Dragon Roar Master at Hogwarts
Chapter 184: The Marauder's Map and Draco Malfoy
Ron and Hermione looked at each other, as if they had just discovered this problem.
And according to what they said, Harry should have been wearing an invisibility cloak to eavesdrop. In this case, he should have remained invisible when he was petrified.
"Could it be that Malfoy guy who took it away?" Ron said angrily: "That guy not only attacked Harry, but also took away his father's belongings... what a bastard."
Dudley pondered for a moment. Although Malfoy was a prickly brat, Dudley still didn't think he had the guts to open the secret room and release the basilisk.
Madam Pomfrey soon arrived to shoo them away, surrounding Harry's hospital bed with thick curtains, saying that Harry would be restored to his original state once the mandrakes matured.
"Let's go find Malfoy!" Ron said through gritted teeth: "We must avenge Harry and get the Invisibility Cloak back!"
"Don't be stupid, I have to take you back to Gryffindor Tower." Dudley said to Ron and Hermione: "Bring the small mirror with you. We will look in the mirror when we pass the corner like Harry did."
The journey was uneventful, and Dudley sent the two of them to the portrait of the Fat Lady in Gryffindor Tower. When Ron said the password, the passage behind the portrait slowly opened.
"Ron, please call George or Fred for me." Dudley whispered to Ron: "I have something to ask them."
After a while, the twin brothers came out. Their faces were gloomy, and it seemed that they were no longer in the mood to joke because Harry was attacked.
"I want to borrow something from you." Dudley said slowly: "A certain piece of parchment that you stole from the administrator's office..."
George and Fred looked at each other, and then George took out a rolled piece of parchment from his arms.
"When Ron said you were looking for us, I guessed that you might want to borrow this thing."
"I wonder where you knew we had this, and do you know how to use it?"
Dudley nodded, took the parchment from George's hand, and unfolded it gently. It was blank and contained nothing.
But Dudley took out his wand from his arms, tapped it lightly on the parchment, and murmured in a low voice:
"I solemnly swear that I have done nothing good."
Spider-like ink traces started from the location where Dudley's wand touched and spread to the entire parchment. The small ink lines gradually formed a dense map.
At the same time, a line of large green characters appeared directly above the parchment.
"Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, purveyors of magical mischief-makers' aids, proudly present the Marauder's Map."
Ink dots still appear densely on the Marauder's Map, and each ink dot has a small name next to it, but now most of the ink dots are distributed in the dormitories of the four colleges.
Because of this, Dudley easily found his target on the relatively empty castle map.
"The prank is over!"
Dudley tapped it lightly with his wand, and the Marauder's Map turned into ordinary parchment again.
"Thank you very much, George, Fred." Dudley wanted to hand the parchment back to the twin brothers, but both George and Fred shook their heads and did not take it.
"I'll give you this Marauder's Map. Anyway, we stole it from Filch, so we don't count its real owner."
"But after you find Malfoy, you have to help me punch his handsome face...Forget it, let me do it myself. This kind of good thing cannot come cheap to you."
After saying goodbye to the Weasley twins, Dudley went to the place he saw on the Marauder's Map, which was a corridor on the first floor.
It was an empty corridor, not a soul in sight. But Dudley did not open the Marauder's Map again to confirm, but walked along the wall.
Suddenly, Dudley staggered and almost tripped over something. But there was nothing in front of him, even though his feet felt like they had kicked something.
Hearing the faint sound of rustling, Dudley did not hesitate and decisively grabbed the air below him with one hand.
There was a silky, cold feeling on his hand. When Dudley put away his hand, a trembling boy squatting in the corner appeared in front of him, his pale face full of fear and tears, and his eyes were tight. Closed for life and dare not open.
"Draco Malfoy, don't worry, there is no basilisk watching you now." Dudley grabbed Malfoy's collar, lifted him up and pressed him against the wall: "Tell me the whole story later. Well, based on what you said, I will consider whether I need to beat you up."
Worried that Lucius Malfoy would discover him if he stayed in the corridor for too long, Dudley took Draco's arm and dragged him to the study room not far away. Draco Malfoy had a Trembling uncontrollably, there was no sign of resistance.
Since the castle was under martial law, the study room was now empty except for the Ravenclaw ghost Lady Grey, who was quietly reading a book. After seeing them come in, Lady Grey—or Helena Ravenclaw—immediately left with a displeased look on her face.
"Okay, now you can tell me." Dudley said seriously: "What happened between you and Harry, and how did Harry's invisibility cloak fall into your hands."
Draco's lips trembled, as if he wanted to say something, but he seemed to be speechless because of fear.
Seeing that Draco was obviously frightened, Dudley felt a little headache. Although he should be sent to Madam Pomfrey for treatment now, he was worried about his confession to his father after he regained consciousness.
"If you don't trust me, I will take you to Professor McGonagall." Dudley had to take a step back, "If you are still worried, I can call Professor Snape, and even your father... ..."
"No! My father can't do it either!" Like a cat whose tail was stepped on, Draco stood up excitedly and shouted sharply: "He...he is not my father now. If If he knows I'm still alive, he might kill me immediately to silence me!"
"Calm down!" Dudley quickly made a silence gesture, and then pushed Draco back on the chair: "What do you mean? Is Lucius Malfoy pretending to be someone else?"
"No, my dad...he has been under the Imperius Curse!" Draco lowered his head in despair, "And it's not just him, it seems that everyone who has been to his office has... ....Professor McGonagall should have been controlled, and it is very possible that Professor Snape is so close to my father...It’s over, no one can save me anymore——"
"Then you have to find a way to save yourself!" Dudley said seriously with a solemn face: "Tell me everything you know exactly. This is the only way to save yourself and your father!"
And according to what they said, Harry should have been wearing an invisibility cloak to eavesdrop. In this case, he should have remained invisible when he was petrified.
