Juggernaut let out a roar that shook the forest, slamming his fists together. "I'll crush you into dust!"
As Juggernaut barreled toward him again, Aiden used his wind magic to dash to the side, moving faster than the human eye could follow. He struck Juggernaut's wounded leg with a spinning kick, the iron encasing his foot shattering part of the ground beneath them.
Juggernaut bellowed in pain, staggering slightly, but his sheer size and strength made it impossible to bring him down entirely. Aiden pressed on, channeling his fury into his attacks.
"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Aiden inhaled deeply, then unleashed a concentrated cyclone of wind from his mouth. The attack hit Juggernaut squarely, forcing him to halt his advance.
"Is that all you've got?!" Juggernaut yelled, planting his feet and pushing through the gale.
Aiden's frustration mounted. His strikes, his strongest spells, they were landing—but Juggernaut wasn't falling. He was an immovable wall, and Aiden could feel his strength waning. His breaths came faster, his vision blurring slightly from exhaustion.
As Aiden prepared another attack, Juggernaut closed the gap between them with terrifying speed. A massive fist swung toward him like a wrecking ball, too fast for Aiden to dodge.
The punch connected, sending Aiden hurtling through the air. He crashed into the ground, the impact carving a deep trench in the dirt. His body ached, but he forced himself to rise, his eyes blazing with defiance.
"You're tough, kid," Juggernaut said, walking toward him slowly, his shadow stretching over the battlefield. "But not tough enough."
Juggernaut moved quick to punch Aiden, as Aiden stood, the winds around him swirling protectively, his fists clenched. This wasn't over. Not yet.
Before the strike could connect, Piotr stepped in with a defiant roar, crossing his arms and blocking the incoming punch.
"Oh? You're still fighting?" Juggernaut sneered, his tone dripping with condescension.
Piotr gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he managed to push back against the overwhelming force. "Get up, Aiden!" he yelled, sweat trickling down his face.
Using Piotr as a distraction, Aiden forced himself to his feet, every movement an effort against his bruised and battered body. With a surge of wind magic propelling him upward, he leaped into the air and delivered a powerful kick, his iron-coated foot slamming into Juggernaut's helmet. The strike reverberated through the battlefield, forcing Juggernaut to stagger back.
The momentary opening allowed Piotr to charge forward, his fists hammering Juggernaut's gut in a relentless barrage of punches. The metallic clang of his blows echoed as each strike landed with everything he had left.
"Now!" Piotr shouted, his voice raw with exertion.
Aiden summoned a fiery surge of energy, his magic shifting into a blazing inferno. "Fire Dragon's Claw!" he roared, launching his flaming attack toward Juggernaut's face. The fireball exploded upon impact, engulfing Juggernaut in flames and forcing him to stumble back several steps.
Juggernaut swatted at the flames on his face as he roared in anger. His helmet was scorched, the edges glowing faintly from the intense heat. He glared at the two battered fighters with unbridled fury.
"Thanks, Piotr," Aiden said, his breath labored as he steadied himself.
Piotr nodded grimly, his voice steady despite the obvious toll the battle was taking on him. "We need to work together. Until Logan gets back, we're not doing any real damage."
Juggernaut rose to his full height, his expression now twisted into a mask of rage. "Alright," he growled, his voice shaking the earth, "you two little shits have officially gotten on my last fucking nerve. No more games. This won't end with injuries anymore. I'm killing you."
The air around them seemed to grow heavier as Juggernaut moved, faster and more aggressive than before. Aiden and Piotr split up, trying to enact a strategy of covering one another and striking at openings.
But Juggernaut's next move was beyond anything they expected. He surged toward Piotr, his fist barreling forward with unrelenting force. Piotr crossed his arms, his iron-coated skin bracing for impact.
The punch connected.
A deafening crack echoed as Piotr's iron skin shattered like glass, revealing his human flesh beneath. Both of his arms twisted unnaturally, broken instantly by the sheer force of the blow. Piotr screamed in agony, collapsing to his knees as his hands hung useless at his sides.
"Piotr!" Aiden shouted, his voice cracking with panic. Without hesitation, he launched himself at Juggernaut, his leg transforming once more into a Sky Iron Dragon's Lance. He aimed for Juggernaut's chest, hoping to create a moment of reprieve for his injured teammate.
But Juggernaut caught Aiden's leg mid-air with terrifying ease, his massive hand clamping down like a vice. With a guttural growl, he slammed Aiden into the ground face-first, the impact sending a shockwave through the battlefield.
Again.
And again.
Each slam was more brutal than the last, leaving Aiden's limp body sprawled in a crater of dirt and debris. Blood trickled from his forehead as he struggled to stay conscious, the world around him spinning.
Juggernaut raised his foot, aiming to end Aiden's life with a final, crushing stomp.
But Piotr, broken and beaten, refused to give up. With a final surge of willpower, he tackled Juggernaut from the side, throwing everything he had left into the desperate act.
It was futile.
Juggernaut barely moved an inch. He grabbed Piotr by the throat, lifting him effortlessly off the ground. Piotr's iron skin tried to reform, cracks spreading like spiderwebs as Juggernaut's grip tightened.
Aiden, barely conscious, watched in horror as Juggernaut's monstrous strength overwhelmed his friend. "No… Piotr…" he croaked, his voice barely audible.
With a sickening snap, Juggernaut broke Piotr's neck.
The lifeless body of Colossus crumpled to the ground, his iron skin vanishing completely. Juggernaut looked down at the fallen mutant, his sneer twisted into one of cruel satisfaction
"One down," Juggernaut said coldly, turning his gaze back to the broken form of Aiden. "Your turn, kid."
