames flickering at his fingertips. "Believe it or not, Charles speaks highly of you. So did Callisto."

Magneto's expression darkened. "Callisto… So she was the one who betrayed us. I'll deal with her later."

Aiden ignored the threat. "Everyone says you love mutants. That all this bullshit you pull is for their sake." He motioned toward Rogue. "But I don't see it. What I see is an innocent mutant—an innocent teenager—you tortured, beat, and experimented on. You act like you're some kind of mutant messiah, but you're no better than the humans you hate."

Magneto's face twisted with anger. "You know nothing, boy! This is all for us! We are akin to gods! Why should we be the ones persecuted, the ones hunted like animals? I have seen the future! I have seen what awaits our kind! They will build machines—machines designed to wipe us out, to exterminate us like pests!"

Aiden scoffed. "And did you ever stop to think that maybe you're the reason that future happens?"

Magneto froze.

"All these years," Aiden continued, his voice growing colder, "you've terrorized humans, slaughtered them, made them fear us. And now you're shocked they might retaliate?" He shook his head. "You saw a future where they turned against us. Instead of working to change that future, you made sure it would happen."

Magneto's fists clenched.

"I'm done." Aiden's voice dropped to a deadly whisper. "No more playing nice. No more following orders. No more pretending I'm the kind of person who forgives people like you."

His eyes burned with raw fury.

"You die. Here and now, Eric."

Before Magneto could even react, Aiden was already in motion. His body blurred as a combined Lightning-Fire Dragon Slayer attack ignited in his hands. A massive torrent of crackling blue lightning and roaring flames spiraled toward Magneto, the sheer force of it warping the air around them.

Magneto's eyes widened. The iron bars lining the dungeon shot up, forming a massive defensive barrier. The attack struck, and the entire structure exploded outward in a blinding eruption of heat and electricity. The shockwave blasted Magneto off his feet, hurling him through the dungeon walls, sending him crashing straight into the storage room.

The impact shattered everything.

Inside, metal parts littered the floor—pieces of unfinished Sentinel frames, waiting to be assembled. Magneto barely had time to register his surroundings before he roared in fury.

"YOU DAMN BRAT!"

His arms shot outward, and the metal around him responded instantly. Ten massive, incomplete Sentinels rose into the air, their lifeless metal husks twisting into makeshift weapons.

He hurled them all at Aiden.

Aiden's eyes blazed with fire.

"Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!"

His arms ignited, twin torrents of spiraling flames twisting into the shape of massive blades. The first strike connected with a Sentinel, detonating it in a fiery explosion. Then another. Then another. One after another, the flaming strikes carved through the metal giants, setting off chain reactions of destruction.

The final explosion was massive, engulfing the entire storage room. Magneto barely had time to react before the force of it sent him flying, his body crashing into the ground, smoke trailing from his armor.

His defenses had saved his skin, but the sheer force of the attack had left him scorched and battered.

Aiden exhaled, steam rising from his fists. His crimson gaze locked onto Magneto, filled with nothing but raw, unfiltered rage.

And he was just getting started.
