Night had fallen.

The sky, which should've been as dark as ink, now looked as if it were cloaked in a strange, blood-red veil.

The night itself pulsed with an eerie, oppressive energy.

Cooler's soldiers had already begun their assault on Earth. They rounded up anyone they could find, demanding answers about the Dragon Balls, unaware that most Earthlings knew little to nothing about them.

This wasn't New Namek. Here, the Dragon Balls weren't common knowledge.

Thick smoke curled into the air. The stench of blood lingered, heavy and suffocating.

Earth, already scarred by past battles, now spiraled deeper into chaos under Cooler's invasion.

"Damn it! These Earthlings don't seem to know anything about the Dragon Balls!" Salza snarled, smashing his fist through the wall of a house. The terrified man inside trembled uncontrollably, paralyzed by fear as Salza's cold, glowing eyes locked onto him.

"Aliens… Aliens are attacking Earth!"

Salza sneered, his gaze filled with murderous intent. The man instantly sensed death hanging over him. Just like the ruins of his shattered home, he knew he wouldn't be standing for long.

Yet somehow, panic gave strength to his shaking legs. Without a second thought, he turned and bolted.

Salza didn't chase him. He just stood there, unfazed.

Nearby, Neiz, reptilian and frog-like, tilted his head in confusion.

"Since when did Captain Salza get soft?" Dore, broad-shouldered and reminiscent of Recoome, shared the same doubt, waiting for Salza to explain.

Salza chuckled coldly, then raised a finger and fired a thin beam of energy at the fleeing human.

Zing,!

The laser connected with something, but strangely, the man didn't fall. From a distance, a relieved voice called out, trembling with gratitude.

"Thank you! Thank you both for saving…" Before he could finish, an arm punched clean through his chest.

His lifeless body slumped to the ground. Salza narrowed his eyes at the darkness ahead, where two faint silhouettes began to emerge.

A man and a woman stepped into view.

The blonde woman walked with poise, her high heels clicking softly against the rubble. She glanced at the black-haired man beside her and smirked.

"Oh? Looks like someone's trying to steal our fun."

Android 17 didn't respond. His piercing gaze locked onto Salza and his squad, silent but deadly.

There was something about them, an invisible pressure that made the air feel heavier.

Salza's mind reeled.

(Stealing their fun? Wait… are they after the Dragon Balls too?)

"What the hell? Their battle power is zero!" Dore shouted, his scouter lighting up with disbelief.

He stared at the reading, baffled.

"Oh?" Android 17 tapped his chest. "Talking about me?"

In the blink of an eye, 17 vanished.

Salza's instincts flared; he sensed something deadly.

Boom,!

Dore was already on the ground with a gaping hole torn through his abdomen. Salza and Neiz froze. They hadn't even seen the attack.

The pressure, the presence these two gave off, it was almost identical to the one they'd felt from Frieza Sama himself!

"Lord Cooler! Save me!" Salza screamed into his scouter, his voice desperate as he broadcast the message.

He already knew it was too late. Right after his plea, another arm pierced through his chest, as sharp and clean as a blade.

Neiz fell moments later, meeting the same end.

The android siblings walked calmly through the ruins, casually stepping over debris as they searched for their next prey.

Elsewhere, Cooler stood in silence. He had already received word of his subordinates' deaths, but he didn't so much as flinch.

To a tyrant like Cooler, pawns like Salza held no real value. If he so desired, he could summon a hundred more like them from across the stars.

Still, even a master shows concern when their dog is kicked. With a faint smirk on his face, Cooler turned his gaze toward Earth.

Time to see who dared challenge him.

Cooler raised his head, staring in the direction where Salza had fallen. A sudden, sharp unease flashed through his mind.

"So that's it..." he muttered.

He turned his gaze skyward, toward the Lookout. From the moment he arrived on this planet, Cooler had sensed it, a presence, subtle yet watchful.

"Hmph. Just as I suspected. How dare they spy on me... on this king!"

With a sharp burst of Ki, Cooler launched into the sky, flying straight toward the Lookout.

At the same time, far in the distance, the android siblings caught sight of his ascending figure.

Android 18 brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, smirking as she looked up.

"Well, well. Looks like things just got interesting."

The Lookout.

Mr. Popo's face tensed. Sweat beaded along his forehead.

"He's coming… We've been found!" Son Gohan closed his eyes, focusing his senses. The wave of power heading their way was unmistakable.

"Damn it!" Just as he prepared to fly out and face Cooler alone, Bulma stepped in front of him.

"Gohan, no! You can't fight him, you're not strong enough!"

Gohan's fists clenched tightly. Right now, he was the only warrior ready to stand.

Trunks felt his anxiety spike, this wasn't how things were supposed to unfold.

Everything had changed.

There was no way Gohan could take on Cooler. Still, Gohan raised his power. White-hot energy surged around him, crackling across the Lookout like lightning.

Trunks swallowed hard, his expression turning grim.

'Please, Vegeta... come out soon.'

Mr. Popo's eyes lit up with a rare flicker of hope. In his eyes, Gohan had never looked more like a hero.

Gohan had already made his decision. He would hold Cooler off, no matter what.

But before anyone could move, the atmosphere shifted.

Thud,!

Two footsteps echoed through the sacred platform. The androids had arrived at the Lookout. The tension snapped taut like a drawn wire. Android 17 greeted them with a smirk, his voice calm and disarming.

"Well, hello there."

But this was no friendly visit. It was the arrival of two cold-blooded killers, standing proud on holy ground.

Thud!

Another set of footsteps echoed behind them.

Everyone turned to face the new arrival. Cooler had landed. His sharp eyes scanned the surroundings, taking in the sight of the strange platform floating high above the world.

This place wasn't normal. And if the Dragon Balls were anywhere, it was likely here.

"Hand over the Dragon Balls."

Android 17 gave Cooler a slow once-over. "Huh... this guy looks a lot like Frieza."

Cooler's stare darkened, his gaze cutting into 17. "You know Frieza?"

17 let out a chuckle. "Yeah. Just some garbage we scraped off our boots."

Cooler smirked. He didn't even disagree. "You're not wrong. He was trash. But I, as his elder brother, am far more powerful. I like you. My men were just killed... how about it? Want to work for me?"

Trunks nearly burst out laughing. A wave of relief and amusement washed over him.

(He wants Android 17 to be his subordinate? Oh, this is going to be good...)

Sure enough, Android 17 raised an eyebrow and broke into a mocking laugh.

"Haha!! Did I hear that right?" He turned to Android 18. "Hey, Sis! This guy actually wants me to work for him!"

His laughter echoed across the Lookout, unrestrained and sharp.

Android 18 couldn't help but giggle too.

Cooler's expression twisted, his eye twitching, veins bulging along his temple.

"What's so funny?!" In an instant, 17's laughter stopped. His tone turned cold.

"You mean those three fools I just erased? Call those your 'subordinates'? They weren't even a warm-up."

At that moment, something clicked in Bulma's mind. Her eyes lit up.

"Oh! Lord Cooler! You're looking for the Dragon Balls, right? Well, the ones on Earth… are gone. The androids destroyed them. They killed the Guardian of Earth. So, no Guardian... no Dragon Balls."

Her words struck Cooler like a thunderbolt.

Memories of New Namek resurfaced, how the Great Elder had ended his own life just to stop Cooler from seizing the Dragon Balls. Turning them to stone.

Cooler's eyes narrowed, his pupils trembling with rage.

Red lightning crackled around his body.

Whoosh!

A burst of energy exploded outward as Cooler charged, his fury locked onto the androids.

Trunks's nerves finally eased, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Well played, Bulma. That was genius.
