Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training

Chapter 39: Truly a "Blind Spot!"

Nail shut his eyes tightly, bracing for impact. After a moment, he cautiously touched his head, realizing he hadn't been blown away. Opening his eyes, he saw Krillin standing calmly in front of him. Tears of relief welled up in Nail's eyes.

Krillin stood silently, extending a single finger. With just a casual wave, Shatz's ki blast dissipated into nothingness.

Turning to Nail, Krillin shouted, "What are you wailing about? You're not dead yet, are you?" Despite his harsh words, Krillin was secretly impressed by Nail's performance.

Seeing Krillin, Nail rushed forward, grabbing his hand and wailing loudly, "Lord Krillin, you're finally here! Without you…"

From a distance, Shatz observed the absurd sight of the towering 2-meter-tall Nail clutching the diminutive 160-centimeter Krillin. The scene would have been almost comedic if not for Shatz's growing terror. He couldn't stop trembling as he realized how effortlessly Krillin had nullified his ki blast with just a finger.

Unable to suppress his fear, Shatz's body began shaking uncontrollably, sweat pouring down his face. All he could think about was turning tail and running.

Krillin turned slowly, his gaze locking onto Shatz. That single look froze Shatz in place, as though he were pinned to the ground, unable to move.

Krillin floated leisurely toward Shatz. Watching him approach, Shatz's face turned ashen with dread. At that moment, he fully understood the smallness of life in the face of death, especially when it seemed so imminent.

When Krillin finally stopped before him, Shatz was trembling violently. Seeing that Krillin remained silent, Shatz stammered nervously, "L-Lord… may I leave?" His voice was filled with desperate hope.

"What?" Krillin said loudly, placing a hand on Shatz's shoulder. The alien nearly broke into tears, his knees buckling under the weight of Krillin's mere presence. If not for Krillin's hand steadying him, Shatz would have collapsed entirely.

Nail flew over, looking to Krillin for instructions. "Lord Krillin, what should we do with him?" He mimed a cutting motion across his neck with his hand.

The sight made Shatz gasp sharply, and his eyes rolled back as he fainted on the spot, falling to the ground with a loud thud.

Krillin sighed. "This is too much effort. Forget it, no more theatrics. Wake him up, Nail."

Nail approached Shatz, patting his face lightly. "Hey, wake up!" When that didn't work, Nail smacked him harder while shouting, "I said wake up!"

Shatz groggily opened his eyes, confused at first. "Who… where am I?" But when he remembered his situation, his face fell into a pitiful expression of despair.

Krillin said coldly, "You can do it yourself, or we'll do it for you."

Understanding the implied threat, Shatz prepared to fire a ki blast at himself to end it all. Seeing this, Krillin rolled his eyes and said impatiently, "Enough! Nail, tie him up. Let's go."

Shatz was stunned. "They're… not going to kill me?"

"Yes, Lord Krillin!" Nail responded enthusiastically, his respect for Krillin shining through.

As Krillin led the way, he pondered silently, How can I get the Dirt Mound people to willingly hand over the Perseus Stones? This is tricky. Being the good guy isn't easy. He instinctively rubbed his shiny bald head.

Nail, meanwhile, dragged the tied-up Shatz with an unknown rope, barking orders at him. "Move it, Shatz! Or should I call you 'Blind Spot'? Coming to our planet to cause trouble, provoking Lord Krillin of all people—are you tired of living?"

Shatz shouted in protest, "Lord Nail, I swear I've never harmed your people! I only just arrived on Dirt Mound Planet, and I'd never dare provoke Lord Krillin!"

"Enough chatter! A captive should act like one!" Despite his harsh tone, Nail loosened his grip slightly, visibly swayed by Shatz calling him "Lord Nail." Moreover, Shatz's claim of never harming his people struck a chord with Nail's inherently kind nature. Still, he thought, Words alone aren't enough. I'll bring him before my people to confirm.

Back at the mining site, the place was now deserted. Nail called out, "Avila! Avila!" Since he only knew Avila's name, it was the best way to gather everyone.

His voice echoed across the empty field. After a moment, a small figure peeked out cautiously from behind a rock—a girl with bright eyes and light yellow hair. Seeing Nail, she smiled and ran toward him.

"Avila, come back! Don't go out there!" her father called anxiously from behind the rock.

"It's fine, Father! It's Nail!" Avila turned and gave her father a brilliant smile before dashing toward Nail.

Her father hesitated. "Nail? Could it be that clansman from before?"

Reaching Nail, Avila grabbed his hand, her eyes sparkling with hope. "Big Brother Nail, did you drive off the invaders?"

Seeing her hopeful expression, Nail nodded firmly. "Yes, they've been driven off. They won't enslave us anymore."

"You fool! You have no idea how powerful those aliens really are. You'll bring disaster upon us all!" Avila's father emerged from the corner, his tone reminiscent of the old man Nail had rescued earlier.

"No, we're saved!" The old man himself appeared from the shadows, his voice steady and resolute.

"Father, are you okay?" Avila's father rushed to support the elder.

Waving off the concern, the old man said, "I'm fine. Nail has brought reinforcements. The Galactic Patrol has sent help!" His words carried a deep sense of relief.

"What? The Galactic Patrol really sent someone?" Avila's father exclaimed, astonished.

Krillin, observing the scene, couldn't help but shake his head. The Galactic Patrol's reputation sure carries weight here. These people must have been isolated for too long.

Nail declared confidently, "That's right! This here is Lord Krillin, the strongest in the Galactic Patrol!"

Avila's father, overwhelmed, began to cry tears of joy. "We're saved! We're finally saved!"

"Come out, everyone! We're saved! The Galactic Patrol has come to rescue us!" Avila's father shouted toward the hidden clanspeople.

Suddenly, heads began popping out from various hiding spots. Some voices carried doubt: "The Galactic Patrol really sent someone?"

But the message quickly spread. Soon, a sea of people emerged, shouting and crying with relief: "The Galactic Patrol has come to save us!"
