NOVEL NEXT Chapter 18 Wrath Unleashed
"Awesome! Vegeta!" Bulma beamed with joy, holding Trunks tightly in her arms as she stood on the edge of the Lookout. Her heart overflowed with pride.
She leaned forward, trying to catch a glimpse of the battle raging far below. Though she wasn't a martial artist and couldn't see the action clearly, the thunderous crashes and agonized screams from the battlefield said enough.
Her joy came not from sight, but sound.
Even little Trunks couldn't help but smile.
Right now, Vegeta was in complete control.
After flattening Android 18, his attention locked onto Android 17, his next target.
Compared to Cooler, the one who truly ignited his fury… was Android 17, the one who had humiliated him before.
But now, the tables had turned.
Vegeta blurred forward, materializing before 17 once again. His leg coiled back, then fired upward like a piston, his knee slamming straight into 17's gut with a thunderclap.
The force was brutal, so much so that it blasted bile from 17's mouth. Within a heartbeat, his body was already tumbling through the air, spiraling out of control.
He spun violently, end over end, unable to steady himself.
"Damn it!" He spat, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. Even with his infinite energy reserves, it meant nothing in the face of Vegeta's overwhelming might.
As he looked up at Vegeta's glowing, golden aura, a wave of unease crept into 17's heart.
Hovering calmly, Vegeta's triumphant smirk never faded.
"Just another piece of scrap," he said coldly. "Your end will be just like that pathetic woman's."
Every word hit like a nerve strike, and a flicker of fear passed through Android 17's eyes. But then, his expression twisted into something darker. He chuckled.
"Heh... Vegeta, I'll admit, you're strong. But arrogance... that's the one thing all Saiyans have in common! Hahaha!"
Before his laughter faded, something massive closed in behind Vegeta.
A shadow loomed.
It was Cooler!
Without warning, he lunged forward, springing the trap he and Android 17 had set.
Cooler's massive arms wrapped around Vegeta, locking down his body in a crushing hold.
Thick limbs clamped tightly around his neck.
"Got you now!" Cooler grunted, straining every muscle to keep the grip tight.
Vegeta's body stiffened. He flailed his arms, struggling against the restraint. Watching Vegeta's apparent desperation, Android 17 couldn't help but sneer.
"Look at you now, how pathetic." He slowly began approaching, savoring the moment.
But just as he got closer, he froze.
Something wasn't right. Vegeta's expression had changed. That grin... it was back.
"How was my acting?" Vegeta said smugly. "Did I give you hope for a second there?"
Both 17 and Cooler blinked in disbelief. In the next instant, Vegeta's muscles surged, his body expanding as power exploded from within.
The air shook.
This was no ordinary Super Saiyan anymore.
This was Super Saiyan 2, the muscular form, the power-packed second tier.
Cooler's eyes went wide in horror. He couldn't hold on, and Vegeta burst free with ease, his aura roaring like a tempest. Before Cooler could retreat, Vegeta grabbed his tail.
Cooler's heart sank. He knew what was coming.
With brute strength, Vegeta spun him overhead, building speed like a cyclone. Cooler roared in pain, caught helplessly in the whirling momentum.
Ten seconds passed, and the spinning hit its peak. Then, with a thunderous yell, Vegeta hurled Cooler like a missile straight at Android 17.
Cooler flew like a cannonball, body stiff and uncontrollable.
The speed was blinding.
Android 17's pupils shrank in horror. By the time he realized what was happening, there was no time to dodge.
Impact was inevitable.
BOOM--!
Seventeen and Cooler collided, face-first, against each other. Their bodies tangled midair, spiraling like a single projectile toward the distant mountains.
CRASH--!
The cliffside split open on impact, and both of them were embedded deep within the shattered rock. High above, Trunks watched from the Lookout, eyes widening as Vegeta powered down his enhanced form.
(He dropped the muscular form? Looks like Father's realized its weakness…)
Without missing a beat, Vegeta shot across the sky like a comet, arriving at the impact site in the blink of an eye.
"I told you I'd take on all three of you," He growled, golden aura crackling. "Did you think I was bluffing?"
He bared his teeth in a feral smirk, eyes locked on the wreckage. Extending his hand, Vegeta swept a cold glare over both of them. Cooler and Android 17, now battered, bloodied, and buried in rubble, exchanged looks. They weren't allies, but right now they shared the same thought:
'Vegeta is a monster.'
"What the hell are you doing?!" They shouted in unison.
Vegeta gave a chilling smile. Then, with brutal precision, he grabbed both by the neck. What followed wasn't a beam or a blast, just the sound of flesh meeting flesh.
Slap! Slap! Slap!
Again and again, Vegeta slapped them senseless, merciless and methodical. Their cheeks turned red and swollen, bruises blooming with each strike.
For a moment, Vegeta's attention shifted to Cooler's faceplate.
Since leaving the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he had only seen Cooler in this fourth form, with that eerie mask always in place.
"Frieza's brother, huh?" he muttered, curiosity creeping in.
His fingers traced the surface of the mask, and a flicker of panic lit up in Cooler's eyes.
"NO, ARGHHH!!!" He screamed as Vegeta dug in and tore.
RIIIP--!
The mask didn't come off like armor, it peeled like flesh. Because it was flesh. It wasn't a helmet, but part of Cooler's exoskeleton. Beneath it: a mangled, bloodied visage, Cooler's true face, twisted in agony and horror.
"You animal! How dare you?!" Cooler bellowed, body erupting with raw, uncontrollable power.
With a surge of fury, he broke free and threw his hands into the sky. A sphere of dark purple energy rapidly formed above him, pulsing with destructive force.
His final trump card.
Vegeta's expression darkened.
He saw the intent instantly.
Planet-destroying energy… just like Frieza.
Without hesitation, he crossed his arms, golden light gathering at his palms.
"FINAL FLASH!!"
The blast shot forth, an immense wave of gold tearing through the sky like a divine serpent. It collided with Cooler's purple sphere head-on.
BOOM---!
The two energies clashed, and the purple sphere buckled. In an instant, Vegeta took control of it. His training had honed his Ki manipulation to perfection. With subtle adjustments mid-blast, he redirected the collision's momentum and hurled it back at its caster.
The energy sphere spun backward, straight at Cooler and Android 17.
KABOOM--!
A storm of light swallowed the sky. The earth trembled. The heavens burned.
Cooler screamed through the chaos.
"Hahaha! Even if you kill me, it won't matter! Bojack… Bojack will come to Earth soon!"
"Damn it, Bojack! Vegeta!! If I'd had time… time to train... neither of you would stand a chance!"
Memories flooded his mind. Since Bojack's escape, Cooler had been hunted like prey. He couldn't beat him. He needed more power, needed the Dragon Balls.
Immortality meant endless training.
He believed, as a Frost Demon prodigy, that time alone could make him unstoppable. But Bojack, merciless and relentless, never gave him that chance. Cooler's frenzied rants continued, but Vegeta had stopped listening.
He poured more energy into the Final Flash with no hesitation. In the next instant, the explosion intensified tenfold. Cooler's body was caught dead center and disintegrated.
Reduced to dust.
…
Elsewhere, far beyond Earth.
In deep space, aboard a looming starship...
"Bojack Sama, Cooler's energy signature just vanished," A woman reported coldly.
She had long orange hair, aqua-blue skin, and a look of detached curiosity.
Zangya.
One of Bojack's most dangerous lieutenants and his lover. Behind her, a towering, muscular warrior with scars and a bandana grinned widely.
"Full speed ahead."
