Dragon Ball:Vados is my Wife

Chapter 18: Chapter 18. Shocked Vegeta

Kahn effortlessly blocked Nappa's powerful punch with just a finger.

"So soft haven't you eaten?"

Kahn remarked, lifting an eyebrow, his tone devoid of concern, yet full of sarcasm.

"How dare you underestimate me!"

Blue veins bulged on Nappa's forehead as he raged, infuriated by the audacity of someone he considered inferior.

Nappa, Vegeta's right-hand man, had never experienced such disrespect. Overwhelmed by indignation, he raised his left hand, claws clenched into a fist, and prepared to deliver a decisive blow.

"Watch me kill you like crushing an ant!" he bellowed.

In a flash, time seemed to freeze.

The world fell silent as Nappa's fist remained suspended in mid-air, a look of horror dawning on his face. Kahn had his hand back in his pocket after swiftly slicing him in the neck, and a disdained smirk graced his lips.

"The yelling was impressive, but this is the end of the line for you."

Thump!

With those final words, Nappa's colossal body crumbled to the ground as if he were a mere puppet with severed strings. Until his last moments, the realization dawned slowly in his eyes that he had fallen to someone he had utterly dismissed.

"A single move!"

Krillin exclaimed, his voice trembling as he struggled to process the reality of the moment.

Just moments ago, six of them united had failed to harm Nappa anything significantly, and now, he lay defeated, lifeless.

Yamcha swallowed hard, disbelief etched on his face.

"Kahn is so strong! None of us stand a chance against him together!"

Krillin and Yamcha were overcome with shock. They had little faith that such a powerful enemy could be crushed so easily.

"Brother Kahn must have trained intensely"

Goku marveled, realizing that Kahn had surpassed him in strength within just two years. The thought left him both astonished and motivated. If he didn't ramp up his training, he'd never catch up.

Raditz, however, was not marveling but rather recoiling in fear as he gazed at his fallen comrade. Nappa had been a fierce warrior—how could he be defeated so effortlessly? Raditz's mind raced with a single grim realization: Kahn had grown even more powerful than he anticipated.

"Hmph, what a waste,"

Vegeta remarked, his tone uninterested as he surveyed Nappa's cold body. He felt no compassion for Nappa, merely viewing him as a tool that had outlived its purpose.

"Vegeta, no…" Raditz's instincts screamed at him that something was amiss.

"Raditz, you're worrying too much,"

Vegeta replied confidently, brushing aside Raditz's fears. To him, Kahn's victory over Nappa was nothing surprising. It was merely a prelude—it proved nothing.

"You're Raditz's younger brother, Kahn," Vegeta continued, stepping forward, a smirk playing on his lips.

"You did very well just now. If you join our ranks, I will welcome you as my right-hand man. Refuse, and I shall do what must be done."

Kahn chuckled, shaking his head with a bemused expression.

"In my eyes, your ultimatum sounds as absurd as an ant threatening an elephant."

"Is that so?" Vegeta's amusement sparked; he appreciated Kahn's audacity.

The realization struck Vegeta that Kahn would not join them, and if that was the case…

Vegeta raised his thumb defiantly, declaring,

"I am the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta! You're just a low-level fighter, yet you dare to defy me? Allow me to show you my strength!"

Vegeta adopted a fighting stance, and Kahn simply responded by beckoning him closer with a casual flick of his fingers.

The sight of Kahn's casual provocation ignited Vegeta's rage.

"I'm not a weakling like Nappa! Underestimate me, and you'll die a humiliating death!"

With his heart fueled by fury, Vegeta lunged forward, unleashing a flurry of ferocious strikes.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Vegeta's relentless assault engulfed Kahn in a storm of devastating blows—punches, kicks, and energy waves rained down upon him like an unstoppable tempest.

As the dust settled after his furious barrage, Vegeta stepped back, a victorious smile gracing his face.

"What a fool! You took all of my attacks head-on!"

"So what?" Kahn's voice emerged from the dissipating dust, calm and unfazed.

"What?!" Vegeta was taken aback, in disbelief.

That moment, the smoke cleared, revealing Kahn unscathed, standing strong not a scratch nor a speck of dust on him.

"Impossible! No one can withstand my attacks unscathed!"

Vegeta exclaimed, panic creeping into his voice.

Finally registering the gravity of the situation, he pressed the button on his combat power detector, eager to understand the discrepancy. The numbers flickered to life, reflecting Kahn's power level.

As the readings adjusted, Vegeta's expression shifted in rapid succession—from confusion to shock, and finally to fear.

What he had formerly dismissed as a mere underdog had somehow proven to be a grave threat, leaving him in uncertainty.
