Chapter 888: Chapter 888:- Fragments of Truth



Athena and Hashi Rii both looked at each other.

The moment Athena looked at her maid, she felt that something was wrong. She felt that her maid had changed.

It wasn't her appearance that changed; rather, it was something else.

'It's like I am standing in front of a different person who has the same face as my maid.' Despite becoming suspicious, Athena did not show it.

"My Lady....!!" Hashi Rii acted dramatically and covered her mouth with a look of shock and relief. She became emotional upon seeing her Master.

"I missed you!!" Hashi hugged Athena and began to cry.

'That's a lie!' Athena had the ability to know if someone was telling the truth or lying. Of course, she never told anybody except for her late mother, who sadly passed away in that incident.

'Change in her behavior.' Her maid was reserved. No matter how close they were, unless Athena took the initiative, she would never hug Athena like this and cry dramatically.

"Yeah, I missed you too!!" Athena replied with a small smile on her face.

Athena gently pushed her away and said with a small smile.

"Can I come in?" Hashi was caught off guard. But she nodded her head. Fortunately, she had just put everything in her storage ring, so there was no need for her to be worried.

'She won't be able to find anything suspicious.'

'On that note, I have to find a moment alone to send a message to my superior.'

Hashi Rii leads Athena inside the house.

The moment she stepped inside, she caught a strange smell in the air. It was so faint that even she almost didn't notice it.

But Athena had already been very suspicious of her maid from the beginning. She was on her guard.

'What's with that earring?' Her maid never wore any kind of earring. She had never pierced her ears in the first place. But her left ear was pierced, and there was a silver earring.

"This place has changed." She murmured as she sat on the chair.

"Ah....yes!!" Hashi looked around the house and nodded.

'Of course, this place is gonna change. I have lived here for over a decade now.' It was inevitable that after living here for so many years, some things around the house would change.

"Hashi, before I share my future plans with you, I want to drink some tea made by your hand. Your handmade tea always used to be very special."

Hearing this, Hashi Rii's expression slightly stiffened. This change was so minute that even Athena almost missed it.

'This could be a chance.' Realizing this, Hashi Rii smiled back while nodding.

'I could use this chance to communicate with my organization.'

"Of....course! Please give me a moment." Saying that, she quickly went to the kitchen.

Just as Hashi left, Athena's face became cold and stoic.

'As expected, you're not my maid.'

'My maid sucked at making tea.' For some strange reason, no matter how much she practiced, Athena's maid could never make proper tea. Although the tea looked delicious, it always

tasted really strange. Sometimes, this strange taste even made Athena vomit.

This is why she was forbidden to make any tea for Athena or anyone else.

'Of course, you wouldn't know that. Since you're not her.'

'It looks like those people send you.' Athena realized that coming out of the Pocket Dimension to meet the Celestial Dragon Empire's Emperor and their newborn son was a mistake. Those people must have somehow traced her movements back to this village. After all, this was the place where she last stayed before re-entering the Pocket Dimension to restore her powers.

Athena's eyes fell on the wooden bed.

She stood up and approached the bed. The whole bed was a mess. Pillows were lying here and there. There were no bedsheets or blankets.

But this wasn't what Athena was after.

She gently touched the edge of the wooden bed and closed her eyes.

'I need some answers.'

'This bed should qualify as a medium because it must have absorbed significant emotional energy over time.' After all, this was the same bed that she had seen almost two decades ago.

'Strong emotions, even if it's sexual, still leave a strong imprint on this object. This means it will resonate with my ability.'

Athena focused her Mana on the bed. As she started, fireflies appeared around her and began glowing faintly. The fireflies began reflecting the emotional energy the bed had absorbed over two decades.

There were easily hundreds of fireflies. Fortunately, Hashi was in the kitchen, which was located outside the wooden house. This meant that the fireflies won't come to Hashi's senses. She won't be alerted.

When she opened her eyes, she noticed that the fireflies were glowing really brightly and flying in a more chaotic pattern.

If the emotions are particularly strong or frequent, the fireflies may glow brighter or dance in a more

chaotic pattern.

Her eyes started glowing bright golden, and Athena started seeing things that were previously impossible to see.

She didn't see the full "playback" of events that this bed witnessed. Instead, she was experiencing fleeting, more fragmented impressions of the past.

This was another powerful ability of the Goddess of Wisdom.

It's the ability to see records of the past. This ability was called Memory Keeper.

