....

As soon as the battle erupted, Pyro wasted no time, unleashing a massive torrent of fire in Aiden's direction. The flames roared through the air, threatening to consume him, but Aiden didn't flinch. Instead, he took a deep breath and devoured every bit of the fire, absorbing it effortlessly.

Lunging forward with a fist wreathed in flames, Aiden struck at Pyro. But Pyro, reacting quickly, redirected the fire mid-air, dissipating Aiden's attack before blocking a follow-up kick.

"Did you forget?" Pyro sneered, his arms trembling slightly as he struggled to hold Aiden's foot back. "I control fire too!"

Aiden simply smirked. "And did you forget that I'm stronger than you even without my power?"

With a sudden burst of force, Aiden overpowered Pyro's defense, his foot smashing into Pyro's face and sending him stumbling back. Before Pyro could recover, molten lava erupted from the ground in front of Aiden. His eyes flicked to the side—Amara.

In a flash, Aiden disappeared, his speed overwhelming. Amara barely had time to react before he was already in front of her.

"I haven't forgotten about you."

Her eyes widened in shock just as Aiden's electrified fist connected with her stomach.

"Lightning Dragon's Fist!"

The impact sent Amara flying backward, crashing into the cavern wall with a loud thud. Dust and debris fell around her as she groaned in pain.

Before Aiden could move in to finish Amara, a massive shadow loomed over him. Aiden turned, narrowing his eyes as he came face to face with an enormous man—a mountain of flesh and muscle.

Blob.

The massive mutant smirked down at him, his sheer bulk making it seem like he was immovable.

Not wasting a second, Aiden's arm shifted into iron, and he closed the distance in an instant.

"Iron Dragon's Fist!"

His punch struck Blob square in the face with a force that could shatter steel—yet Blob didn't even flinch. Instead, he let out a deep, bellowing laugh.

"Is that all you got, little boy?"

His massive hand swung forward, attempting to grab Aiden in a crushing counterattack, but Aiden was already gone, dodging backward with ease. He exhaled sharply, analyzing his opponent.

"So this is Blob's durability, huh?" Aiden muttered. "Nothing too special."

Then, he grinned.

"You'll have the honor of being the first villain to eat this combo."

Slamming his foot into the ground, the earth beneath Blob rumbled violently. The cavern floor trembled as jagged pillars of rock burst upward, lifting Blob off the ground—a feat that seemed impossible for someone of his size. His eyes widened in surprise as his massive body was forced into the air.

Aiden leaped high above him, his foot turning into solid iron.

"Iron Earth Dragon's Special Move—Rocky Mountain!"

His first kick slammed into Blob's head, launching him even higher. As the initial impact sent Aiden backward from the recoil, two more rock pillars shot out, one smashing into Blob's back and the other into his stomach, anchoring him midair.

Then came the finishing blow.

Aiden twisted his body and dropped like a meteor, his iron-coated fists colliding with Blob's skull. The sheer force sent a shockwave through the cavern, cracks splintering across the rocky terrain.

With a thunderous crash, Blob was planted into the ground, the impact deep enough to bury him into the stone floor. Blood dripped from his nose and ears, his eyes rolling back in his head.

Aiden landed smoothly beside his downed opponent, brushing dust off his shoulder.

That's when he heard it.

A deep, guttural roar.

His gaze snapped toward the reinforced metal doors at the far end of the cavern—the very ones he was supposed to breach.

With a deafening BOOM, the doors were obliterated, chunks of metal flying in all directions as an unstoppable force emerged from the darkness.

A massive figure stepped through, breathing heavily, rage pouring off of him in waves.

Aiden recognized him immediately.

"AIDEN BLAKE! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

The voice was like an earthquake, filled with pure, unbridled fury.

Juggernaut had arrived.

.....

Meanwhile, Shadowcat had already phased through the iron doors, slipping into the depths of the base undetected. She moved swiftly, pressing herself against the cold metal walls as she advanced.

Suddenly, the entire cavern seemed to shake as she caught sight of a towering figure charging forward.

Juggernaut.

