Dragon Game: All My Dragons Are Ranked 'SSS'

Chapter 74: First summon: Fire Wrymling!

The Draconic Rat Boss monster now looked like it was being forced to smile.

It was devious, malicious, and frightening.

They were all scared, including Devon, which made Drahon surprised since that was him going out of character.

The sight of the Draconic Rat Boss monster was simply sickening.

Sickeningly horrifying.

For Drahon, that sight was the most terrifying he had ever seen in his entire life.

How was it grinning?

This was, in the history of them entering the Dragon game, the first Boss monster they were facing to actually grin.

The previous Boss monsters they faced, although with high IQ, only wanted to kill.

Their main aim was simply kill, but the Draconic Boss monster facing them looked like it wanted to do more than that. This looked like something that wanted to torture them.

Drahon couldn't count the so many times the Boss monster had almost killed him during the chase, but then, he could remember a time it wanted to kill him but didn't. It felt like the Boss monster didn't want to kill him normally. Instead, it wanted to torture him.

It slowly sauntered toward them now, glowing saliva dripping from its mouth, gritting its teeth…

Drahon almost face-palmed when he realized. The Boss monster didn't want to just kill them, it wanted to bite them to death.

Think about it, this Boss monster was the first they were facing that wasn't a fusion of anything.

This was straight-up a Boss monster.

The Boss monsters they faced earlier were formed from the corpses of the monsters, but this just came like that, looking all devious and mischievous.

Drahon, Devon, and Ayvira exchanged glances, too afraid to say a word. They expected the monster to just come at them since it had them in such a deathly position, but then, it wasn't doing so.

It was walking up to them though, but it was more slowly. It was sauntering up to them, its hands stretched wide, its teeth gnawing with precision.

Then…

It lunged at Drahon.

The act took a split second, but for Drahon, it seemed to stretch more than that. He gazed at the monster in the air, his eyes wide open, hopelessness well sunken in his skin.

It was the end…

Until— whoosh!

A large massive wing materialized out of the air, another warping out just as the first one had done…

Then…

Whoosh!

A gust of wind plunged the Boss monster back, and it hit its back on the wall.

A head sprouted out, horns… scales, legs… until, standing in front of Drahon, was a Demon Wrymling.

Drahon, Devon, and Ayvira stared at it in surprise.

The wyrmling crawled out of the air with a low growl, its small claws scraping lightly against the stone floor. It was barely up to Drahon's knee, but its presence was anything but small. Flames curled along its spine, flickering with each twitch of its tail. Its scales were a deep, scorched red, some darker around the joints, like cooled magma. Two small horns curved back over its narrow head, and smoke puffed softly from its nostrils as it snorted.

Its eyes, big for its face, were a molten orange with slitted pupils, curious, alert, and just a bit feral. The wings on its back were leathery and ragged at the edges, glowing faintly with trapped heat. Every now and then, they gave a sharp flap, stirring sparks into the air.

It let out a chirp — a small sound actually. Something that sounded like a half-growl and a half-crackle. Then, it looked back at Drahon, who was scared.

He didn't summon a wrymling, why was one suddenly here? The reason he even knew it was a wrymling was because he was an avid fan of dragons, so he identified all types.

The wrymling looked up at Drahon, nudging his boot with the side of its snout.

Then, without warning, it spun, hissed at nothing, and spat out a stream of fire across the ground, as if daring anything nearby to come close.

Well, anything that came close is the author being soft and so tender with words.

The only thing standing in front of the wrymling was the Draconic Rat Boss monster. The wrymling was smart enough to recognize Drahon and the others as supposedly 'good' people, and now it considered the Draconic Boss monster rat the threat to be annihilated.

Funny enough, the Boss monster had earlier been acting tough, scaring the players and was ready to bite them to death, but now… well, it was sure it was dying. Unless this Boss monster was to just vanish into thin air.

And even though that was to happen, Drahon and the others would have already summoned their dragons, demolishing this foul beast to pieces.

But then, the wyrmling didn't look like something that would be vanishing anytime soon (at least until it was done roaring the Boss monster to ashes).

Words only Drahon could see flashed across his eyes:

[Congratulations player, you've activated a SUMMON!]

[Congratulations player, you've been granted a SUMMON without your asking]

[Congratulations player, you've just summoned a Fire Wrymling!]

Oh, so this wrymling was a fire one. Well, that was pretty interesting.