Although this ability had many restrictions, it was still very useful and helped her in almost

every situation.

Along with seeing fragmented bits and pieces of the past, she also began hearing various

kinds of sounds.

Some of which were really disturbing.

"WELL, NO NEED TO WAIT." She saw an image of Hashi spreading her hole. Along with the

image, she also heard her voice.

Ah....!!!

"Rancher, move your waist harder.....!!"

The fragments changed. Now, she was seeing a few images of yesterday's events.

"I'LL GO AHEAD AND PUT IT IN." She saw a man who looked similar to the young man Named

Rancher. But this man was older and had a little grey hair.

And when she wasn't having sex, the only intense emotion was hatred and anger. During those times, the fragmented images that Athena saw and the voices she heard were Hashi Rii complaining about her current situation.

'Should I stop?' It had been close to 20 seconds, but she had seen no useful information until

now.

There were seconds in which she saw many fragments of images along with a lot of voices in her head. It was so overwhelming, even for someone like her, that she was finding it nearly impossible to focus on one thing.

The sounds of her moaning and fragmented images of her having sex made it even more difficult for her to navigate and focus on anything important and useful.

But then, Athena heard an interesting voice among many other voices. As she focused on that voice, a fragmented image gradually appeared before her eyes while other fragmented images backed part of the background, and other voices became background noises that she

was able to avoid.

"Sir, please allow me to take a short break. I am sick and tired of staying in this village. I

promise I will return within 12 hours." Hashi was rubbing her slit while speaking to someone.

"Hashi, do you want to die?" Instantly, her expression changed. This cold tone turned her

face white. Her hands and legs began to tremble.

"Muy m...my apologies."

"We have found the location of Goddess's other half. Ironically, she is the Ruler of an Empire,

and she happens to be a close friend of the Dragon Monarch. We are preparing to send a team to kidnap her other self. During this time, there is a possibility that the woman might feel it even though her connection with her clone should have significantly weakened by now, but we still haven't verified this info yet."

"If she does feel it, she will come out and find you."

The voices and fragmented images of this event disappeared. Once again, hundreds of fragmented images appeared in her vision, along with countless voices.

Athena had heard enough and let go of the bed.

After using this ability for just 40 seconds, she experienced a mild headache and felt her head

spinning.

'That earring seems to be some kind of communication artifact. This means by now, she

should have given my information to her organization.' But Athena was very calm about it.

She planned to keep herself hidden until the right time came. But now that this happened, she had to change her future plans.

'But that isn't the most concerning part.' It was the fact that the organization knew that she

had the ability to separate a part of her soul and turn it into another half or living clone. If she

loses her clone, then she will lose a chunk of her soul, which means she will lose her powers and will forever be weakened.'

'Not to mention, losing a part of my soul means I will lose a part of myself. There is also a very high chance that this will permanently cripple me.'

'So the first thing that I need to do is find my other half (clone).'

'But the reassuring part of this whole thing is the existence of a new powerful figure of whom

I haven't heard of.'

'This means he rose in power when in the last two decades while I was inside the Pocket

Dimension.'

'Since they mentioned him, this means this Dragon Monarch is a threat to them. Maybe he

will be able to hold on until I arrive.' Athena hoped that this Dragon Monarch could become

an ally. After all, she will need all the help she can get in order to take down the League of Black Tombs.

relief.'

'This also means my maid did not betray me.' If she had been betrayed, the organization would have developed a better plan to deal with her after better understanding her abilities. Instead, they replaced her maid with a fake one.

Hashi nervously waited as she tried to communicate with her superior.

After waiting for about 10 seconds, she finally heard the voice of her Superior.

"What is it?"

"She is here!!" Hashi said in a hurried and hushed tone. Her tone was really low but her superior managed to hear what she said.

"Athena, came out?" The man asked in a slightly louder tone. He sounded excited.

"Yes!!"

"Right now, she is waiting for me in my bedroom. I am making tea for her."

"Alright! Listen to me. Don't make any moves for now. Stay with her until we arrive."

"Sir, are you also coming?" She asked.

"Yes! Give me an update every hour." With that, their communication ended.

After ending her talk, Hashi looked at the pot before her, looking confused.

"Now, how am I supposed to make a tea that her original maid used to make for her?" If she

made tea, then the Goddess would definitely become suspicious of her.

"I have to come up with some other explanation."

"That won't be necessary!!!"