Kitty's breath hitched as she instinctively phased downward, sinking beneath the rocky floor just in time to avoid being trampled. His thundering footsteps roared above her before fading into the chaos outside.

"Whew… I really hope they can handle him," she muttered under her breath.

Shaking off her nerves, she focused. Mission first.

She pressed forward, her surroundings dimly lit by the flickering overhead lights. As she moved deeper into the base, she found herself in front of a long hallway filled with heavy steel doors.

Kitty frowned.

I'll have to check them one by one.

Carefully, she phased through each room. Some contained high-tech equipment—computer terminals, scientific instruments, and strange machinery humming with energy. The deeper she went, the clearer it became: this was a laboratory.

But for what?

Her stomach twisted as she continued. She had a bad feeling about this.

Then, she stepped into the last room at the end of the hall—and her breath caught in her throat.

It was massive, as large as the battlefield where the others were fighting, but instead of an open space, it was filled from floor to ceiling with machines.

But not just any machines.

Towering metal giants, humanoid in shape, standing in eerie stillness.

Her blood ran cold.

"Oh my god…" she whispered, eyes wide in horror. "These are… These are the Sentinels."

Rows upon rows of them stood in silence, their lifeless forms stretching endlessly into the shadows. Even deactivated, their sheer size and design sent shivers down her spine.

Each one stood over twenty feet tall, with reinforced metal plating designed to withstand even the most powerful mutant attacks. Their bodies were humanoid, but their heads were smooth, featureless domes with a singular glowing visor where eyes should have been. Their shoulders were broad, their arms bulky and segmented like industrial machinery.

Sentinels. The nightmare of every mutant.

"There are too many of them…" she whispered, her pulse quickening.

Before she could process what to do, the door behind her slid open.

Kitty gasped, immediately phasing into the nearest wall, keeping only her face exposed to see what was happening.

Two figures entered.

Magneto, clad in his signature crimson and purple armor, walked forward with an air of absolute authority. Behind him, Emma Frost followed, her white attire pristine against the metallic surroundings.

Magneto's sharp gaze scanned the room before he turned to Emma.

"Will one be enough?" he asked.

Emma smirked. "For now, it should be. I don't see that meathead winning the battle, and we need more time to create these."

Magneto gave a slow nod, then raised a hand toward a control panel, pressing a large red button.

A low mechanical hum filled the air.

The Sentinels remained still for a moment—then, one of them awoke.

The machine's towering frame shuddered as it powered on, its massive limbs coming to life. A deep, robotic voice echoed through the chamber:

"Unit 001—Activated."

Its visor flared to life, glowing an ominous red as it locked into Ready Mode.

Magneto studied the machine with a look of satisfaction before issuing his first command.

"How many mutants are in this room?"

The Sentinel's head tilted slightly as its scanner activated, sweeping across the chamber. A chilling mechanical voice responded:

"There are three mutants:

—Command Alpha: Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.

—Command Beta: Emma Frost.

—Unknown Entity: Recognized as Mutant."

Magneto's expression darkened instantly. His gaze sharpened as he slowly turned his head, scanning the room himself.

He saw no one.

Emma frowned, placing a hand on her hip. "Is it malfunctioning?"

Kitty's breath hitched. She pressed herself deeper into the wall, suppressing a shiver.

No way… It detected me even though I'm phased?

Her heart pounded. She had to move—now.

Without hesitation, she pulled her head back into the wall and sprinted away as quietly as possible, phasing through storage crates and machinery to avoid detection.

Magneto narrowed his eyes, suspicion creeping into his expression.

"Scan again, Sentinel 001."

The Sentinel's visor glowed brighter as it swept the room once more.

"There are two mutants:

—Command Alpha: Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.

—Command Beta: Emma Frost."

Magneto's gaze lingered on the space where the unknown mutant had been detected.

Something wasn't right.

Emma tilted her head. "That's odd. First it detects an unknown mutant, and now it doesn't? Strange, don't you think?"

Magneto didn't respond immediately. His instincts told him that this wasn't just a simple error.

He remained silent, but deep down, he knew.

Someone else is here.
