Chapter 1: Reincarnation
Life in society can be incredibly stressful, and this manifests itself in many areas: in politics, at work, in interpersonal relationships and even in studies.
Sometimes, the simple act of existing seems to consume us, both physically and mentally. It is no wonder that the idea of a simpler life, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, becomes so appealing.
I thought about selling everything, leaving behind the chaos of everyday life and starting from scratch in the countryside, working the land, embracing agriculture and seeking a simpler, more peaceful way of life, connected to nature.
On the internet, this idea of a simple life in the countryside often generates discussions, memes, and even deep reflections.
Often, what we want most is to escape the whirlwind of daily obligations and rediscover the simplicity of a time without external pressures.
When we think of simplicity, our minds immediately go back to the innocence of childhood.
Childhood is a period when the world around us is a great mystery, and each new day is an experience that fascinates us.
We don't fully understand the complexity of what happens, but we are enchanted by everything: the blue sky, the animals, the lush nature, the people, and even the new technologies.
Everything seems like a great discovery.
For example, when I was a child, I had a hobby that made me forget everything around me: watching cartoons.
And of all of them, the one that fascinated me the most was Dragon Ball.
The Dragon Ball universe seemed magical and limitless to me. A world where people could shoot energy blasts from their hands, fly, and teleport.
Those epic battles, full of incredible powers, made me dream of a world where possibilities were endless. Each episode was a window into a universe full of adventures and emotions.
This fascination with the magic of that world made me momentarily forget reality, transporting me to a realm where my imagination could roam freely, unbound by any limitations.
Who has never imitated the iconic Kamehameha with their hands, hoping to launch a powerful energy blast? Or brought their two index fingers to their forehead, trying to teleport away?
Dragon Ball, because of these experiences and because it is a fantastic work, inspired and still inspires millions of people.
It made everyone root for Genkidama, raising their hands to help Goku defeat the terrible Majin Boo.
These memories and feelings hit me hard one morning, when, while reading a news story on my cell phone, I learned of the death of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball.
The shock took over me. My body froze, but the world continued to move.
However, in the midst of this mourning, something strange happened. Stopped in the middle of the crosswalk, an out-of-control truck approached and, in an instant, ran me over, taking my life.
Instead of feeling fear or despair, an indescribable calm took over me. It was as if I were a person far from the event, someone who was watching the scene and not participating in it.
Time seemed to stop. I watched the truck, frozen in space, the people around it, motionless, and the entire world in a suspended pause. Everything was silent.
And then, suddenly, with a snap, I woke up. I was no longer in the middle of the street, but inside a capsule.
Confused, I tried to search for visual information about what was happening around me. Suddenly, a strange sensation took hold of me, as if I had an extra limb on my body.
As I explored this sensation, I detected the presence of a furry tail.
It didn't take a genius to piece together the clues. I had been reincarnated into the world of Dragon Ball and, to top it off, as a Saiyan.
A strange sensation emerged from within me, a feeling of joy? That too... but mainly of excitement.
I was in the world of Dragon Ball, and soon everything I had fantasized about as a child would become reality.
The power, the epic battles, and, most importantly, the possibility of flying, throwing energy blasts and training to become stronger.
Soon, a man with a tail and a woman approached the capsule.
The man was the epitome of a typical Saiyan warrior, his tail wrapped tightly around his waist, dressed in a battle uniform.
His dark, spiky hair framed a green Scouter over one eye, giving him an air of readiness.
A prominent scar ran diagonally across his face, from his eye to his cheek, a testament to his battle experience.
However, his vision showed no trace of blindness, and suggested that he remained in excellent health, a seasoned warrior who had seen countless conflicts.
The woman next to him had green hair, also wore a Scouter, and had no scars or marks on her face.
She was shorter than the man's, and there was no tail around her waist.
This suggested two possibilities: either she wasn't a Saiyan, or she had lost her tail in battle.
The Saiyans, renowned as one of the most powerful races in the universe, were famed for their extraordinary combat abilities.
Their primary economic activity revolved around planetary colonialism, they conquered planets, wiped out native species, and sold the worlds to the Arcosians. And the only force that was capable of subjugating the Saiyans was Freeza and his family.
But what if things weren't so straightforward? On Earth, humans could seamlessly produce hybrids with Saiyans despite being entirely different species. Could this imply there was more to their biology than met the eye?
This raises the possibility that the Tuffles, the original natives of Planet Vegeta (formerly known as Planet Plant), may have been assimilated by the Saiyans, creating Tuffle-Saiyan hybrids.
The Tuffles, despite not standing out in fighting power like the Saiyans, had advanced scientific abilities.
They were annihilated by the Saiyans, but the idea of a hybrid between these two races doesn't seem so absurd.
This hinted at a potential fusion of cultures and abilities, paving the way for a new generation of warriors, maybe stronger, more intelligent, and perhaps more adaptable.
This may be similar to Earth hybrids in the future.
The woman, lacking a tail, might have been a Tuffle or even a Saiyan hybrid, underscoring the complexity of the Dragon Ball universe.
It was a reminder that this world, despite its outward simplicity, held far more depth and nuance beneath the surface.
I didn't know yet what the future held for me, but one thing was certain: I was about to live the greatest adventure of my life.
